viz doesn't dub one piece, that's funimation.
Bleach Discussion Part 2

-
true but why should viz drop one piece? that would anger alot of fans and make them think…great now the series has no hope here in the states...I still get odd looks at comic stores when I say I even like OP.
-
1. Viz isn't touching OP: all they have is the manga and that's probably cheaper to release than some of their anime.
2. I do notice that the anime industry is in the midst of a massive restructuring in this country due to bad practices for years and this Bleach announcement is just the latest in a line of news. Hopefully when they find the money, they will dub past the Bount but as is we only get what they can do.Edit: there is a spoiler showing Kira, Hisagi, Ikkaku and Yumichika but doesn't say if this is HM or SS/Karakura. (thus the only non-counted SS character currently are Momo and Nanao)
Edit2: Chapter seems to go like this:
-Ichigo/Ulquiorra begins (Ulquiorra draws sword)
-Chapter goes back to Karakura: with Aizen behind the "firewall", Barrigan appears to be leading. He realizes that the "spell" involves four pillars protecting Karakura
-He sends fraccion (spoiler doesn't say his own or someone else's) to destroy said pillars, they meet up with "those four". -
Here's a spoiler picture
!
-
Barrigan calling shots while Azien is locked up, guess he's the under bowss. I hope Kubo keeps focus at Karakura town for the rest of the chapter.
-
Somehow this chapter seems to finally in my head settle in some ideas in how this first phase of the Karakura war will take place. Some thoughts:
-Assumably the first time Barrigan appeared, he was shown with 4 Fraccion…those are the four fighting opponents of VC-level or higher (Ikkaku).
-Once Barrigan's fraccion leave, that leaves us with four Fraccion (Mira Rose, Sun Sun, Apachi, Lillinete) and four VC (Choujiro, Omaeda, Iba, Matsumoto), giving them obvious opponents.
-Now that leaves us with 6 Captains and 3 Espada...and considering they may be the Vastrolordes, putting two Captains per Espada makes sense. As I imagine it currently:
1. Yamamoto seems to be aiming towards Barrigan...and I see Komamura joining him due to loyalty
2. Shunsui and Ukitake are probably going to end up with Stark
3. Soifon and Halibel will occur...shrimpo will be there for matching up but probably just sit and watch this one, maybe use his shikai to make snowcones, I don't know.
-Furthermore, if SS gets owned on any level or gets too tired to take on Aizen, Gin and Tousen, there's still all the wild cards out there (Vaizard, Urahara's group, the daddies) -
@Tokoro:
3. Soifon and Halibel will occur
Halibel would have destroyed Soi-Fon back when she was only a hollow. Now that she's an Espada Soi-Fon probably won't even register on the radar anymore.
shrimpo will be there for matching up but probably just sit and watch this one, maybe use his shikai to make snowcones.
That sounds about right.
-
you forget that most of these captains are weak as hell
The only captains that can probably stand up to the strongest 3 espada are Yamamoto and Shunsui. Ukitake is sick so he's kind of screwed.
Then again, power levels really mean nothing in Bleach

I didn't say the captains were going to win. I'm just saying that until the wild cards arrive, the best strategy for SS is two captains per Espada. It may not matter but at least it will give them a little more than just going one-on-one against possible Vastrolordes.
-
Yeah, but they still do the manga.
The viz anime company has nothing to do with the manga.
-
Hopefully they can defeat those three Espadas somehow.

-
different branches.

Look at this ESPADA FANBOY! LOL, I love the way everyone assumes captains are gonna get there cheeks handed to them.

For one thing, we don't even know what Halibel does anyway. Heck, the speed expert of the Espada turned out to be Zolmarri…I didn't say Soi-fon had a chance, I just needed to pair them up and that's how it turned out.

I consider myself a Halibel fanboy. Please treat me as such.

