Gepetto's Monster, I called it long ago, and I'm calling it again. One Piece will never be popular in the states. Never. You telling like 20-30 people isn't exactly going to one piece into a country-wide phenomenon.
It's a sad state of affairs, isn't it?
However, the fanbase OP does have is very loyal, if we are anything to go by.
And if it wasn't popular enough Funi would have never picked it up after 4Kids dropped it.

i dunno. One Piece will never really pick up in the states. Too many people will be like "Oh that one shitty show with the bad puns is back? great" and change the station before they realize it's a different dub.
Also… Funi fucked up, getting it canceled. Yeah CN sucks ass.. but seriously. Funi started with the Jaya arc... end of story. You really think the show would catch many new fans... with THE JAYA ARC?! If there is one thing to be said about most casual american anime fans... is that they want action!! Not talk about a Sky Island that wont be for like 7 more eps. It was just a really bad choice (not to say that I didn't like it.. but if i was watching the show for the first time, i'd be like WTF?). They should have started with the beginning of the damn series so the new comers at least knew what the fuck was going on.

Also the decision to start at Jaya wouldn't necessarily fall on Funi.

The action was short lived and took a handful of episodes to get to… Of course i'm a fan of that fight.. i don't think that would have to power to keep a lot of newbie's interests.
I have no idea whose decision it was. But I know Funi had started dubbing the episodes where the 4kids version left off. they didnt do the east blue eps until later. poor choice in general if you ask me.

HAHAHAHA:happy:, I laughed when I read they dropped Naruto (don't know why, WAIT….............I just remembered why). I bet a lot of Naruto fans are hurt now....anyway, I agree, Bink. does some of the best, if not the best trans. and cleaning of mangas, IMO, they may have just lost a lot of members/ visitors!

One Manga isn't a scanslator, it's a depot. They get any scans that are put up around the web and put them up. Usually with Naruto, they end up with Sleepyfans since they somehow (and without explanation) get the Naruto scans first.

I take no sides: I just wish that somehow OP raws came out before Naruto/Bleach ones…but I think our fanbase are more slackers and smaller compared to them.
As for the calmness, sometimes you just need to keep cool in a world of idiots. That and...unlike in real life, a joke really is hard to figure out on the web unless it's bizarrly over the top. (such as using one of the 98% of the MEMEs out there)

This was actually looking to be a decently drawn fight. No genjutsus or anything. The teamwork and stuff is nice and i'm liking this.
except the whole arm full of teeth marks. eww. for being a healing by others sucking your chakra, youwould think she could use that healing power ot heal her bite wounds.

Happens, what I don't understand is why you don't delete it. See that everyday. Some guys even apologize for doubleposting and still don't delete the posts. I don't get it.

I'm digging the team hawk teamwork. Especially when sasuke charged suigetsu's sword with lightning chakra. Glad to see he at least can work with his team. Hachibi is throwing up the horns… things are getting intense.
And for some reason I found it very funny when Naruto made clones of himself, only to get them whack-a-moled by frog sensei (forgot his name)

Naw, I wasn't, The Gen's Sasuke use's can only affect one person not a whole group.
Epic Chapter, The 8 tailed Jinchuuriki has out skilled Sasuke and his crew in every attempt they have made. His power, strength, speed and endurance went unmatched. The Jinchuuriki tanked Jungo's attacks and was up a split second later doing another pose on top of a rock. lol Sasuke was saved twice in one Chapter, Suigetsu had to block the Jinchuuriki's finishing blow, and Sasuke had be healed by krin (a walking Sensu Bean). The 8 tailed Jinchuuriki was holding his own with out any of his seven swords or that fighting style, against a very serious Team Hawk, and with a tooth pick in hand at that, The Jinchuuriki was able to shrug off a Chidori, without using any of his own ration abilities. Hawk has shown great Teamwork, but the Jinchuuriki makes them look like a couple of noobs. The Jinchuuriki's speed is also very impressive, He dodging Jungo attack like and reappearing on the next mountain. It does not look as if he used any justus to get that far either. Whats so epic about it all is that the Jinchuuriki has still not used any of the 8 tails power, and it does not look as if he will next chapter.
The 8 tails is a true Juggernaut in the Naruto world

Oh, I wanted it to be an actual hit, but I thought Sasuke was going to pull something out of his eyes to save him. From what we've seen, this Jinchuuriki seems to be very powerful indeed and maybe Team Hawk won't win this one. I was hoping that, and now that seems like a possibility especially if the Killer Bee can beat them all down without any techniques while everyone else is trying really hard to fight…...except Karin. She's just there for people to bite her......and drink her blood.....wow.
Anyway, lets see what happens when everyone ups the ante.
