What if they took Dic's Sailor Moon approach by adding a lesson at the end of every episode? Now that would be the worst thing to happen to the dub. I know that they're merging episodes in Louge Town. If it keeps up, they'll be at Arabasta by next year.

I imagine that in the future in all One Piece fight scenes, the words "POW, BAM, WHAM!" will explode onto the screen in red and yellow every time someone is supposed to get hit.

Mr. 9: I think I mentioned before that they'll give him a Brittish accent. I thought they'd make him sound like Mad Mod from Teen Titans.
Mr. 8: If they make him sound like James from Pokemon, I'll be so pissed off. They probably will change his throat-clearing "Mah mah mah!" to something stupid.

Considering I'm British, and 4Kids would usually use a British accent in a totally stereotypical way, like, "Oh, let's have tea and crumpets, what?"
Hopefully, the worst edits will either be a long way off, or will just never happen. I bet if someone contacted Toei Animation, or Oda himself, about the terrible editing done to the story, someone would be pissed off about it. I wonder if 4Kids will meet the final hurdle, when dealing with One Piece.
I remember the whole arguments with Dragonball Z, years ago.. which has already finished, and is too late to complain about, but.. I heard that when the American VA's from Funimation did the dubbing on the video-game, they sent a few Japanese representatives to oversee it, for quality purposes.
Was this just a rumour, or, something that actually happened?

Miss Goldenweek will probably be turned into a spoiled brat. She's supposed to be quiet and simple-minded, but 4 Kids obviously won't care about keeping the characters personalities. You know this because Sanji is a complete ass now, and they made it look like Nami enjoyed being a pirate in the first episode.

You know how in Little Garden when Mr. 3 turns Nami, Zoro, and Vivi into his own wax sculptures? Well, he mentions that after the wax hardens, they'll die. Well, here's what I think they'll do, since they can't have death. Mr. 3 will say something like "Your bodies will turn into wax!". I knew that arc would be screwed in the dub the second I saw the sub of it.

The fight between Zoro and Mr. 1 in Arabasta will most definetely be edited. Did you see the blood stains on Zoro's clothes? And the Usopp and Chopper vs. Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas fight. Does anyone expect them to keep Usopp breaking almost every bone his body? If they don't, then there'll be no reason for them to show him in a full body cast.
One the 4 Shame thread, there was a funny picture of what they'll do to Bon Clay. Instead of the swans and the dress, he had tights, and wasn't wearing makeup. It'll suck if they change the way he acts. There was another one of Nami's Water 7 clothes. It had long sleeves and pants, and at the bottom, there was a caption that said "Hey, look; it's Grandma!". I doubt that 4 Kids really thinks that Nami's clothes are inapropriate. Sure, they're revealing. But who cares?

I've got some more voice predictions:
Dorry and Broggy: They'll both have the pitch of their voices lowered, and that annoying, double-over effect.
Mr. 3: He'll probably sound like Vin Diesel, since he kind of looks like him.
Vivi: For some reason, 4 Kids will give her a hispanic voice. You know, the stereotype that you'd probably hear her say "Oh no you didn't!".
Okay; that one was just a joke. Since she's a princess, they feel like they need to make her arrogant and bitchy.
Mr. 4: I'll laugh so hard if they make him sound like Peter on Family Guy. But, they won't do that. Maybe they'll just make him sound like Cartman from South Park or something, since he's so fat.
So far, there's been some 'debate' on what they'll do to Bon Clay. I don't know if anyone at 4 Kids is homophobic, but they won't think that a man in a dress is appropriate for kids to see. Next thing we know, Bon Clay the okama is some tough guy.

Trust me 4kids has no problem with crossdressing. If you've ever watched Pokemon there are countless, I repeat countless episiodes were James has dressed up as a women, with make up to boot. They only thing they cut out was when james was in a bikini and had his inflatable breasts on. Also they are constantly adding dirty sounding lines into Pokemon, such as:
James: I should have took the straight path.
James: I like my dishes flaming!
Meowth: Yeah, that might be right up his tree. You know how the boss likes having anything just so long as that thing is the biggest or the best?
Meowth: That ain't all that'll be enhanced when the boss sees this!

4 Kids can't possibly dub all of One Piece. They'll probably give up around Arabasta, since there's no way they can show an arc that's extremely violent and focuses on war. Especially if it's in a Mideast-esque setting. If they can actually find a way around the plot without going out of Y7, then wow; I'll be really surprised, and not in a good way.

If and when they get to Water 7, the casting will be so unfitting. I don't think Lucci will sound like mobster. I think I mentioned in this thread that they'd make him sound like Slash (You know; the guy from Guns n' Roses), since he looks like him with the top hat and everything. But, they probably won't. Why do I think that Calipha will be British?
