Info on movie
I hear the first movie was somewhat disliked, either way I hope this one will appeal to comic fans. I wonder what the Leader will look like?
The Incredible Hulk (Summer 2008)
-
-
They showed two teaser images yesterday on G4. The new CG Hulk looks even more like the comic book Hulk. Looks like Marvel is on the comeback with good movies. Hope this turns out well.
-
Oh my god. What the hell. The last one had the script of like a 10 year old and the only kid who liked it was like some spaz who was homosexual for the Hulk. Theres an article in the onion a few years back thats pretty funny, its dissing MOVIE 2 of the Hulk.
-
"No three different sizes for the Hulk."
Well that's good to hear…Anyway, he's gotta be at least 7' tall when transformed. Shorter than that and I'm disappointed :(
-
this is gonna be bad ass
-
New Hulk and old Hulk. I think it's obvious who wins.
Plus Ed Norton is Hulk. Awesome.
-
New Hulk looks much more faithful to the comics, although I like the previous look of Hulk too. So far, so good.
Iron Man and Hulk are gonna be quite the tag team next year.
-
Oh shit that's awesome. I dig the shorter nose.
-
Hm, he looks meaner. Exactly how he should be. The first one made Hulk look like a sissy. I actually remember the theater censoring the word "fucking" because it was PG-13. It was a WTF moment for me. Also hoping they don't do any more of those comic-like scenarios.
-
this one should be much better , hulk looks mean this time

Somebody seriously needs to shoot you in the eye.
-
Remember in the first hulk when he he batted the metal pipe in his hand like he was going to tear shit up…..Then he just casually threw it away?
till this day I still don't know what the fuck they were thinking when making that scene.
-
So they got rid of the shitty chink right
-
If you're talking about faithful to the Hulk, then the first one actually fits better. Don't let this alien siege shit fool you, the Hulk's not all too mean. And they actually used Eric Bana's face for that Hulk, which is pretty smart.
However, I like Ed Norton, haven't seen the first one, and assume it's shit, so here's to the sequel.
-
I don't just like Ed Norton, I love him. :ninja:
But I never really got what was so wrong with the first movie. I actually thought it was done pretty well. And I'm not a huge super hero movie fan.
-
People hated the first movie because it portrayed a tragic Hulk, as opposed to a pissed off raging face-eating Hulk of anger.
Even though the Hulk has always been a very tragic character, to begin with.
-
I admit that it's not very fair that I don't give it a chance, but I just don't have anything left. I've seen the Hulk made-for-tv specials, Cap, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Batman and Robin, Elektra, Spawn, Spider-Man 3….I....just don't have anything left. Iron Man looks amazing and Ed Norton is awesome, those are really the only reasons I feel I can ever watch a comic related film again. And hell, I'll skip the new Hulk if I find out it's an hour of CG.
-
Old hulk looks like some fat ass instead of a muscled up psycho.
-
I didn't think the old Hulk movie was so bad, but I didn't enjoy the fact that Hulk didn't fight any supervillians. He fought some damn Hulk Dogs and his dad who became a shit version of Absorbing Man. But I did enjoy most of the action scenes tho with his fighting the army being my faves.
But anyways, this movie is already looking much better.
-
I like the Hulk from the first movie more, though I must admit the script of the first movie sucked hard. Not to mention there was too much dark, too much "beast loves human girl" stuff and really bad film editing. Whoever decided to make the movie shots pan like comic book panels shouldn't be working on movies anymore.
That said, I've never liked comic-book to movie adaptions, with on exception - Men in Black. Everything else is always the same kind of uneducation - "people with unique powers become vigilantes but struggle under normal human emotions and passions".
What made MIB unique was that it didn't screw with that kind of stuff - we just see a super-secret police force on a few normal days at work. Plus, it was funny, scary, science fiction and whatnot - one of my most favourite movies.
Spiderman, X-Men, Superman, The Hulk, Fantastic Four, Hellboy, Spawn, Daredevil, Ironman = same lame show.
-
From the looks of things tough, Ironman doesn't seem like struggle with human emotions. It looks more like a improve my powers to further make things go boom.
-
I almost know for a fact that IM is gonna kick balls. Maybe the trailer was kinda cheesy, but what trailer isn't?
I mostly agree with you Terek, but I don't really blame that formula. Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four were nothing like Daredevil, but they were just as weak. It's not as much a case of the story being the same old crap as it's a case of the crew knowing not how to make it anything worthwhile.

