OK, I just thought I should share another one of my twisted little idea´s that I had. It is not a theory that I support myself but everysince I thought of it once, I asked myself why not to share it with all the rest.
Mods, please read the entire thread first before you consider merging it to an existing one.
Alright, we had lots of discussions about the meaning of D. and Luffy´s relation to Roger etc. So since there´s so much about different thoughts about it I had one weird idea running through my head, that is so weird that it actually belongs into a seperate thread. So here it goes:
I´ve been thinking that what if Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Luffy are the same person?
Yeah, ok whatever laugh at me, but at least let me develop and explain the idea.
I mean Roger had everything, Wealth, Fame, Power. He found the greatest treasure of all and became the Pirate King. There was obviously nothing more for him to aim for, that´s probably why he could accept death.
Now it gets very speculative…I asume that in his time there was no Devil Fruit users, heck maybe One Piece has something to do with the DF´s themselves. So he probably didn´t have to fight all this crazy opponents and lacks this experience.
Another speculation is that Gold Roger maybe found somehow a way how his spirit can be reborn in another human being. Please don´t ask me any specifics for it, it is just a stupid assumption with no logic evidence.
So to bring all the assumptions together, what if Gol D. Roger found himself a way to again experience that much great adventure only to this time have even more obstacles in the way? I mean maybe somehow the scattering of the DF´s around the world could be his doing (or one of his nakama did this for him as his last will).
Other then that he it was him who started the Great Pirate Age with his last words, so in his death he was still victorious against the World Government because he sent so much pirates out to the seas.
The Great Pirate Age in comparison to the many Devil Fruits out there would definitely be a whole new experience for him and a great adventure.
Now we come to the final point, the reborn spirit stuff. All the Devil Fruits and the many pirates are not that much of a challenge if you remember your last great adventure, so maybe if he gets reborn he loses all of his memory. At least so his adventures would a whole new experience for him (again).
Or maybe his spirit even split up into two (or more) different people. Gold Roger seemed to be intelligent judging from what he wrote next to Skypiea´s porneglyph but Luffy isn´t that smart. So what if Roger´s desire for adventure and the dreaming naivity was somehow passed to Luffy and the intelligence to Ace?
I mean it´s all a basic stupid theory but it was still a complex construct of thoughts that I felt I should share it with everyone. I´ve made some hints about this sometimes before but I never shared the whole idea. So here it is. Now flame me if you want.
PS: I hope the mods will let this thread stand alone since even if it of the same nature as existing threads, it still has something that should rather be left alone.
