^Have you tried bargain bins? I found JFA in a 15 dollar box at a Shopko. After that, I found it in a Game Crazy (displayed) at the same price. I think they're still shipping, but I'm not sure. You can probably special order it at a specialty store, too.
Phoenix Wright Discussion Thread
-
-
Yeah, I keep forgetting to call EBGames or Gamestop to see if it came in. ._. I'll check into it over the weekend or something.
It annoys me because I really REALLY want to get into the discussions about T&T but I can't because I can't just skip to the third game.
-
The exact opposite was happening to me. When I was trying to find T&T I saw nothing but copies of JFA.
-
I found my JFA at walmart in the old games bin a few months back
-
Wal-mart! I live 2 minutes away! Really. I'll go look after I save up, get the nerve, and beat T&T.
Oh wait! Unlimited Adventure comes out in a few weeks. 4 days after my History Constitution Exam. And then Smashin' time. Only God knows when XD.
-
I doubt it will have it though, it was just random that I found mine in there
also I'd like to change what I said before, I actually foound it on a used DVD shelf -
I can't understand the problem well enough, I guess. It's plastered all over the frickin' town over here.
-
well you are one lucky bastard, Aceburner, if you don't mind me saying so myself.
I'll just wait to buy it just like I do with every game I don't reserve.
-
If it's pretty much a fully fanmade one, then they really did a good job. -
You mean the original audio or the crap they spliced over it?
-
I never got around to posting this, it's my favorite PW amv. I like everything about it except the PhoeXEdge yaoi…....gross

Umm..crappy audio I guess (the whole will inheritance thing).
-
@Freeman-12:

That's what I was referring to as the original. The "Reppuken" thing was added. Here's the original:

Anyway, that audio is from a Canadian comedy troupe named the Frantics. They used to pop up on the Dr. Demento show from time to time, apparently (Dr. Demento is where Weird Al Yankovic got his start, incidentally.) Not sure if they have an actual show, but there's a live-action version of Boot to the Head, too. Here:

I have an idea for a Phoenix wright AMV. It's going to have Phoenix writhing in agony with all the bad people and crazy people flashing behind him with the beat of the song. The song is… Baka Survivor! He survives, you guessed it, al the bakas!
-
Hey, has this been posted yet? It's pretty damn awesome for those of us who've played both Phoenix Wright and Ouendan:

-
Wow, that was priceless.
-
Sorry for the double-post, but I wanted someone to catch drift of this post.
Here's a Phoenix Wright AMV I made with the song Baka Survivor. SPOILERS FOR… ALL GAMES. (Apollo Justice included.)

XD very great video
-
LOL That was good. Really good…
now I'm gonna go download baka survivor. xD
Oh, btw, Phoenix is sexy as hell~ I love that hat he wears~

Mia:We all know whose milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
(I just started on T&T via NO$GBA)

Ah thanks for clearing it up :)
Anyway I'm playing Saiban 3 right now and am still in the Stolen Turnabout, 2 more before the great climax.
Godot is so random he rocks. -
The final case of game 3 was the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
-
i've gotten through the first case of the second game and it was probably the dumbest case i've played so far
as long as i live i don't think i'll forget the whole stupid banana thing
-
^I thought that case was OK, the whole banana thing was due to his bad eyesight, so I believe anyone with bad eyesight might've mistaken it for bananas :P.
I'm in the final Turnabout now facing Godot for the last time in the game.
Godot is too badass.
-
I beat case 3-3 last night. Not bad. Seeing Godot's mask glow in the dark was pretty cool somehow.
-
What bugged me about 2-1 was the whole name in the sand. Dustin broke his neck, so there's no way he could've written anything. Even taking into account the quality of PW law enforcement, that's really dumb.
You know, I've noticed that the first game had a more 'real' feel to it, like the crimes could actually take place in real life and be feasible. That's probably because in JFA we got SPIRIT MURDERER, 2-3's requirement of suspending an extreme amount of belief in regards to the actual murder, and then had 'Save Maya!' melodrama. T&T was a little better, but I thought the last case would've been better if the whole spirit channeling thing had been dropped and it dealt with the murder of Dahlia's jeweler father or something.
Hopefully, AJ will restore the 'real' feeling that AA had. Since there's no Fey in sight, it better.

I think Phoenix was able to shoot holes in that testimony once it was established that Dustin's death was instantneous and that he himself didn't write Maggey's name in the sand.

