Nick had Sailor Moon? WOW! I really didnt think the did anime (other than Avatar, of course).
Avatar isn't an anime, it's just a program that's anime-inspired.

Nick had Sailor Moon? I know it's Wikipedia, but that's too left field to just be fake info.
@MB: Yep, it's hard to imagine that every person involved in the show was forced to watch FLCL before production of it began.
Avatar isn't an anime, it's just a program that's anime-inspired.
Ahh, I didnt know that.
As for Sailor Moon, when you think about it, its been aired almost everywhere. I guess it only makes sense that Nick would get it sooner or later….
i saw a couple o Yugioh AMV's where the clips had a Nick symbol in the corner….

They also had a new version of Speed Racer on GAS.
I don't think One Piece will go to Nicktoons Network but this is interesting. It leads me to believe One Piece may not come back to CN because if it was going to, Toei wouldn't be looking at other networks to air the show.

Because it aired on Nick in Britain.
I can't see Nick or Nick TV airing anime…..
If they did, I can see them editing it much more than Cartoon Network does.

Nick has aired anime in the past before. Also, Nick has co-produced atleast two anime projects with the network NHK. One of them, being Domo-kun, was supposed to be airing this year, if it hasn't already.
Ok, GaryPotter… You better hope this little Nicktoons thing isn't some elaborate rumor because for some F'n reason people are believing that it will surely be the next home for One Piece.
You've unleashed a beast... Containing a bunch of gullibles.

Wasn't the cancellation thing a rumor at first which few believed until later on?

What beast? All I did was give you guys a potentially important piece of news. I figured you'd be happy.
RomanGod is getting upset at you for raising people's hopes and making them think that One Piece being on Nicktoons Network is a sure thing when it's still just a rumor and a hope, because he's kind of pessimistic about the whole business of "One Piece on American television". I hope it ends up as more then a rumor, but for now, I have to say that One Piece on Nicktoons Network is an unlikely dream.
if One piece airs on Nick..it will be more edited than it is now….. So I dont believe this.
I'll wait until either CN or Toei make a announcement about a timeslot of Move to another channel
I'll comment on the rumor later, but for now I'll say that another reason Cartoon Network may be holding off on airing new episodes is because there hasn't been a commitment for a fourth season yet. Right around now companies usually announce that Cartoon Network has ordered X amount of new episodes for next season, however FUNimation is busy redubbing the second season. So perhaps until Cartoon Network knows for sure they'll get another season, they're holding off on airing more episodes because once they reach the end of season 3, they may be left with nothing but reruns.
How do we actually know if One piece would get more edited on Nick if we haven't really seen any anime on there. Even Avatar which is there seems to be on the level of (CN) One Piece when it comes to violence.

Hmm, too bad that they can't take the quote from Comic Con:
If it's One Piece, we're dubbing it
And have that be enough. But oh well.

Not quite. Although Avatar can get intense at times, it has nowhere near the level of brutality of One Piece. But hey, maybe Nicktoons would be open to airing it uncut, I don't know.
Nick.. allows more to an extent, and less to an extent. As CN
But usually the leeway is towards their original programing.

Not Uncut One piece the CN cut.

Nick just flat out couldnt air One Piece with all the editing and flashes they would have to do. The reason I agree that it would be treated worse on Nick is how theyve treated other shows… ...They edit out Animaniacs of all things. Plus they have a tendency of embedding their own company logos into intros of all non nick shows (pretty much everything WB or HB owned). Heck, I remember when The N showed Daria... ...I cant tell you how much that got edited... ...I mean, ok, a show that aired during the same time of night, targeting the same audience, networks both owned by viacom... ...and yet they STILL had to edit it! And those werent anime!
Not Nickelodeon, Nicktoons Network the digital cable channel. Technically, they are separate from each other. You're probably right though.
Yeah, but daria was on The N and Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain were in Nicktoons, and Tiny Toon Aventures on regular Nick… ...it just seems that any networkd that bares the "Nick" name seems to butcher ALL syndicated shows.
@Sandai:
People were doing that in the other threads along with mentioning Jetix.
Jetix makes more sense than Nick… ...I say that because I just feel their audience would appreciate it more, and it already aires on Jetix in many other non english speaking countries.

