Yeah, but until NOVEMBER? That's two friggin' months. It would make sense for them to air it on the 29th, with all their other season premiers.
But we don't really know how much is finished. I would say November at the earliest.

Ahh I finished watching the rest of the Jaya arc. Classic stuff. No Skypiea for me though, I'm re-watching choice selections of Water-7/Enies Lobby right now. Good stuff.

I know how much of a bitch it is just to get a new section of a website onto live, so I can see why an entire site is going to take a while. Especially one that must be filled with Flash - like how Funi usually does it.
And when this manga closes out, and Luffy's arm stretches back to deliver that last punch, I wanna feel the crunch of the dream coming true.

Ugh. What's the point of flash? I find it annoying… It freezes up my netscape 7.1, and I always have to switch to my "Netscape Brower" to view it. Which is lame, because Netscape 7.1 has a much better format. It works on AOL, and Internet Explorer, but Aol usually sucks when it comes to searching, and nobody likes Internet Explorer.
This whole thing is making me wonder...

It's probably not too much consolation, but FUNi's always been pretty slow about releasing its sites – not saying that the web guys are doing a bad job or anything, but usually the sites don't show up (or at least with anything besides a placeholder) until juuuust about the same time as the shows themselves.
This dub waiting is killing me :sad:

It is killing me too…. but that is mainly because technically as time passes we are getting closer to a demise. So in that aspect waiting for time to pass to an event is anticipating gett.... I'll just get off the joke so I don't "kill" the atmosphere.

I guess technically they could, but there's no reason they'd want that. CN picked up the next season of OP, obviously believing it to be of some profit to them. Since we know for sure the last 4kids episode airs on the 22nd, there's no real reason for them to delay the new dub.
I too am placing all my bets on the 29th. Either way we'll know for sure this Saturday. Any chance we can go the next 5 days without irrational delay speculations and a million "omg CN is evil and Naruto is ruining One Piece!"

Obviously they did, because not only is they're now toys, uncut dvds, and also even cards, but also stuff like vid games (do you know how many vid games there are for that show). And if I'm right, that will happen the same w/ OP, so they should quickly do it).

Well, see, there's a difference here. DBZ was already mad popular by the time it was done internally by Funimation. One Piece is nowhere near that popular in America.

Yeah, but thinking logically, there's no marathons of any type schedueled for the rest of September, it's been pretty safe to assume that the new dub will air on the 29th.
Now watch a week after the premiere, we get another Naruto marathon.

I was just pointing out that they only had one rainbow mist title, instead of two. Usually when they post it, they do two weeks in advance like you said, but the,y only showed this saturday.

Well, see, there's a difference here. DBZ was already mad popular by the time it was done internally by Funimation. One Piece is nowhere near that popular in America.
WRONG. DBZ had a cult following but actually wasn't popular until Funi picked it up and it started airing on toonami. Just because it had school yard-buzz doesnt mean it had ratings. Like I said, SM was always way more popular back before it was on cable. DBZ was taken off the air so many times, and the whole "skipping straight to z' thing happened partially because it was unpopular.
Justin Cook mentions in that OP interview that the Japanese trust Funi because "they're the guys who made Dragonball popular in America." That's gotta be a big part of why Toei went to them with One Piece in the first place. I kinda get the feeling Funi didnt ask to take over OP from their already hectic level of licenses. I think Toei snatched it away from 4kids and said "you guys! Do with this what you did with Dragonball!" And Funi, as well as most anime critics and industry insiders LIKE one piece. They enjoy the series and realize it's the best series out of the popular shonen series and if handled right could rival Bleach and Naruto. Not to mention they know OP atleast want uncut dvds. Maybe OP won't be the next db, but handled right it could atleast be their next Yuyu Hakusho. Regardless of how many new fans the dub does or doesnt create. OP is a good enough series that if it's on tv with minimal edits and a good dub, people will watch it.
Also, it's a children's comic from Japan.

Dragon Ball Z's episode titles are not anywhere near close to the original episode titles. Maybe Dragon Ball, and maybe Dragon Ball GT. But the Dragon Ball Z episode titles are usually complete rewrites. (Very similiar to the dub script in fact…)

Haha, that's because 4kids named another episode "The Great Escape" (4kids ep 77), so it's called 2 on CN for distinction purposes.
I expect the new episode titles to be similar to Naruto's - still kinda lengthy, pretty good translations of the originals.
