Yeah i guess i just missed them assuming they ran out on Friday. Come to think of it, was the Funimation booth only there on firday because i don't remember seeing it in the dealers room on Saturday, oh well.

The line was pretty miserable at times though. They need to do an overhaul on the registration process. They would have gotten more money out of me if I was able to get in on Friday. I'm pre-registering next year for sure.

The movie was cool, or at least what i saw of it. Did you see the Funi premiere, and how did you like this years con compared to others? The uncut DVD's should be cool.

Yeah the Funimation booth was there all three days. I remember them trying to get rid of all their DVD's on Sun. And I didn't get to see the premiere so I can't say much about it. I saw a trailer for the DVD though. not much info there either.

This year's con was not as enjoyable as the years before. I spent most of my time waiting in line and only went to a few panels. And there were some personal problems regarding some friends. But I got some cool stuff, met alot of cool people and the main events weren't so bad. I did wish they had more One Piece stuff though(trying not to get off topic). I only saw a couple of P.O.P figures. I really wanted one but was short on cash.

One thing I was glad though was that the Pirates saved the day at the Event(there was captain jack sparrow, davy jone, CP9 nami, shanks and luffy.) I hope that One Piece fever catches on by next year. I want more One Piece stuff!

WHAT!!!! I'm kind of mad i didn't get one of those cause I was there. If you had a strip of a cooler scene i would be uber jealous. What day and where were they giving those away?

I believe it was on friday because that was when the Funimation Panel was on. That was where I learned that they were real strips. There were located at the Funimation Booth in the dealer's room. It was the first row all the way to the left when you first get in, where the One Piece Unlimited Adventure game was set up.

Also I felt bad for the people, like you, who had to wait in line for about 9 hours. They really messed up this year. Hopefully they'll fix it next year. They mentioned that the used up all the budget for the The Pillows. Maybe next time they should concentrate on the experience rather than the events.

Also I did not know that they did a screening of movie 8, I know they did a "premiere" of the funi dub of the first episode. Man I can't wait till the uncut DVDs.

I don't know if anyone brought this up, but I just came back from Anime Boston 2008 and got something really cool. A bookmark that is made up of the film strip from One Piece Movie 8. I thought they were reproductions but it was confirmed by the guys at Funi that they are the real deal. One of the booth girls were giving them away.

I can't stand to think that people who got these that don't like One Piece probably threw them away. But that's exactly why I have two because I found one on a random table.

Of course,you have to take in the fact that Gold. D Roger was executed in front of a crowd of people. Unless it was some kind of plot and Gol. D Roger is still alive. Who knows…

I remember hearing somewhere that animation took around 6 months to make(not sure). But with recent technology advances, I guess some time shorter than that.

I thought it was okay. I mean, it just felt different and it didn't really appeal to me. I had high hopes for this movie too. I think the funniest thing that happened was

I tend to ignore the dub. I just wanted to see what Ace would sound like. And that rock gets cold sometimes….
