Yeah I mentioned earlier how Hyde was also there during the attack on Clear in space. I'm pretty sure I have the picture, so if you want to see it I'll post it. Simply put, Hyde is canon now, he's no longer an anime-only mamono.
What is weird is that Hyde only appeared in the first episodes of the anime, and his only appearance in the manga was during the final battle.

For anyone who hasn't seen the chapter at all, here is a summary I found. If you don't want to know yet don't click.
! Kiyo comes home from school, and is ecstatic that he has received a letter from Zatch. He opens it up, and it reads that despite being king, Zatch still has to go to school, which he is very excited about, and does a dance with Ponygon. Tia and Kolulu show up, and Tia yells at Zatch for acting like a kid when he's the king. Zatch defends himself by saying it's his going to school dance, and then realizes he's late.
! We see Kanchome waving goodbye to his father while Goomu takes him and Papipurio to school. At school, a new student is introduced: Belguim E.O. He shouts his name, then asks if that was a good introduction. Penny and Byonko come in, with Penny leaping at Zatch saying she transferred because Zatch goes to the school. While Zatch is holding her off, Tia tells him that Laila and Pamoon are the top 2. We see Pamoon hanging out with Hyde (Furthering his canon-ness.), and Laila hanging out with that tree mamodo Brago crushed.
! We get a view of Zofis still scarec to death of Brago, Danny and Wonrei hanging out in a Chinatown like place, Bari, Tsao-Lan, Roduex and Keith hanging out in the same class, The dragon brothers getting drunk, Rops, Demolt, and Coral Q taking care of construction, random mamodo hanging out in a library, Yopopo teaching Baransha, Riya, Zoboron, and Baltro how to dance, Ted, Cherish, and Rein building an orphanage, and Victoream watching his melons grow.
! Meanwhile, Zatch has to appear at his inauguration, and Zeno's making fun of him, saying not to screw up and soil the Bell name. Yuno, the old lady who took care of Zatch comes to congradulate him, but Zeno stops her, and yells at her for doing those horrible things to Zatch. The words cause Yuno to break down, and Zatch steps out.
! We see his family with tears in their eyes, and Zatch is officially announced the king, to a wild and cheering crowd. (Which includes the Black knight from the first movie, thus making him canon.) However, after that, he is introduced to tons of papers which he needs to write the new laws in. He brings in Earth to write most of them. One night, Pen (From the movie, thus making HER canon.) wakes him up telling him that he could send a letter to the human world, which is the one Kiyo's reading.
! He mentions Clear Note. He says that Clear was actually a messenger from the Mamodo God, and that Clear never had powers of annihilation, but it was given to him. Also, the Mamodo God screwed with his mind so he could be all "I have to kill everyone." And says he was scared about giving Clear his body back, but it turns out he's just a little kid who loves fried yellowtail. It turns out his true purpose was to see if there were any mamodo who didn't want to fight, and Zatch was the first.
! He concludes the letter saying that he'll find a way to come back, and says that they'll all be so powerful, he can help more than one world, and Kiyo says, "We'll meet again, Zatch!"
! THE ENDThe thing about Clear sort of contradicts something about the battle mentioned earlier in the story though.

Anyways, I dunno how the Clear thing is contradicted by the past chapters. Clear just pointed out what would happen if chaos ensued in the demon world or any world by the irrensponsable power of a government.

It's the last part, that mentions how he was there to get mamonos that didn't want to fight. Way back during Kolulu's fight it was said one's that didn't want to fight were given a personality that wanted to fight. Then again, the only one that actually showed this was Kolulu herself. I'm likely just looking into it too deeply.

Well, in my oppinion, the god was just waiting for someone with a change of heart, yet strong enough to get all the way to the finals. After all, it's not like Kururu would have been "strong" enough to inspire some change in the other demons.

I kinda liked the summary version of what happened to Clear better. Other than that I think the ending was great. -
Yup the story of clear in the summary was interesting, but a summary made with dub names and all…I knew we couldn't really trust it ^^;;..
(now how the hell, he came to this conclusion that clear is the messenger of god and all...?)
About gash's reflexion about the meaning of the fight, it's what I always thought so I find it quite cool^^.

Somehow I like this ending. The Mamono fight will continue to go on after all, but mostly due to the good things as opposed to the bad. (not to mention that this is the only way for Mamono to come to the Human realm at this time…unless a sequel reveals Gash finds another way) And while the whole "Baou eats all bad things" is a slight DEM, at least Clear was finally turned into something a bit more sane. All in all, at least it all makes sense now.

Well, the battle going on is good after all. I think that after all, it's the way for the Mamono Parents to send their kids to a Camp of sorts to become better beings, and you know, not many kids like to go to camps, so Kolulu's reaction was pretty understandable.

I know that Baou eating away things like that was known about ever since Faudo, I just liked the way Clear was brought up in the summary better, just personal preference really. There could be a chance for some kind of story still in the same world. There is still that other book that was in the Demon World library, the one beside the book about Faudo.

The anime ended because Raiku broke his hand and the manga was delayed a few months, and that caused the anime to catch up with it and then change its story.
Also, because one of the major sponsers wasn't getting as much money because the card game wasn't selling as well anymore. But maybe if we're lucky, eventually they'll make a second anime, or if there's a new series, they'll make it about that. -

I know it was stated in the last arc but it just seems a bit too much that Baou is so powerful it eats everything evil. It was interesting to see how it affected Clear but somehow I just wished maybe somehow he just turned into that little form after losing without the Baou excuse.

OAV seems like the way to go, and since it's not a lot of arcs that were left out of the anime, there's no way they could screw up like they did with the remaining chapters of Ranma 1/2.

Well during the anime ending, alot of mamonos weren't sent back like they were in the manga. Bari, Kiees, Ted, Karuido ended up making it in the anime; although I don't remember if there were anymore. The opposite is true also, a mamono that survived in the manga was sent back in the anime, Earth.
Then again they could just disregard all of that if an OVA were made about the King Festival.

If Toei wants to get this right, the best thing to do is to just start from the moment Faudo is ressurrected and just do OVAs from there. Maybe do one series for "the rest of Faudo", one series for Clear and we're all set.

To change the subject a little. Anyone hope some kind of databook is released? It could show all the mamonos and lists of the spells they could've had. Most of Takahashi's works have been crossing the line between shonen, seinen and…"other" since she started. (Maison Ikkoku ran at the same time as UY and that was considered Seinen so its not like she's not used to it) I think the problem is that she just doesn't want to give up the shonen stuff and Sunday just doesn't want to give her up...unless they want to see their fortunes collapse any further. (always the bridesmaid for Jump and Magazine)

Apparently someone colored the last chapter. Usually it wouldn't warrant a bump, but it looks so well done. The double spread on pages 10-11 looks especially great and is my favorite looking one. I like the colors this person gave to Goomu.
Also, if anyone could help me. I'm not really all that good at photoshop or any of that, but I was wondering if someone could take the part on pages 16-17 that has the photo of all the mamono and make it straight without losing any of the quality. I tried earlier and it turned out horrible. I wish to make it into a signature so I'll have to change the size also. I thank you in advance.

Somehow I think the coloring for Goomu was a tad too light…I always imagined him like this big black beetle but maybe deep blue wouldn't be too bad either.

I don't like that they changed Kanchome's(SP?) voice. Richard Hovitz was awesome! Kiyo's voice changed too didn't it? Now it sounds like someone trying to be the old actor.

Wow, took til nearly the end of the series but Umagon finally got a back cover! Great to see him on there. (though somehow the final back will probably either be all the combatants…or for some reason I'm imagining it as the little Mamono Clear turned into at the end)