It wouldnt make sense for Toei to pay funimation to edit the show for broadcast in the hopes that CN would air it. …besides they had up to ep 179 finished long before CN stopped airing it. CN said they aired every episode they had... ...which just means they just aired the 23 episodes that were sent to them. Theres no need for FUNi to send them more if they only agreed to show the first 23... ...its a contract issue, not a theyre-too-busy issue.
This also explains why when asked, the people at FUNi always act like theyre clueless about whats going on. They know exactly whats going on and where theyre at in their building (broadcast, DVD, whatever) They just have no clue whats going on at Toei and CN.
Plus they have a tendency of embedding their own company logos into intros of all non nick shows (pretty much everything WB or HB owned).
I remember them doing that to Pinky & The Brain. During the theme song, they slapped the Nick logo all over it, and I remember that pissing me off as a kid.
Still, though, I just don't see One Piece ending up on Nick or Nicktoons Network at all. It just doesn't seem right at all to me.
ITT: firecrouch becomes my new Jesus.
His idea makes a lot of sense.
Still, even though I would love to think of this as a temporary issue, I have a bad feeling about what OP's fate on CN will be. It's become obscenely obvious that CN's programing abilities are borderline sub-human. I mean, fucking Goosebumps is still airing. It's not even a cartoon, and it was a terrible, low-budget abomination back in 1997 (let alone 11 years later). I'm a little late in the conversation, so forgive me if I sound ignorant.
I also can't really imagine OP on Nicktoons or Nick, just because of how awkward it would be. It can't really compare to Avatar on levels of violence, either. The most violent scene in Avatar that I can recall was Jet getting hit with a rock (which killed him). Meanwhile, even the tamest of fights in One Piece draw awe-inspiring amounts of blood (or have kinky undertones, ala Kalifa vs. Nami).
if one piece "were" to change stations, i don't think there would be a station that would show it without totally butchering it the hell and back

If God interfered in the process and put it on Spike, that could do justice. Afro Samurai anyone.
Spike is more stupid an idea than Adult Swim, no offense. It would totally die there.
Also find it amusing you just compared One Piece to Afro Samurai, a series about a black joint smokin' samurai who goes around and dismembers people in all the gory glory.
Seconded.
16 characters.

Those are cigs you know.
Edit: on second thought I think your right.
Could episode 2 of Afro Samurai even air on Adult Swim?..
unlikely. Spike is probably looser with their airings then even Adult Swim.
If Nicktoons DID air One Piece uncut, I swear I'd bite off my left arm. I'd be like a freaking dream come true.

It would be a dream come true. Even if I don't have Nick Toons..
But still, someone would probably put it online. And there are still the uncut DVDs..
Plus we're lobsters, so our arms would automatically regenerate anyway.

Well having OP on Spike would be better than no OP.
Also I wasn't comparing OP to Afro Samurai, just that if they can air a show like that totally uncut something like OP wouldn't be an issue.
"One Piece" will never appear on Spike TV. Ever. And as far as as Nicktoons Network I'll believe it when I see it. And I hope Nicktoons and Toei Animation are in talks because there's some anime I think could use a home on American T.V. ("Gegege no Kitaro", "Pretty Cure").
Well I suppose if you guys don't want it, there's always Canada. We eat up just about every anime that comes our way (we even liked Gundam Seed).
… Pretty please Toei?
...
DON'T FORSAKE UUUUUSS!!!

A new trailer(so if this is old) of Season 1, Set 1.
Old news, I'm afraid.
Oh poo, but hey thanks for not being "OH GAWD ARE YOU FROM THE FUTURE" or "Old news douche bag". Honeslty I was expecting that as a response, personally.

OH GAWD ARE Y… Aww.. I'm too late. =(
I saw the cover of the June issue of Otaku USA while flipping through the magazine rack and it mentioned a One Piece review on the cover. It was wrapped up in plastic so I didn't check to make sure but it's probably about the DVD set.
WTF? Someone created a thread over in Toon Zone to talk about what I said about Nicktoons, and it got over 1,000 views. God, overreach much?
Oh! I totally forgot. Anime Insider is supposed to have a One Piece cover story.

Use it Garry.
It moments like these that are just ripe enough to gather insane amounts of power.

Well anyway, I talked with my buddy again, and he's pretty convinced this is going to happen. Most importantly, he says that Toei is VERY unhappy with the way CN has been doing things lately. All in all, their the ones behind the 8-ball here. But honestly, this thing could go either way.
@King Calamari: That issue has been out for awhile, it's a review of the Movie 8 DVD. It was a positive one. I asked about it a month ago in the Viz thread and someone who read it confirmed this.
