@Coral: At least 45 minutes three times a week. If you want to do more than 45 minutes a day make sure you take a ten minute break every 45 minutes though as you will "plateau".

Also make sure you are eating more vegetables, fruit and upping your fiber intake. But remember each person is different, so what would work for one person won't work for another.

@ Captain Usopp: lol thanks hun. Hopefully some one will hire me soon. But sadly I don't want to go back to things that I really qualify for (retail management.) So I will have to start back at entry level pay! Which would suck! I don't want to go from making what I was making back down to minium wage. But if I have to, I have to.

ooh i was refering to moon. i didn't see your having a tough time too. sorry. I totally understand. the nice thing for me, is that min wage has gone up a few times in the past few years so even if I have to start back at the biggining I know I'll be ok.

lol oh. I get ya now. XD But yeah IL min wage is like 8 an hour now, so it won't be too bad. Still about about five dollars less than I was making but better than like 6 an hour or less!

it will be a while. i'm going from a quaint size room to an itsy bitsy room for a month. but after that i get the master bedroom. I'll have room for craft type stuff. oh boy oh boy. thinking I should get a cheep little desk to work on stuff. right now I do everything at this PC desk, and there is a big mess all around my monitor, on top of my printer, ontop of the tower…

I've been meaning to do a megaman cosplay. maybe I can start on that when I get the big room.

oh ya, and been thinking of a few phoenix wright cosplays. I wanna do maggie byrde. I like her personality, and i think I got a similar hair style. I'm kinda thinking of doing her police uniform. more comfy in pants. more warm, and i think it would be easier for me to do seeing as I don't have a lot of sewing skills. She also has a maid outfit, but I'd probably have to sew it. I don't think I could do that. what do you guys think.

Lol both versions of Maggie are totally cute. I know someone who has cosplaye.d both, but she is a competent sewer so… I guess it's whatever you feel most comfortable doing/like the most. Waitress~Maggie might be harder to do. @Coral: When I lost 20+ pounds over a summer, I worked up to doing like 2 hours of DDR almost every day, this pilates thing on DVD (20 mins day/3 times a week), went to Curves, and cutting out soda almost completely as well as most junkfood, and cutting down food intake significantly (like eating a meal/protein bar for a meal). They say the key to losing weight is in the nutrition, not the excerise (though thats important for keeping the weight off, but not taking it off). I read an article the other day how just being active (like walking and mowing the lawn and doing household chores and staying active at home) does more good then killing yourself at the gym, because a lot of people do those super heavy workouts then go eat something with twice the calories they just burned :P I'm about 20 pounds heavier then I was when I lost weight that time and it's so much harder @_@ My ankles can't handle much DDR so I'm trying to do the gym more/walking, but I haven't been cutting out as much food/soda/junk as I should TToTT I don't think my pants are gonna fit in time... must do pilates again too @_@ Stupid food!!! Just cutting down your portions and soda does make a lot of difference in a decent amount of time. @omni: Most of my group seems to want to go to ACen, and I might do that instead of going to AX all by myself... as I've never flown before and going to a very far off con by myself is kind of meh XD Unless I can get more people that I know to go with me (someone needs to fly with me ;_;)

Yeah, I've read tons and tons and tons of magazines about fitness. I've bought tons and tons of them, have several dvd's, 2 ddr pads and about 5 ddr games xD It's sad how much I have and STILL don't exercise.

And..is it wrong it makes me giggle when someone means to refer to my sis and they refer to me? I'm like 'They must mean my sis, I have a job' xDDDD Well I think a job depends on how happy you are at it. Because honestly, I worked a loan company job before I started working at a grocery store. I left McDonalds after 6 and a half years starting at 5.35 and hour and ending at 7.05. I started at the loan company making 7 bucks an hour which was a SLAP IN THE FACE since most people should start at 8 or more dollars and hour, but because I had NO experience, I started as LOW AS YOU CAN and if that wasn't the lowest, it would of been lower even though someone younger than me could start the same position and make more, anyways. The loan company job was the worst job I've ever had, even over McDonalds. I've never been through soo much stress, I'd NEVER RECOMMEND IT TO MY WORST ENEMY O_O Lets see I worked there less than a year and a half and was making 9.50 and hour. I left that job and went to a grocery store working overnights making 6.55 and hour. THAT WAS A HUGE HUGE HUGE drop in pay for me from making 600+ on my paychecks to barely 400. But you know what? I'm HAPPY. I don't give a rats ass what I'm making, I couldn't be happier, now I can work at this job until I save up enough money to move out in a couple of years. I'm soo thankful for that, I lucked out, I SOOO LUCKED OUT. Every single person I know has a better paying job than me, but I don't find them being happy at their jobs at all, infact they seem down right miserable and that really sucks x_x;;

In short, that was a completely unrelated rant in a cosplay thread xD Gahhh I wish I had something to post x_x;; Tomorrow, tomorrow will be the day!!