Not shitting on you but some things in the first game really had me saying to myself what the hell like Joe Darke suddenly deciding to become a serial
killer over one little accident or Von Karma walking around with a bullet
in his arm. -
Okay, yes, I did find Joe Darke killing all those people without leaving evidence to be quite a stretch, but it is possible to have a bullet lodged in your shoulder for a great period of time. James Monroe was shot in the shoulder during the Battle of Trenton and the bullet remained there for the rest of his life I believe.
Wiht 2-1 the whole writing thing should have been ruled out before court even began, because if you're paralyzed, you can't write anything, obviously. That theory should never have made it to court.
-
but it is possible to have a bullet lodged in your shoulder for a great period of time.
That much I know it's just the whole way of how that one bullet wound up sealing his fate in court.

If that had happened we wouldn't have had the obllgatory first case involving Payne.
-
so many things in case 5 were retarded.
I don't feel like listing them all since I'm sure a lot of people haven't beaten it yet, and it'd take me all night.

^She's probably my fav. witness in the whole PW series as of 3; she didn't try to cover up for the victim nor try to indict them as the murderer.
…but yeah if the last case in 3 had
! Dahlia escaping from prison and then working to prove that she IS the true murderer than that would've made more sense I guess.
-
From the Capcom G. Saiban official site-
Looks like there's this G. Saiban related musical thing going on soon.
-
Looks like a new Gyakuten Meets Orchestra.
That reminds me, I never listened to the jazz album.
….and that wasn't one of them.
-
I liked the case for the most part, but there were definitely a few select scenes I really could have done without.
-

I especially love the orchestra soundtrack, I hope they do some character themes like Gant's or something.
heres the jazz soul thing if your interested Carter

Well eventhough case 3 in T&T was a bit bullshitty in some aspects I defintely like the way Phoenix got Furio to admit that he poisoned Glen.
-
Snap, a new Gyakuten meets Orchestra? Thats amazing, I can't wait.
Here is hoping for a Luke Atmey or Mask*Demasque song.
-
Started 3-5. Let's see how this turns out compared to 1-4/1-5 and 2-4…
I liked the Orchestra and Cadenza albums myself. I didn't care too much for the jazz one.
-
Started 3-5. Let's see how this turns out compared to 1-4/1-5 and 2-4…
I'm pretty sure 2-4 is my favorite.
The highlight of the series in the midst of the most subpar game.
I need Apollo Justice very soon.
-
Yea I wished Ace Apollo was out sooner too, that soundtrack is compelling the hell out of me to DL the Japanese ROM.
-
Finally finished case 5 of Trials & Tribulations and godamn was that one hell of a case, also was nice to see Dahlia get what she deserved.
-
I just got done with case 3-2, and I loved it
! Luke Atmey is a genius. I mean, who else would've thought to use a guilty verdict as an alibi?
-

…I plead the fifth!

A bit late to the party, but I finally finished PW3 today. I actually kinda forgot about the last case, what with all the fine releases that I played like DQM and Revenant Wings.
! The ending kinda sucked for me as I already spoiled myself in regards to the identity of the killer, but there were still a lot of surprises in the case that had me go WTF. I mean, Morgan Fey was the mother of Dahlia! Holy shit, I didn't expect that! Also, when Dahlia was giving her testimony, I was practically saying out loud "Idiot woman, who else could have channeled you! Of course it's Maya, you dolt!" Oh, and it's kinda sad that Mia never really "talked" with Godot. I think they acknowledged each others presence, but that was it. How totally sucky for Godot.
What a memorable game. So many awesome characters like Atmey and Viola and of course, Godot. Oh well, time for Apollo Justice. I hope that has the same quality in terms of characters that the previous games had. -

Yeah, I almost pulled a von Karma headbang when I found out that Dahlia was testifying and everyone was wondering where Maya was. Courtroom full of idiots, I thought.
Anyway, Apollo Justice's characters shouldn't disappoint too much. In my opinion, they're some of the most likeable in the series. The story can be a bit weak at times, but It's well worth playing. -
Talk about a revival…
-
Well, NO$GBA can now play the Phoenix Wright games perfectly, so I finally have a chance to dulge into this game series until I can get a DS and someone find copies of the games. I originally played up to mid case 3 in Ace Attorney back last year when emulation was very crappy, it's so different actually having things real time with music and stuff. But that was a different emulator so I gotta restart. Just finished beating the oh so easy case 1.
-
I wouldn't say it emulates perfectly particularly because of the closing credits in T&T and the fact that some games seem to have some to have a decrease in brightness (play GS4 on a DS then play it on No$GBA)
-
^Saiban 4 worked smoothly with NO problem at all when running it on No$GBA 2.6
