That borders on impossible. Look at the growth he's had since his first appearance. Usopp is getting stronger as a person, and hardly realizes it. I really doubt Oda would drop a character as he's maturing.
Yeah, totally. The way I've seen this whole ordeal is rather the opposite. Usopp is not weak and he's going to prove it. He may never be like Luffy, Sanji and Zoro, but that's what I like about him. Usopp would be a complete waste of space in terms of character development if he was super strong. He is too awesome of a character for Oda to do away with.
I dont want him to be super strong either, but I want him to get strong enough so that he doesnt leave in a body cast every time he fights somebody.
If Oda would leave the weekest, Nami is the first too leave. And I don't think Usopp is that weak now with all the weapons he got. Hope he will kick all of the CP9s ass all by him self… ;)

I read some where that Oda reallly likes Ussop because he's basicly he's a comic book version of his creator. So I really doubt he would get rid of him.

this whole arc is about letting go.

ussop has to let go of the ship
and luffy has to let go of robin
Changing these last subjects, I do think, the next time we'll see sanji he'll be arrested with Franky and Ussop, then we'll have a mini flashback on how he was beaten up by the next tough guy in the train.
Yeah, Usopp seems like a character Oda absolutely loves, possibly msot out of all the strawhats. And I could see him being a cartoon version of Oda… also, if he left, who'd host Usopp Gallery Pirates?!
Usopp is definitely the Strawhat who's changed the most, in my opinion.
Not too mention Yasopp and Blackbeard's sharpshooter that Usopp has yet to meet ;)
I don't think Robin will leave, too. Not after seeing Luffy say " Thank goodness" after hearing that Robin was lying. He'll save her, and when has Luffy failed us?
i called miss cleo and this is what she told me:
usopp will come back
the crew will save robin
pauley will join
they will get a new ship from the money franky stole
miss cleo would never lie to us so i'm pretty sure this is gonna happen. usopp won't get any stronger but his tactics are getting a lot better. although i didn't really like the fight he had with luffy, i was rooting for him all the way. he'll be like "pop" in dragonquest "dai no daibouken".

I don't think Chopper's going anywhere… there's no real reason for it at this point.
And I say, with confidence, Usopp isn't going anywhere either.
As for Robin... I'm thinking, at this point, they'll get her back.

I was a tad bit annoyed with him standing against Luffy, though. Just because it's comeback time, and there's no room for derailment. You're either planning your victory celebration with Luffy or getting pwned by him.
Well, I think his number one concern is the Galley-La Company. Maybe he doesn't want to give away their prized ships in vain? Luffy said he'll pillage it…
Luffy said he would steal a ship if they didn't give him one. I don't think the concern need go beyond that.
Who is miss Cleo? Anyway, I agree with her prediction… Though I dont want Franky to stay in W7 and live a long happy life, I want him to flee from the gouv togheter with his Family. Franky is too awesome to stay in W7, he should have a role in the later arcs.

Luffy might have let go of the ship but Usopp hasn't. And I don't see why Luffy would have to let go of Robin since the one really wanting to save her the most is Nami. One Piece so far has been in promoting friendship and not letting those friends go away and die.

Well consider this. Yeah, he may have witnessed Luffy be a freaking man and shred two buildings apart like so much paper. But other than that he's just seen Luffy getting his ass kicked or been the one kicking his ass. Both at the shipyard and by CP9. I'm not saying Oda is actually thinking THAT deep but it certainly defines him as someone that DOESN'T know Luffy yet. Note how the rest of the crew, especially Nami who has LITERALLY said as such recently, place their faith in Luffy at all times no matter what the circumstance.

I think it was more of a knee jerk reaction type thing. Since they been together so long, Luffy's probably not used to the fact that Usopp is no longer part of the crew, it's just a force of habit.

That's a good point. I thought he was just cutting Nami off, by saying "there's nothing to consider" "let's sail out", before hearing her out. But yeh, she probably did explain it.
Ah, there's a panel after Nami said "I have a lot to tell you.." It's the picture of the wind blowing, so I guess she did explain it. But Luffy said "Sanji and U…" before Nami said her line, so Luffy doesn't know yet, at that point, that Usopp's in the train.
But we still don't know whether Luffy knows that Usopp's in the train or not (it's all up to Nami), or whether he cares or not (I hope he does ;_;)
I wonder what Zoro thinks about Robin now, cause he seems as indifferent as ever.
