Wow, Naruto was lisenced! It's amazing though. Out of all the companies out there, I didn't expect the one to get it would be ShoPro. The big three I thought would get it would be either 4Kids, FUNi, or Bandai.
ShoPro really is a small company. If the merge with Viz wouldn't happen, then I bet ShoPro would become much more popular becuase of Naruto. Also, when Viz and ShoPro do merge, they're keeping only the Viz name, right? And I forgot, when is the Viz/ShoPro merge happening, sometime in March right?
I've never seen any dubbing done by ShoPro, but I seriously hope it's good. And we're obviously getting the Ocean Group to voice Naruto. Too bad, I desperatly wanted Steven Jay Blum to voice Kakashi.
And as for what it will be on, there's three possibilities, Kids WB, Toonami, and Adult Swim. Megaman EXE is on KWB after all, but I think it'll be too much for a Saturday morning cartoon. Then again, I said the same thing about One Piece, and look what happened. Also AS recently said they have no intention yet of aquiring the rights to air Naruto, but that could change. Toonami's my best bet though. And I have the feeling, the DVD's will come out after the episodes air on TV. <_<
I really wanted 4Kids to get Naruto, so the Narutards would shut up, but now not so much. Naruto is a great series(though not nearly as great as One Piece is), and no great series should suffer by the hand of 4Kids, so I'm glad it was saved from their demonic grip. Yeah, we'll have to put up with Narutards, and if it airs on Toonmi, n00b Narutards, but we'd have to put up with annoying fans no matter who lisenced it. I do know all of us One Piece fans are pissed, but remember 4Kids recently announce uncut One Piece DVD's, so it's cool.(if 4Kids stops using dubtitles.)
