You just owned yourself. It says "World's top-class skills". The only mention of a sword is that he carries one. "When he was a rival of Mihawk" just simply refers to the days back as Roger's apprentice. They fought, yes, and probably with swords, but it doesn't specify Shanks' skills. It's possible they could have fought with more than swords. Just because Mihawk is a swordsman NOW doesn't mean he WAS.

I'm not trying to bust your balls here. But you can't judge a person's fighting ability on one move, nor on how he fought in the past. Ace got his powers within the last two years. I wonder why shanks doesnt have a nice sword.. It kinda just looks like a normal sword.. But who knows.

And I wonder if its possible that he has a Devil Fruit.. For some reason with the recent showing of BB with a Devil Fruit made me think that mabye one of the Yonkou has one too..

Eh, I disagree here. Think about what kind of person Shanks is and read ch.1. Higuma shows him his bounty, boasting proudly, and Shanks ignores it. I don't think the scenario would change either if his bounty was 80,000,000.

The point is, Shanks is a humble man. He didn't look at the poster and say "ZOMG! H-his bounty is–-". This is further implemented in the Jaya arc, where Bellamy is told his bounty is a joke for someone of his skill. I don't think Shanks' bounty will be 900 quadrillian (Patiently waiting for Polygon to show up).

He use his hook and sand. Altough he uses his DF-powers clearly more, I have seen him killing people with his hook. He uses two styles.

I think aura/ki/spirit is going to play a massive part in the rest of the series. I think if your ki is weak and you are faced against an opponent with a high ki you fall un-conscious like we saw on whitebeards ship.

Now the best explanation for whitebeard and the other guys not falling over is because their ki is at a high enough level to resist it. So if that is true it would mean even Mihawk would have a high ki since he is supposedly stronger than shanks. Which means Mihawk could tolerate the ki emminating from shanks and concentrate on the fight.

The burden of proof is ON you to prove that Shanks has OTHER styles. The Manga and Oda has shown and stated he is a swordsman. That is fact. Shanks is the FIRST to ATTACK Whitebeard and he drew his ONLY weapon, his sword.

Also Crcodile is a DIFFERENT case from Shanks….

Excuse me…...Crocodile, Ace and Blackbeard have nothing to do with Shanks abilities! It was stated that Shanks is a swordsman and he rivaled Hawkeye's and STILL to this day out of all 440 chapters it holds truth. Zoro (another swordsman) has demonstrated Ki/aura as well as Shanks. He has displayed it in the Alabasta Arc and just Recently against Kaku.

It…tells me he is the greatest swordsman...? As opposed to...? That doesn't mean he has an aura. It could be something only Shanks has.

I dont see why Oda would even bring up the whole "spirit" thing if he was going to limit it to one character or just make it nothing special..

By fighting fair i don't think it means shanks decided to fight using the same style as his opponent, We know in one piece it's not your style that matters it's your strength and how good you are at it. Otherwise zoro should be able to kill luffy very easily, so shanks probably means their was no outside interference.

Ki is just the energy emminating from his body all strong characters have it, it's mostly used to just enhance your own fighting style. To me It's more like mosquito spray he uses it to keep the weaklings away.
