this would be great if it came to the US. that way, if they wanted too, they could just use text and no voice acting to save space, but they would still translate the game for us, thus saving money(?).

Save a lot of money considering the game has already been translated for when it was released in the UK.

Ok, so what's the deal with getting the vacuum upgrade map from Pacifista?
I've defeated at least 20-25 of them while finishing in break rush, and haven't recieved a map piece once :/
Is it essential to possess at least one map piece before you can dig up the treasure?

Sadly it is.
My latest playthrough came to a halt, because after I had collected over 100 Mysterious parts I still hadn't found a single map piece.
On the one before that I already had the complete map before I even got to that part.

It'd be awesome if they came out with a 3D console game that traced the series from beginning to the end of the 1st half.

if i remember correctly you can also steal the map piece with the upgraded bug catching net , just swing it at him once or twice and it should work.
although i am not 100% positive of that and you might actually just end up with more mysterious parts anyway…..another thing to try is nami's whirlwind attack...
just using break rush because faqs on the internet tell you to is not the best thing to do anyway.... i almost never use break rush and i got all the map pieces with exception of 1 missing part from gaimon... but that ass just keeps giving me coins instead of that last map piece...
also , this is a general question for my own playthrough , i am like almost done with unlimited mode , but before i redo normal mode with maxed out characters i still need to beat garp and the final bos , for that i want to make a load of the green recuperating candy , but EVERYTIME i set up a trap and or traps on island 3 to catch the purple butterfly... the ONLY thing i keep getting is frogs ,frogs, frogs, frogs, frogs , frogs , frogs and frogs....
i can't even get a white butterfly anymore, let alone a purple one...
what's going on here.... i used to get like 4 or 5 creatures in my trap which usually were like maybe 2 frogs , 1 or 2 purple butterfliess and or a white one...and getting those butterflies with the net is impossible.... they fly away long before you can even get near them...

Was kindof a knee-jerk reaction - I'm sure it'll be a fairly straight port - What I'm wondering is about the control scheme, since the Wii-remote/Nunchuck worked flawlessly for all my One Piece-ing on Unlimited Cruise (fishing, bug catching and zomg numbers of vs matches).
Hmmm - As a silly question for someone who doesn't have a DS yet, are they region free as of now, or would I have to do some extra things to it to make the region-locking go away?
Only saying this since Gigant Battle will definitely be one of my first games when I eventually do get a DS of some sort.

Yup - it took me several hours of farming to get one piece of it (lol), and about 6 hours of farming to eventually finish it and get PX1 in VS mode.
A good tip is to use Nami's Whirlwind shake attack from Ep1 on a PX1 when you find it on island 4, then run away until it despawns - then turn around and do it again - much faster than trying to break rush a PX1, since they have huge amounts of health.

You right about the Map pieces -
BOTH Nami's whirlwind and using the bug catching net are faster ways of getting items from enemies. There's as much of a chance of getting map pieces by break rushing (forcing an enemy to drop an item…god I remember doing a break shot on enemies in Unlimited Adventure...the timing of it was really hard..) than there is at nami-ing or bug-netting. Despawning enemies a few seconds after they've popped up is always funny too.
=================
About the traps, they are totally random - are you using Advanced traps or just the normal ones?
Also, catching bugs on trees is easiest with Franky or Brook, and on flowers with Robin, try and make sure there aren't any enemies around, and don't walk through grass or flowers - use Robin/Chopper's single A attack to clear them, as it has smaller range - some flowers can be hard to access without clearing some foliage first. Also try and watch the shadows of your character as well to judge the distance.

The DS is region free. however, DSi games are not region free. why would nintendo do this? which makes most people wonder if they are testing out region coding for the 3DS or something.
i hope the 3ds is not region locked. if it is, i am going to be mad, along with a bunch of other people too

