That would be much appreciated.

Wow. I just checked to see if One Piece would be on and it isn't. I see everyone else here knows that, and probably just as clueless as to why that is. And this Bakugan thing in it's stead? I thought that was weekdays. Hopefully, this is only temporary. Very temporary.
-
Yeah, you're quite behind. FUNimation doesn't even know wtf CN is doing. Many are afraid OP is gone from CN.
-
Seriously. How could CN do that? -__- Why do they always have to be so evil?! >.<
-
Hopefully, this is only temporary. Very temporary.
Don't hold your breath.
-
It's called seasons. They air them, take a break, then air them again.
It's the same thing Adult Swim did with the 4th season of Fullmetal Alchemist. It was on a hiatus of about one month (if memory serves me right) before it was released again.
So don't worry. I don't think CN would do something that drastic. But who knows, it's CN.
-
Did not ANN report that CN was just in the process of chancing up their schedual? Wait a few weeks and we might actually get word on what's going on…

Didn't FMA get replaced by Samurai Champloo until SC was almost done?
-
@The:
It's about a kid who sees cards falling from the sky and makes a game based on marbles based on it.
IMO, only good part about is the JPN Opening song. (which the dub didn't keep.)
People over at Gamefaqs seem to love it… but that's because it replaced One Piece.
It's sad though that CN had to go replacing One Piece instead of DBZ, but hey I guess CN figures that nobody cares about One Piece and that DBZ and Naruto are their cash cows and it'll help Bakugan become popular too.
Which it won't. I mean even other shows like it such as B-Damon and Beyblades were just as gay as Bakugan. Why not just keep that on saturday morning where it can rot?
-

Yeah, but GameFaqs is an extension of 4chan, so it doesn't really matter.
-
@Master:
Yeah, but GameFaqs is an extension of 4chan, so it doesn't really matter.
Yeah I know… I don't know how RomaniMack puts up with them. Even then though I would think even the One Piece haters would rather have One Piece around than Bakugan. I mean really what does Bakugan have to offer? Nothing really unless you're actually going to go out and buy their shitty toys.
I doubt many will be doing that. Maybe CN is trying to turn Toonami into a 5-10 year old block. Next thing you know they'll probably even boot Naruto off once shippuden flops and put stuff like Lucky Star on.
-

Suuuuure…. and Lucky Star is better than Naruto Shippuuden anyway
-

Well anything's better than shippuden… I'm just saying I wouldn't put it past CN to try to replace all the action anime with some of those "slice of life" animes on Toonami

Actually, a lot of people on Gamefaqs hate that they got rid of One Piece. Only the trolls are saying they like the change because the "reaction" is funny to them.
Also, they're not keeping DBZ. It's going to be replaced this coming Saturday.
Also, the Bakugan toys are selling a lot, apparently.

I doubt the toys are selling though because of the anime. Kids just probably see them in the stores and think they're "cool looking"
After all Beyblades never really had good ratings when that was on and yet that seemed to sell pretty well too.
-
Well, Toonami's an action animation block…so...
-

Shippuuden is actually a really good show.. but only every 6 or so episodes, because they just blow their money on certain fights.
Guaranteed anytime Orochimaru or Satori resumes a fighting stance it will be one billion delicious frames per second.

Not really. The extreme crappiness of the Naruto VS Orochimaru-fight was what ultimately made me drop the series. And the Satori-fight only had ONE good episode. And if only 1 out of 6 episodes are good, I'd hardly consider that a good show.
-
The very last episode of the Naruto x Orochimaru fight was a win tho'
But your right about the others being lame, as they were just "standing there" watching him transform for 3 whole eps :/ -
I suppose I'll just wait for Shippûden to get dubbed before watching it.
-
Why watch it at all? I read a few volumes of it in the manga…that was enough for me.
-
I've really enjoyed Shippuden so far, but it's been dragging on and on and on and on for a while. That last one-hour special was about the most disappointing thing I've ever seen. Nothing happened. Just lots of standing around and panning shots of scenery.
It's probably because they're afraid to make filler episodes. They have to stay a certain pace behind the manga, which means either going really slowly, or filler episodes.
-
…why did you say you've been enjoying it again?

