Apart from Hellsing OVAs and seeing how the OP anime treats my favourite chapters, I don't watch anime. It's really lost its appeal. However, when my friend comes over and asks me to download Naruto, I do enjoy pointing out animation flaws and poor narrative–but it's all for comedy, I have nothing against Naruto.
Everyone's already said .hack// and Lain which are all comparable to Stalker but one thing I haven't heard mentioned was Bleach.
Even for a shounen, I don't know why anyone above 12 doesn't get bored of the flat personalities, droll unimaginative storyline and location design, repetitive appearance gimmicks (and a few others) and battle tactics which are just common sense. The manga isn't so bad but I'm surrounded by friends who only watch the anime and would perform fellatio on Ichigo if they had the chance.

but I really don't know why people can't give the anime a chance, the fact that he ripped the show for being ugly is the exact reason why people don't like the anime (over here at least.)Really can't seem to understand why they just can't seem to understand that this is 1970's anime so the animation is going to look dated which is ironic because this is the only anime from that decade that I've ever seen people criticize for it's dated animation, I don't seen anybody torching Kinnikuman or The original Mobile Suit Gundam animation wise.

Martian Successor Nadesico: Had potential, but utterly failed after the first few volumes.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Can't bring myself to finish it.
Gankutsuou: I want to finish it, because I love "The Count of Monte Christo", but does it get faster paced later on? Because in the first few episodes it seems to be progressing slowly.
