You can also take a gamble on the new hotel thats gonna be finished by the end of this year, perhaps early spring. Gonna research the name but its pretty much at the Staples Center.

Awww Thanks guys xD I'm excited to actually cosplay Nami down the road and actually be more convincing when I loose more weight, but sadly I am more compelled to cosplay such characters as Sentomaru and Scratchman Apoo XD I love you Nami, but there are FAR more feminine and beautiful girls out there who make a MUCH better Nami by a LAND SLIDE than i do xDD I'm just glad my and my sis's My Little Pony's turned out pretty good! And.. we dont' have tails cause this was sooooo last minute we just did NOT have time x_x;

Meh I already want to plan for next AX now DX I too was thinking of staying at the Westin, it seems to have the all-around seal of approval. The Holiday Inn looked nice because it was so close but it seems to be way too small to hold as many people as we need to not be paying out the roof @_@

Comic Con cosplay update:
Crimson Avenger: everything done but trenchcoat. Got a makeshift pattern that's basically a fusion of two patterns that should work.
Saobody Usopp: materials got'd, just need work. Shirt needs dye, shorts need dye and floral painting, hat needs fabric marker, and I can't find my Usopp armband, so I have to remake that.
Douchebag Luffy: gotta ribbon my hat, add fur to pants, and make me some bling. I wanted to find a doll-sized strawhat for my red plastic cup, but Michaels didnt' have any that size. I guess one of those tiny umbrellas will suffice. -
Man..I really feel like putting my Spandam cosplay on..soo..badly..and making it look good..and getting his pimp coat made by my sis cause i suck and can't make shit. stares at sis while she's sleeping make me a coat pleeeeease ___

I think if you look for mini straw hats you would have to look in the doll making section, I thought Michael's had a small one, but maybe its hobby lobby.

Costume update:
Got fabric for Sabaody Robin pants/top. Need some kind of pattern fusion for the top because I have nothing suitable. Pants-making should be easy, I've made enough of them lately. I have NO idea where I can get a gold hoop belt :/ My other SDCC outfit will use the same purple pants and I got a couple t-shirts to sew together for the top.Working on anything has been hard because my mom's in town at the moment. I have pretty much one week to make two tops and a pair of pants and find all the accessories. uh….. why do I do this to myself?

Kid cosplay is 97 % done for Otakon. Have to put the blue straps on the belt and safety pin the final tri-spike pad to the jacket and she's ship-shape :D. But here's an update on my hair. I just got done putting the dye in and washing it out. Plus didn't have time to shave and since my hair length is appropriate I'd do a saucy Shanks picture.

Normal pieces–Strawhat, red vest with 3 buttons, and straw flipflops (need to add 3rd piece of leather
Douchey pieces--pink dress shirt with rolled up sleeves and popped collar; horizontally striped of black, blue, purple, light blue, white polo on top with popped collar (so that's 2 shirts and a vest), slim jeans with fur trim at the bottom, and need to make a gold Beli emblem as a pendant for my bling. Oh yeah, and mirror aviator shades.If you can think of anything else for me to douche it up with, let me know (as long as it's in budget; most of these clothes I already owned; DON'T JUDGE ME).

I'd suggest those rings with the HUGE fake stones on them (that are usually plastic or what not).
Oh man in the JC Penny outlet a few years back there was this girl's dress up like a hooker (I shit you not, halter top, short short skirt, high heels, picture with the little girl covered in all this fake jewelry and caked with make-up DX) set that was full of that obnoxious bling that would scream epic douche on a guy.
I'd go to the dollar store, they usually have really obnoxious looking fake jewelry like that.

Haha, Ichnob make sure to have the jeans half way down your arse. Try clip on/magnetic earrings too. :P. Oh and of course a really bulky, tacky gold watch for that classy finish ;). You can get them dirt cheap.

It's not that noticable, but I think they have someone in the art dept that's supposed to really study these things to make sure that this doesn't happen. Either they weren't there that day or this it isn't that noticable.

I don't need to do anymore midnights X_X I went 2 nights in a row going to sleep at 5 am I was so scatterbrained I locked my keys in the car, waited over an hour in the heat for the guy to come, take 2 seconds to unlock the car and charge me $75 to do it =_= Then it was rush hour and I ended up not going to where I was originally going and coming home because it was all evil.
So yeah the movie was awesome but being that tired is not good ever XDD

Night jobs: how about graphic design? I'm working 11am-8pm these days, and before that it was 3pm-11pm. A buddy of mine just turned down a graveyard shift at some place that was midnight-11am. The work's not always exciting though.
Good news for my Robin cosplay is I got a decent belt, a Mardi Gras necklace belly chain (classy!) and some nice shoes on sale. Bad news: I cut out the pants and the purple fabric I got for the pants/top may not be enough for everything, plus it has an unnatural shine in the sun cause it's stretchy. :/

Bah…wrong fabric paint. Accidentally got the opaque one. Looks like I'll need to stop by Joannes on Friday. In the meantime, I'll use the opaque paint to at least mark where the flowers will be.