Well, there are several reasons why the pacing is completely ridicculous:
1. They're about 2 years behind the manga. Even if they keep animating them with like 5 chapters per episode, they've still got enough content for another year before they catch up.
2. The Naruto-manga is the most dragged out series I've ever seen. One-chapter episodes don't work at all when the original chapters are so damn short.
3. BLEACH had a 3-chapter-episode this week, and they're so close to the manga there that they won't have any more content left to animate soon. Plus, the Bleach-chapters are slightly less dragged out than Naruto.Oh, right, the topic… is there really anything more to say? We're not gonna keep this topic open until the break ends, right?
-
Well anything's better than shippuden…
…........
They are both lame.
And what is your problem with DBZ anyway?
-
I was hoping the Anime would pave her own path with the story, like Sasuke growing a pair and returning to the villiage.
-
I wouldn't put it past CN to try to replace all the action anime with some of those "slice of life" animes on Toonami
I think you've just cursed us with those words.

It's been played to death on Toonami. Why replace One Piece when Bakugan could have replaced DBZ instead? I mean at least One Piece is churning out new episodes. Anything DBZ related these days is nothing more than a rerun everyone has seen years ago.
-
What does "slice of life" even mean, Aethos?
Enlighten me D:

He means stuff like Tenchi Muyo, which rely more on comedy and characters than on action.
As far as Shippuden goes, I'm actually WAITING for them to make filler episodes. Let's face it, who among you DOESN'T want to see Hinata get some episodes of her own again?
-
…why did you say you've been enjoying it again?
Because when it is good, it's really good.
Sure it only happens every ten episodes or so, but it's usually worth the wait. The last episode of Sakura vs. Satori has to be one of the best single episodes in the whole series.
-
That fight was good..
They probably used a higher budget on that then Toei used on the entire first half of Sky Piea.. (seriously)
-

No stuff actually happened in Tenchi, and that was more of a harem series. By slice of life I mean stuff like Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, Hidamari Sketch, etc. You know stuff like that.

So you want to see her moonlight dancing with her updated body?
-
So you want to see her moonlight dancing with her updated body?
That would be the general idea. Yeah.
-
So you want to see her moonlight dancing with her updated body?
While that would most definitely be welcome, I meant things that would actually be meaningful. Like her finally confessing her love of Naruto. Or better yet, her finally gaining her father's love. There's no chance of that ever happening in the canon manga, since Hinata has been firmly established as a "side character" there.

Forget Hinata.. Karin FTW

Um, it's Sasori. ^^
and I agree that that episode was really good.

You know, when CN was airing the Satori fight, I found myself doing the same damn thing in my posts.

!
but I don't think the anime's that far yet..lolz.. Naruto

i love how this became a naruto discussion thread.
Why watch it at all? I read a few volumes of it in the manga…that was enough for me.
for once, I completely agree. Shippuden is literally unwatchable/readable it's so damn boring and pointless. The save sasuke arc was horrible and tedious and the "EPIC BATTLE OMFGZ" at the end was really disappointing and plagued with unecessary flashbacks, especially in the manga. But once it moves to shippuden literally every scene and storyline is insanely generic and predicatale to the point that everyone knows exactly what's going to happen and the characters keep getting such ridiculous and random upgrades out of the blue that you just cant takeit seriously at all anymore. Which might work if the series didnt take itself IMMENSELY serious at this point.
It does a complete 180 from light hearted shonen action to 100$ angsty ridden teeny drama thing. And since Kishimoto cant organize a story, let alone write an original one it's just horrible. It's a shame because Lee was a good character. I actually got so bored I gave up during the middle of a fight. Just like dragonball when the fights, which are supposed to be the super exciting-icing on the cake of an action series just feel dull and drawn out to the point that you're not even paying attention anymore you know the series has tanked.

All I'm seeing is Sasuke in glasses being a fag over himself like usual. Wonder why he's wearing glasses.
-
Wonder why he's wearing glasses.
Naab, heavy use of the Sharingan deteriorates the eyesight. Everyone knows that.
-
looks like we might've been wrong about OP getting lowest ratings. Dbz is gone next week, too. Looks like only Naruto is sticking around for now which is understandable.
-

That's even more funny, because it's actually true (spoilerz)
-
@Ao:

Yeah it's kinda easy for a show to stick around when you got the network sucking it's dick, and ignoring the obviously better shows because of it.
-
Ratings speak louder then words. If Naruto is still around–getting but two episodes a week--then it is because it earns those times.
-
Exactly.
They'd do the same if it was One Piece earning the ratings, and you guys wouldn't consider it a bad thing.
Things feel different across the different fandoms, eh? And it's never a good thing unless it's THEIR favorite show receiving that treatment. Which in that case it'd be great!
That's how people think.