So this is how lame I am. I was driving down the road today behind a red car. I noticed what kind it was and totally thought it said pacifista and got all freakin excited. Only to realize 2 seconds later that it only said Pacifica.

Anyway, that's my lame ass story.

As for the hat, I'm about 89% certain there's a few tutorials on devart about how to make mini hats. I know there's one for top hats. I'd get the links for you but i'm on my iPod and can't copy and paste LOL but Ill gladly get them for you later tonight.

i think a top hat is simple enough lol but that hat is a bit more complex. and remember i know next to nothing about sewing. hey, i should look at some dollar stores in the toys.

Wow that's a great deal Omni!! The wigs I'm planning to get are 30 bucks a piece for 2 of them, and one is around 20 xD And I have NO IDEA how much Apoo's wig is gonna cost to assemble x_x; I may need Charli's help, but I dunno if I'll be able to see her between now and then x_x;

I opened one wig. It had been opened before. I could tell by the fact that the box was taped back together. This wig is so tangled up! It is going to take me forever to untangle it.

Arei, the epoxy is actually in a white tube and it's called 'Locktite' I think. You can get it in the Wal-Mart hardware section where the adhesives are.

Even though I am sick YET AGAIN with a fever, I pumped myself full of meds and I'm doing the last bit of sewing for Afest. That is, handsewing the fur onto Youshi's top. =D

This and the other one might be combined to make a Sailor moon wig depending on how the look after I detangle them. If they lose too much hair (I have had to cut so much knots out…) then they are just going to be used for practice in dying and styling wigs.

The closest con my sis and I are planning to go to is Fanime in May..soo.. I am jealous that that's the closest one ;_; Though since my sis and I have soo MUCH SHIT planned for next year, it's a good thing since it's going to take a while to buy everything and make everything x_x;

.. and since they moved Yulecon a few weeks earlier, there's only a 2 month span inbetween AFest and Yulecon… funtimes.

I'm doing a Katamari cosplay for next year and I would like to finish that before New years, (though I've got 3 things to do for Yulecon DX balls!) because when classes start in January, I don't know how much time I will have (or much room, if I move into a room for classes quickly after starting).

ooh cheep test wigs. that's a great idea omni. I have no one here to show me how to do anything with wigs. if I had some cheep wigs, maybe I could play around with them and learn something. don't wanna spend $30+ on a wig and then ruin it from being a noob.

@ Captain: Yeah I know a little about wig styling. But not enough to just buy a wig at regular price and hack at it. Which is why I am so glad I found these two for so cheap!

Fffffuuuuu!! This wig is the devil! I was working on detangling a section of hair and was on the last little knot when that whole section of hair just falls out of the wig. :S

I wish I were more like you guys ==;; I buy the expensive wigs and HAVE to experiment on them to get them to look right as I possibly can, I can't afford to just buy this or that wig and mess around with it ;; I mean, I want to, I've already bought TWO Bellamy wigs for christs sake ==; And if I buy another wig for Sanji that'll make the 2nd one == I wish I could just find the most PERFECT Sanji wig, even if it's like white, I'd totally sharpie/copic marker dye it if I needed to. I just want it to be in the PERFECT shape so it needs NO CUTTING and for the hair to be parted down the exact side throughout the entire wig. Is that too much to ask?? xD

Yeah we don't have any arcades in the area I live in. Apparently there used to be a small arcade a long time ago. But that was before I moved out here. But this is probably why I am not a big video game fan. I didn't play them growing up, my enterainment was riding horses or going out mudding.