"Art is never finished, Peter, only abandoned".
But damn new Hulk is kickass! That's def. what Hulk should look like!
I really wonder what the Leader and Abomination will look like the movie tho. -

It's starting to haunt me as well now that you brought it up…
I liked the first Hulk and didn't see much wrong with it except for the lack of supervillians, but I was young when I saw it. I really liked his father's powers though :D Even so, it could've been better...
Ho-ly Dick. Abomination'll be in it...Cheers!
And I agree that some of the Marvel comic movies shouldn't have all this "emotion problems" getting in the way with what the movie should truly be. Let's take Tim Story, the Director of Fantastic Four, for example. He said in an interview with Game Informer that went along the line of 'I want to express how the Fantastic Four are different from other super heroes. They don't have secret identities, and they have the same problems in life just like other people. They run out of milk like other people."
I like how he's putting thought into it, but that's like making a movie about average people (with the exception of super powers) which sounds boring, which is why the Fantastic Four movies haven't done as well as he expected. Plus I didn't like how in the 2nd movie it was more like "But I think my wedding's more important than saving the world..."
...Whoa whoa whoa, Malintex_Terek, Spider-man (1&2), Hellboy, and X-Men (1&2) were actually good in my view (unless I misinterpreted what you said). Heck, I'm willing to debate that Hellboy was good, 'cause I haven't really read the comics (I really want to though ^_^), but I totally loved it! -
If this is rated R, I really hope Hulk rips off his arm and beats him to death with it, like he did in Ultimates.
-
Maybe Hugh Jackman will make an appearance.
-

Or better yet, rips a person or a group of people in 2 with blood gushing out of them, HELLS YEAH!
-
Does everyone here have really bad movie taste? I'd rather watch like 12 hours of Brady Bunch than this, of course the Brady Bunch is probably a treat for you people. Hulk 1 had some of the shittiest acting and storyline I've ever seen in a movie. If you want a more proffesional outlook, reviewers averaged gave it a C+ or 2 and a half stars out of 5.
-
Except this movie is going to be completely different.
-
I'm going to see a preview, if Hulk 2 looks better, I admit I'm wrong, but if it's like number 1, I really don't see any point in wasting my money to see it.
-
^^^^
You do realize that, with the exception of "The Hulk", EVERYTHING about the movie is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Guess what else? IT ISN'T EVEN OUT YET! NOT EVEN A TRAILER! What are you complaining about? -

Even that might not be enough to penetrate Moria's superior taste of movies.

Re-read this Yoska.
-
I'm not totally blind. Well, perhaps a bit. Even if this will be completely different from the first Hulk movie - which I think was okey - this will still be a Hollywood super hero action flick and that means it isn't for people who has… refined taste of things. So I think it being completely different from the first one might not be enough.
-
The Hulk will not get any more bigger when angered more, cuz it'll cost them a lot of money
^Check the last paragraph in productions. -

Therein lies the problem.
This isn't Hulk 2, it's a reboot. Think Batman Begins. It's not related to the former movie and will exist as it's own film.
-
! Well….
! I hear the first film ends with him going to South America. Hulk 2 is set to start in Brazil. -
Ah the bump made me think a trailer was out :(
When can we expect one anyway?
-
By X-Mas I believe, the trailer for the Transformers movie was shown last X-Mas which is why I base this theory on it.
-
Looks alright I guess.
-
Hm…trailer didn't catch me at all to be honest.
-
Does anyone remember that old Incredible Hulk cartoon that used to be on Sunday mornings on UPN? I always thought that was awesome. I hated that they canceled it. Anyway, as long as this movie doesn't suffer from stupidity like the first one did, it will be awesome.
-
The cartoon was syndicated.
-
Looks fantabulous. Love the look. Also love the direction they took it. Looks way more Batman Begins than Batman Forever.
-
Hopefully it won't be as boring as Batman begins.
-
What.. so it's with completely different actors, and a completely new story? -_-
groan…...
I wished that they just continued from where the other one left off. Now we have to wait through his whole "transformation", and "accepting his powers" crap again =P
This is NO GOOD
-
Jesus, one of you says Batman Begins was boring and another says the new trailer didn't catch their eye. What kind of piece of shit movies do you guys wait for? Dragonball Z? As far as continuing it from the first movie, the first movie was atrocious; one of the worst movies ever made, so I'm glad they're starting from scratch this go around.
The trailer looked awesome. Abomination and Hulk going at it are gonna be to epic for words.
-
Don't blame me because Ducard & Scarecrow sucked in that movie.
-
The first movie didn't suck.. it was just long, and drawn out.
But now that all of the introductions were done, it would have made a great sequel. I liked the actors too.
This new movie just semes like some "Scifi original" meh fest