God I Cannot Beat Unlimited Mode Whitebeard Uggggggggggggh
i thought so aswel, but having atleast 25 of each of the 3 candy items
plus a bunch of revival candy (either the green or the red one) and random small health bottles… did the trickthat and using franky's heavy nun-chucks over and over and over and over
and refilling his health after getting away from whitebeard...i got him down to around 1/3 of his health by just using franky
and i had almost everyone at 3000/1000 health status when i did so..afterwards using luffy gear 2nd and just keep appearing infront of WB while spamming A and AA etc, does nice damage...
but zoro's 3000 world's attack might be even better vs. whitebeardbut one of the best thing's to do to not get killed is either jump or duck and roll , whenever WB starts using his special....
you can't avoid it everytime however, as sometimes he get's you offguard or your stupid wiimote just responds to late... -

A 3DS port? Well I have to get it, I mean I have the Japanese & English ver. Cruise 1 + 2 and The American ver. of Adventure.
-
While I expect Unlimited Cruise SP to be a straight port of the two games combined into one, I would be tickled pink if they added more characters. likely additions would be akainu, hancock, jimbei, magellan, and ivankov.
however, if they were planning to spice things up a bit, I feel like they would have said something about it in the trailer.

I just nearly got a freaking heart attack thinking I had beaten the boss storm in hard mode (UC2).
Then I remembered that there is more freaking shit after you beat Gear 2nd Luffy. Way more shit. It has been over a year since I last dared to go near that boss storm, so at first I really believed I would have made it, I was so sure and happy and … and then it all came back to me.Did anyone ever actually beat that?! It's insane!
-
I just beat whitebeard and Bossrush on unlimited mode. whew. Now for Garp

Ah, boss rush, that's what it's called.
Congrats! Garp is a piece of cake after Whitebeard. I swear, Whitebeard is a beast. Not nearly as bad as Nightmare Luffy was, but still the worst thing to ever happen in UC2.
-

whew Im glad to know itll be slightly easier. Yeah to be completely honest i never beat nightmare luffy. I got him through the secret treasure chest.

Yeah, Garp certainly isn't that easy to deal with, but compared to Whitebeard he's nothing. XD
I never even found Nightmare Luffy until I played in Unlimited Mode. I didn't really bother to look for him though … I just wanted to continue playing and didn't even mind not finding the last secret boss XD
So I only ever met him in one mode and beat him one single time (in the hardest mode, obviously). I was so frustrated because I never even got close to defeating that bastard.
At the time I was packed with revival medicine (like 6 or 7) and shit, but it was still a very, very close one. I'll never forget the moment he went down, I was literally one punch away from getting Game Over again.
It was sooooo satisfying and relieving. I can't remember ever being this shaken because of a video game.
But I will never, ever go near that guy again. XD -
Heh, I only fought Nightmare Luffy on hard mode and even then I had so much trouble beating him.
In the end I just stocked up on potions and absolutly spammed Chopper's rumble ball techinque to beat him.
I never got around to beating Whitebeard or Garp in the second game I should do that….sometime later I guess :D -
After I haven't played UC2 for a while I picked it up again so i can finally beat the Unlimited Mode.
So I have played all the way up to Island 4 but then remebered that I have to collect these Maps from the Mini-Bosses in order to get the Boss-Rush.
I have collected 2 parts of the map now, and the last Mini-Boss I beat was Calgara.I'm wondering if there'll be still enough mini-boss to beat, so I can finish the map without having to start the unlimited mode again from the beginning…
So here's my question: Are there actually more of these Mini-Bosses on the way to the secret bosses or do I have to start the game on unlimited mode from the beginning so I can get the missing map-parts?
-
i am almost positive you can play boss rush aslong as you have atleast 1 map piece and know where the monument is.
-

Correct.
Plus some of the red mud puppets respawn and there are a ton on the castle on the 4th island, so no need to start over. -
Thanks alot you two =D
Good to know the respawning red puppets can drop map-pieces as well. I beat some of them today but none of them dropped any. But now I know I can keep trying ^^ -
So ive finally 100% the UC2 on unlimited mode. Took me forever but it's done. Whew.