Our entertainment here was bowling, and playing out in the ditch across the street. That was it. xD The mall in our town is one of the shittiest malls I've EVER seen, it has an arcade if you want to call it that. I haven't stepped foot in there in about 3-4 years since they took out DDR, and I really don't visit the mall ever since several people work there I don't associate with anymore. Man..you just reminded me another reason I want to move soo badly.. so I'll have more things to do than just go to Walmart =_=;; Not to mention all the fabric stores that are in big towns XD AHHH Must save my monies if I can stop buying god damn One Piece figures x_x;; and.. cosplay shit.. xD

There is a Gameworks here not far from my house, which is pretty extensive arcade, but they're slowly ruining it. We don't go anymore because some JACKASS ran his mouth off about how in Vegas there are (actually, there WERE) tournaments for the World Derby horse racing game and how cards would sell for $20K (yeah fucking right). However no such tournaments have existed for years, so they took the game off of the unlimited play cards, and this was the game we spent most of the time playing. They also took out the twister pinball machine (though it was breaking a lot) ;_;, and another game we played kept breaking and they never would fix it.

But if you're into the shooters and racing and DDR (they do have good DDR machines, but all of us have it at home :P) and old school arcades, they has em.

Bowling and a mall is more then where I've been =_= They could have things like a movie theater and bowling alleys and a freakin Y (which has offered to come in multiple times) but the city shoots it down because they're stupid redneck douchebags who only care about their own money, and dont realize by building these things they'll get way more money.

They'll get more money from a 4 screen movie theater then they're ever going to get from that ridiculous 10 million dollar horse arena they are going to build. I mean what the HELL. It makes me rage, I'm glad I didn't go to school here (I'll be going a bit farther out for college, but I'm staying with my grandparents out in BFE until then), because all teenagers and young adults have to do is have keg parties and get high. Apparently this little BFE county used to have the highest death rate of teens where alcohol was involved in ALL OF TEXAS, and theres not THAT many people here. That alone should convince them to give the older kids something to do.

I'll be going to school about half an hour away from my grandparents house (which, they live an hour east of Dallas). Though I don't start till January, so I'll keep going between here and my mom's house I guess until then or until I find a job >_>

Even though this has NOTHING to do with cosplay, I got a book today I'm hoping I will be able to use to transform this flubber infested body into a slimmer, more toned and better looking body. I'm just PRAYING I can stick to this, it looks pretty good, I mean.. a LOT of the moves in here I've already done before when I had personal trainers, so it's not like it's something I don't already KNOW, just a refresher since it's been YEARS since I had a personal trainer x_x; Anyways, I'll have to take before and after pics since I don't think anyone on here will see me until Fanime, and the TX peeps might not see me again until Afest next year, and that's if they go, and that's if I go xD

lol yep I try telling myself that I might want to look back at these pictures when I am skinny again and be all like hell yeah look what I did! But I just can't do it! My body is so gross to me to look at now that I just want to get skinny again and then forget I was ever this big!

And hells yeah for weighing less than you did this time last year! I wish I could say the same thing…but I actually weigh more than I did this time last year. :(

But I'm going back down!! Some of my pants fit again!! (as this summer started, the only things I could wear were my basketball shorts). I'm making progress so hopefully America's pants will fit a LITTLE better XD Oh well I ran out of time for this con but I'll be throwing away my current outfit for him (minus the jacket, that stays XD) because it doesn't look good at all >_< I need something that looks more like a real dress uniform then a work BDU.

Hopefully America will be all skinny and win for next year XD

Though my weight has stayed close to the same I have toned up and slimmed up a bit, almost to the point with the binder, compression shirt, and shapewear I think I'd be almost acceptable to do Iceburg now.

So I MIGHT wear him to AFest, but I will do the black shirt version without tats ;_; I don't have anyone to paint them on and, as busy as this con is, people probably wouldn't want to DX Blah, but I think this will look better until I lose just a bit more. The other version will make it to All-Con/ACEN/A-Kon/Otakon whenever I find someone to paint me XD

I might have to do something tomorrow which will kill another day of sewing (I should be cutting out fabric right now, bad Arei XP) and just in case Ponyo's dress doesn't work ( I refuse to cram the day/night before the con this time @_@) I need something I can wear that doesn't require anything special/is way too hot (like America will be @_@ I've got to wear that all day Saturday... fun times! XD)

Yay for you coming to ACen. I am sure there we can find time and someone to paint you! Although ACen we do have the two One Piece gatherings. The friday night we have Luffy's birthday party and then Saturday is the photoshoot! Yay I can't wait for ACen now!
