@Big_Bad_Lith:
I think most words that can be translated, should be translated. For comprehension's sake. However, in some cases the Japanese should be left in to preserve the feeling of "this is japanese as fuck". Like the Shinigami of Bleach, or Kenichi's Karate move names. But in every case, a translation should be included, either in the margins or at the end of the chapter.
"hime" is a prime example of something that should be translated. It's not even used as a suffix here, which would be dumb but slightly more understandable.
As someone who deals with translations quite a bit I totally sign this. I can't fault people for thinking certain things sound better(in which case make an effort to learn the original language, it's worth it the original is almost always better [Especially with books]. I've only found disney to deliver in any language with their classics but I might not have seen enough to judge this fairly) but I personally think it's silly to mix different languages based on sound preference too much.
There might be certain cases where one might argue that leaving a word in the original language might be more beneficial since it might carry a nuance that might not translate to well but if possible clever rewrites should be applied in these cases (in my opinion).
The only time I get annoyed if I encounter unnecessary rewrites, that make me think "really did the translators think we are that dumb?".
An example of that would be when someone shouts in pain in the original but yells in the translation "Iiiiit huuuuurts!".
You encounter similar cases quite often in video games.
