Hi all. I've been away from the forums for a while, but been reading this thread quite a bit. I buckled and got the Asian version from play asia via download psn cards on the hong kong psn. Loving the game so far.
Just a question for those of you who picked up the digital copy. The special bonus for downloading the game before April 30th, is it the carp costume for luffy and early access to Sabo? If so, and it mentions getting a special code, I haven't actually gotten one yet. Was it emailed to the email address connected with your psn account?
Just wondering if it's already been downloaded along with all the other dlc packs I've got, and haven't gotten too far into legend log to get a chance to use the costumes. Might also be the reason I haven't been able to change any characters costumes yet. Is that held until later in the game or only in free log mode?

Hmm mm. I will surely be getting this game anyway since it's one piece, but after putting in many hours in Grand battle 3, Grand battle Rush, and Grand Adventure, this seems like the character models from those games but in a 2d format like he gigantic battle games. I kinds wish it was a full roaming 3d brawler like the days of old, with chests and stage hazards etc. Sigh… looks like another few years to wait for a game like that... Focusing on this game though but itself it looks pretty good. More Dress Rosa colosseum is definitely a good thing but dang it why can't it be in 3d?

Preordered the PS3 version since I do want a retail copy (no interest in 3DS or Vita version). I might buy the Wii U version if runs better than the PS3 version.

EDIT: Also from the looks of it. The Preorder bonus for the US is the Straw Hat edition that Europe receives. I hope we get the rest of the dlc too!

I agree. Very Tom Nook-ish. Also really is the re-incarnation of Gaburi if ever there was one. I'm still pumped about the game. Should be alot of fun on release…

I haven't been around AP forums too much, but I'm back with a vengeance.

To commemorate, I give you the following:

I haven't messed with the bgm stuff yet but I'm really enjoying the game. I can see the reason why some don't like the game. The fluidity between dashing from long distance then to the timing of strikes and special attacks, dancing around blocking and dodging. They do feel quite separate. However even though there provably won't be long combo strings for most characters, each feel fairly balanced and you do need to be careful to time attacks properly and dodge / block often. Took a while to get the hang of the controls but I really enjoy it.

Finally got the game. Going to playing a heap of it and uploading some choice matches and such when I can.

I'd be happy to play with others here from AP forums.
