One Piece is getting some recognition from IGN, it seems. Luffy's appearing with the two U.S. anime juggernauts. Suppose they'll have some OP news at sometime or another.

If one person who would have otherwise purchased the DVD set downloads the torrent instead, then it hurts One Piece. So unless you're going to try and argue that every single person who downloads that torrent never had any means or desire to buy the DVDs then don't sit there and tell me it isn't a negative effect.

I was never intending to so all I'm saying is that if the show isn't on CN or some other TV network or the U.S. or whatever country isn't getting certain merchandise that other countries are getting you can't place the blame solely on people who are illegally downloading/watching the series using the internet.

Vegard, the Viz translation sucking is less about name changes and more about horrid writing. In a series like OP where the storyline IS the main appeal of freaking series, it's just inexcusable.

There really wasn't much said at AX other then the date for the next DVD set. It looks more like they randomly put him there which I found odd.

I have downloaded and watched parts (don't finish super shitty ones) movies that I never would have rented or bought ever.

And maybe from this torrent if i did like it, I might end up buying it. Though so far nothing has been good enough to buy. But still any actual movie I donwload has been one I never would have even wasted the money renting cuase i thought it looked so bad.

But the way I use torrent is the same as like. I think of torrents as a friend got the movie or rented it. I'm like sure I'll watch it, got nothing better to do. But I would have never rented it or bought it.

Of course I haven't downloaded a movie in forever. Last one I think i did was Doom movie. And I htink that alone is enough to show you I don't download anything worth money

edit: just so noone yells at me, I do infact own the funimation release and plan on buying #2. And I thought it was awesome.

Do we even know if FUNimation CAN give the broadcast rights to another network? Cartoon Network doesn't plan to air OP anymore, but they still hold the broadcast rights. Unless Toei is allowed to break contract and take it from them or CN gives it back I think OP just has no choice but to die on TV.

At the very least, those contracts normally don't last that long (shows that say on TV for a long time normally get their contracts renewed), so eventually the rights would clear up.

I think Cartoon Network typically uses 2 year contracts (or at least did in the past), which would mean that we wouldn't have that much longer. Of course, according to their site they still have the rights to Rave Master and D.I.C.E., so who knows.

If worst comes to worst, though, they could just buy the rights back from Cartoon Network. I'm assuming that would still be possible.

…It should have been 14-25 if you ask me... if Second Voyage to Fifth Voyage had all been 12-episode-sets, then Fifth Voyage would have ended just as they enter the Grand Line, which to me seems like the most logical ending-point for "Season One". But whatevah, more episodes is better, I guess.

Well, it's an opinion, and we all have to respect the opinions of one another. But YES, I do agree that Free Will was better in Japanese than English. I don't know exactly what, though.
Also, what language do you speak? Japanese? Chinese? Another Asian language? Because if you're using one of those automatic translators, they aren't good. Try translating something from your language to english back to your language, and you'll see it's bad. Really Bad.
Anyway, I'm going to wait until RightStuf has it. Maybe if I preorder it, it'll be maybe a week before the release date. So it can arrive in time for my birhtday, maybe.

More accurate price would be $0, as in you wouldn't find it in Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart doesn't seem to be selling it in stores, they're selling it on their website listed with "Not available in stores". I've heard some people said theirs had it, but these were very few.
