I preordered my copy back in February, and got a call from Barnes and Noble earlier this week reminding me to pick it up next Saturday. Though I don't know if this one will be one of my favorites, I can't deny how pumped I am about getting it next week.

Me Too cant wait to get maybe there will be fight matchups because we Know harry is goning to battle Voldemort but maybe Nevil battles Beletrix to advenge his parents.After all its up to him to kill Voldemort if harry fails.

Why bother preordering? Walk into Sam's Club the next morning and you'll find crates of the books. Tis theory has proved to be true the last 2 times a new book was released.
Anyone else going by a barnes and noble and shouting some spoiler phrase to see if it's true? I'm gonna yell "Harry Potter Dies" whether or not he actually does, just because I want to hear the reactions.

I'm looking forward to this book because hopefully it will have what I like about the series (the plot), and less Hogwarts schooltime faggery. Which is one of the reasons why I'm not such a huge fan, there's lots of huge, interesting developments, but you have to wade through ten chapters of boring fanservice to get to it.
Also, if Harry doesn't die, I'll eat the book.

No no no, I was talking about that one guy who gave away that spoiler to Half-Blood Prince. I don't know if you saw that video, but this guy was driving around a Barnes and Noble at midnight, and yelling "Snape kills Dumbledore!" the people outside waiting in line to pick it up.

Never read any of the books really except a bit of 1. Saw the first 3 movies. (Own the first on VHS…or did, dunno if I still have it, and the second on DVD.)
I own 2 versions of book 1 (the main one, and then a smaller one with a plain cover) and also book 2 (also a smaller one with a plain cover). But I hear this is gonna be the end, and that someone (Harry everyone is saying) is gonna die.
Meh, I'm not that interested in Harry Potter.

My dad and I always have a race to see who finishes the book first. The night we get our copies we read and read until we're done. He beat me with Book 6 confound him XD.
I actually feel that I'm going to be closing one of the last parts of my childhood once I finish Book 7. I mean, I was ten when it all started. Now I'm 18 going on 19 in a few short months. It just feels…odd. Not depressing or saddening but odd. Growing up sucks ass man XD.

My mom is werid when a new book comes out She does not want to know the ending to Harry Potter because she wants to wait for the movies but she always ask me what happen and when I tell hear she close here ears.

1. for school i gotta read like 15 books over the summer
2. it comes out IN the summer
I really don't appreciate novels for what they are I guess. I'm good at reading, but can't say I ever enjoyed it. -

I remember finding out about this series when I was 12. My brother told me about it, and I thought it would be shit. But then, he talked me into reading The Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone, and I've been addicted ever since. This was around the time Prisoner of Azkaban came out.

! I have to say the trio ridiing a dragon in the deluxe edition is the one of the most bad ass things I've seen this year, mainly because to my recollection wasn't it mentioned that dragons are untrainable. Hmm, on closer look maybe that's Norbert.

I'm looking very much forward to this coming out. However, as everyone should know (and I'm not sure if this is spoiler or not) I find myself not so much looking forward to the story itself but more so to who will survive. Anyone else feel that way?

This may not be the last book Jk rowling was talking on some show in new york city and said she is thinking about doing a 8th book.and the publishing company paid her a Million dollars to make two more books.

Can't remember the source, but I heard rumors if she does write an eighth book it wouldn't be a book that continues the Harry Potter saga. Instead it would be some sort of Harry Potter Encyclopedia that would fill some missing data that wasn't essential to the story such as minor things you didn't know about the characters and so forth.

I wouldn't really see an "Encyclopedia" as really being an 8th book. I figure thats pretty much inevitable. What would be at least reasonable if she has to write another series would be another series in the same universe but with diff characters.

Okey, I don't wanna be a jerk or anything and usually I have been able to restrain myself when it comes stuff like this but I cannot be quiet about this anymore… could somebody fix the title of the thread? Pretty please? You know, 'Hallows' instead of 'Howllows'. Not only it would be aesthetically way more pleasing but when somebody's going to search this thread he won't be able to find this unless he also manages to misspell the same word in the same way.