And don't bother defeating them, just hit them once or twice with the net (!). I got the map pieces reeeeally fast that way.
Nami's stealing option's an alternative too, but like I said, the net thing worked like a charm for me.So ive finally 100% the UC2 on unlimited mode. Took me forever but it's done. Whew.
Oh no you didn't!
You!! How the bloody hell did you beat the second boss rush? It ain't possible, I tell you!!
(read: Congratulations, I'm awfully jealous and impressed.) -

good going Nintendo. I will be hacking my 3DS, since there's about a 95% the US will not get anymore One Piece games

Hey there, I was wondering if someone could help me out, I'm kinda at a loss at where I am in the first game.
I'm about to get the Spandam/Aokiji bosses, I made the icicles fall (Island 3) but there is still one of those poison walls in the way which I haven't been able to do anything about since I first encountered them.
So how do I get past them, if I need to upgrade my hoover how do I do so? I tried googling and it said to unlock the 8th treasure, but I have no idea what the '8th treasure' is to be perfectly honest.
Thanks (:

Any tips on how to beat Whitebeard in Unlimited Mode?
I couldn't even take half of his life although I was using both Nightmare Luffy and Monster Chopper (I didn't use any potions though) -
Where is treasure 8?
Answer:
@yamatadragon:Very convienent treasure maps here.
I can't remember what enemy you need to beat to get the pieces for it. You only need to find 1 piece to dig up the treasure though. So keep killing different enemies if you don't have one yet ^_^

Well the Gameboy games were done for an English Speaking market. This should be straightforward cus like Unlimited Cruise, Funi doesn't have to dub it.

New in this thread, I'm sure this has been asked
Where is Old rice? Does it only appear in chests?
I've completed the game (japanese version), even in Unlimited. And to be able ti survive Boss Rush, I have to increase My HP and SP a lot, so i must to cook a lot, so I really need Old rice -
I don't care if all they do is change the text to English. I just want them to bring the game over.

I never did that … I finished that task more than a year ago, so I might remember this wrong, but weren't the Seaking dishes the best way to increase HP/SP? I remember fishing those bastards all day long and finishing maxing HP/SP fairly quickly with that.
/EDIT: Ah, wait, I never had to boost the SP levels in UC2 because they didn't get a rise in comparison to UC1.
Is that what you need the Old Rice for, to cook meals that increase SP? -

It's a long-shot, but Namco Bandai is asking for requests of games to be localized…maybe us OP fans could put in a good word for Unlimited Cruise SP on 3DS? It's our best shot of getting the games at all.

Unfortunately not. The synch is Japanese and the text German, no way to change either.

What are the 100 things that Usopp has to do increase one of his abilities (don't know the name, I have the Japanese version, maybe Crafting or Resolve or sth like that)? It's the only thing I need to complete the game 100% after finishing Boss Rush, apart of increasing all attacks to 30

Well, ensuring all specials get to level 30 will help. Have you got all the treasures? Made all the different dials (flame/thunder etc)?
Made Franky's nunchuck for specials? Fished for stingray which gives Franky his Mortal shell attack?
Brook's Violin string?
Other than all the normal stuff of making all the upgrades (Axe, fishing rod, bug net, vacuum), Usopp doesn't normally need to make much.
If it's the stickman burning (Resolve) that gets to lvl 5 when you max his specials.
-

I'm pretty sure you have to use one of those (if not both) 100 times for a certain ability.
But it's been a long time since I trained him. -
Woot!!! High five I have a job now!! Also, for anyone interested, 3DS Unlimited Cruise has Ivankov and Boa Hancock as new bosses!!!!!

I have done x100 of everything. I have created tons of bombs, sleeping boombs, poison bombs to beat Garp and Withebeard, yesterday I did another 160 (80+80) fire and then electic dials. Maybe 100 pachinko (the cord that moves you just near the ship, wherever you are? The worst thing is that there are two requirements, and I haven't done none of them
Level 4 (image of sbd thiking in bombs)
- Create 100 <random japanese="" letters="">- Create 100 <other random="" japanese="" letters="">With no Clear! in none of them</other></random>

i believe you need to use the gun powder, can't remember what is the other one (a powder too, i guess)it makes the use of objects more effective with usopp

hey guys just got these games a few weeks ago. im 48 hours in and i'm loving it. however fishing gets on my nerves. I cannot for the life of me catch the damn super large seaking. i can catch large and turtle seakings. but the super always escapes from me. i can't handle it tugging for a 4th time in a row.
i have a fully upgraded rod, completely to the last upgrade.
so are there any tips on catching this seaking
and whats the fastest way to raise sp?
still playing unlimited cruise episode 1
