Every time I try to connect to the internet on my Wii it always gives me the error code 51330 and says that it can't connect to the internet. I've tried everything on Nintendo's site, forum, and other forums and can't find out what the problem is. Can someone please help me  ?
Wii Problem

could be the connection or perhaps you need a wep key…dunno...hey, when you select the internet connection you use, do you see if it has a lock on it?
-
Yes, it has a lock and I type in my WEP key and it still doesn't work.
-
what type of router do you have?
-
It's a Motorola SBG-1000 and it's wireless.
-
Where is your Wii located in relation to your wireless router?
-
@Kairouseki:
It's a Motorola SBG-1000 and it's wireless.
Let me check the router list on Nintendo.com because it might be the same problem I have
EDIT:heres the link the the Router page
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/routers/en_na/Motorola/SBG1000/index.jspGuess its not the same problem I have then
-
…well, you should....uh, probably see a doct-....OH, THAT Wii! My bad, carry on. XD

I have a 2 room basement. My Wii is in one room and the router is in the other.
-
hey, kairouseki, how has war changed?

hey, kairouseki, how has war changed?
Yeah, I just took that from one of the Metal Gear Solid 4 trailers. I thought it sounded cool .
-
Have you tried putting in the MAC address of the Wii into your router settings?
-
OK, tried that and it STILL doesn't work  .
-
you might need a Nintendo USB connector probably.
-
That's a Wiil problem you got there. hehe
Have you tried using the Nintenod Wii error code translator on the Nintendo site? Basically, they were too lazy to put in descriptions of the code into the Wii, so they have a database online for you to look them up. You put in the error code and it describes the problem and points you to another part of the site to fix it.
-
I've tried everything that I could find to try and fix this but it still doesn't work.
@KaizokuFan22:you might need a Nintendo USB connector probably.
Yeah, I've read about that but I'm not sure it'll work with me. My computer is a floor above my Wii so I'mm not sure . And I don't want to spend money (especially $40) on something that's not going to work.
-
Did you try setting the router channel to 1 or 11?
-
Yeah, that was one of the first things that I did.
-
the only thing I can think of now is if the firewall on the Router is on.. because It might be causing problems
-
That error code has nothing to do with the Wii's position in your home, and everything to do with your router not allowing access to the Wii.
Firstly, double-check to see if the MAC address you entered was correct.
Secondly, make sure that you test every router channel.
If none of that works, call Nintendo Customer Service and they should be able to help you.
