Good points, all. Itachi's "revelation" in and of itself didn't really bother me, as it didn't ruin the character or anything. If anything, Itachi stayed a good, interesting character to the end. Only now he's dead. :getlost:
And frankly Naruto learning jutsu is more entertaining to me than stupid emo-fest Sasuke's troubles. That and Naruto learning Rasengan was in combo with the Tsunade arc, which I liked, so I had no problem with it whatsoever.
And that's the thing, when Kishimoto actually TRIES with Naruto as a character he usually cooks up some good, if not always great, stuff. But the Sasuke emo-fest has gone on FOR FREAKING EVER. It would have been really nice and perhaps a turning point if Sasuke had used this revelation to turn his life around, but no. We stay emo. So much for character development. sigh