Of course, and I just explained what the inevitable outcome of such a "pairing" would be. The moment Halibel releases a tiny fraction of her spirit pressure Soi-Fon will become vaporized.
-
Well Halibel does have a 33.3% chance of being the strongest Espada.
-
I thought we had already established that a woman can't be #1.
-
Well even if she is the number one Espada she would still have the three traitor shinigami captains that are higher in rank then her.
-
Everyone knows that Barrigan is espada no.1 not stark and not Hallibel.
-
Everyone knows that Barrigan is espada no.1 not stark and not Hallibel.
We can't assume anything until Kubo shows us their numbers. For all we know, one of the Fraccions could be the real #1. (well OK, that's not going to happen but we shouldn't predict without him showing us numbers)
-
I only say this since Barragan is the old man of the espada's.
-
I sort of figured something was going to be out today (since Jump is out Saturday this week), but I really didn't think it was going to be Bleach first. (its Jojohot but still…its out). A few further interesting comments:
-Barragan creating and sitting in a floating chair in the middle of the air...is funny. Don't ask me why.
-The four pillar-attacking Hollows...were all fodder for the VCs. Meh.
-Lillinette is as feisty as ever, literally kicking Stark's butt.
-And back in HM...um, who cares really, not much happened at all. -
Well it a better chapter than the previous at least.
-
Barragan's either #1 or #3. Latest chapter shows him taking charge since Aizen's trapped. But than again Halibel and Stark might just be letting him do it since they don't see it a bother to join in themselves just yet
-
This post is deleted!
-
Chapter was ok but the beginning was maddddd chessy
-
Chapter was better than last week…
Anyone noticed how Yammamoto is just pwning everyone..Aizen and his goons are easily caged up and now he made the Espadas look like fools!
-
Erm, what's a Juureichi again?
-
Baragan was hilarious. "Don't underestimate me, I got my pimp throne right here with me!"
everyone silenced by his logic :D
Erm, what's a Juureichi again?
A place of high spiritual activity and a connection between the worlds. Karakura town.
! > –--- Page 09 -----
Yamamoto: Tthe actual method itself is of no alarm, but the base materials are the real concern. To initiate the "Sousei" for the "Royal Key," 100,000 souls situated in a small area with a large deposit of spiritual activity is required.
Orihime: 100,000... souls...
Yamamoto: Well, that and the souls can't just be of any sort. They must be in a location considered to be "Juureichi" which acts as a nexus between the Living and Spirit Worlds. The "Juureichi" changes with the passing of time, but each time it marks a place where spirits can effortlessly pass into and gather in the Living World.
Translation Notes: Going by context I think "Juu-" is written first with "genesis" or "origin" in mind here instead of its other meanings like "injury." "-reichi" is written as "holy ground."
Oddly enough, the entire description Yamamoto gives for the "Juureichi" is another specialized phrase in itself "gense ni okeru reiteki tokui ten." I gave it my best without Aki here and had it as a nexus between the worlds. In the context given, it truly is a unique point of spiritual composition.
Yamamoto: ... So now you understand. Aizen has already found that vital location.
----- Page 10 -----
Yamamoto: Karakura Town is presently the "Juureichi."

Barragan's pimp throne was off the chain.

Actually he's #2 after Stark.
-
I did markout for Ikkaku,Yumichika, and Kira's appearence at the end of the chapter.
-
-
i think that Stark is higher than Barragan only because that little girl kicked Stark's ass for obeying him
-
starkfanboy/fangirl
Not really. Read any halfway decent analysis of this chapter's dialogue and you will understand why it has confirmed 1.Stark 2.Baragan 3.Hariber. It's not like this comes as a surprise to the observant reader.
-
no you have it backwards 1.Barragan 2.Stark 3. Hallibel.
-
Everyone knows that Barrigan is espada no.1 not stark and not Hallibel.
I will not say that, i still say Stark is number 1, and barrigan is the new number 2
-

Thanks. Didn't know what to make of it.
-
@Chaos:

Great, your comment of Barragan is "the new Number 2" made me briefly imagine Grimmjow doing a Patrick McGoohan being #6 and all…
-
I could see Barragan being the original first espada, and Stark is the new first espada, and just doesn't want to accept his responsibilities
But I'd much rather Barragan be number 1. Fucking throne
-
snorts Pimp throne! If there's one thing Kubo does well it's priceless little moments like that.
The pace was about as slow as ever, but character exposition is always good stuff in my book. An enjoyable chapter.
And it's such pretty art.
-
I know why everyone wants stark to be no.1 cause he's cool looking and because he's done more than the other 2…..it's like listening to everyone babble on and on, on how Uliquiorra was no.1 and they all found out that he's really no.4. I can't wait to see the look on your face's when they reveal that stark is no.2. BTW did anyone notice that Barragan took hold of the situation quicker than both stark and halibel it's as if those
two are skull numbed retarted or somethin. -
I still hope that Halibel is higher than one of the others, it was already stated that she was 3?
-
Chapter was kinda slow and uneventful…Some interaction between the Espada was alright but we need some fighting and less build up.
-
Barragan will fight while sitting in his pimp throne and not get up from it.
-
Yay for Stark getting kicked again. Maybe it's the lolicon in me, but I really hope Lillinette manages to not get offed during this whole thing…
...who am I kidding, it's definitely the lolicon in me.
But yeah, yay Stark and Lillinette. And the fucking Pimp Throne.
That shit was hilarious. Not much happened in this chapter, but characterization is always appreciated.
Also, anyone else finding Ulqiorra a little more interesting as of these past two chapters? I'd always just seen him as Aizen's boring creepy-eyed enforcer doll before, but since he's been getting more lines... -
I still see Uliquiorra as a waste of pencil and ink.
