No, the One Piece remark had a point. It was referring to your ability to not understand that there was more important events going on BEFORE Thriller Bark. Anyone who has read all the chpaters in One Piece up to this point understands this.
I will say it again, One Piece > Naruto, period.
Oh, and thanks captain obvious for the heads up about all of the Shichibukai being revealed at the end of the series. Any more spoilers?

None, I hope, and imo I hope its not as good as Asura. Having to push his limits in every arc, a mini-arc alone, is sad. It would be pretty cool if Zoro did something similar to that scene where Ryuuma killed the dragon, but Ryuuma being the dragon this time.

This chapter was great! Usopp won a battle all on his own, in his own way. And holy shit at Zoro getting his ass handed to him so badly! Ryuuma is no push-over. Zoro will have a really challenge now!
@Aldrich: Can't you at least be a little happy for Usopp? I mean he did win this battle without it being stolen. It's better than his whole Jabra debacle. I'm just saying! :)

I love the idea of people hating the main cast cuz they disliked a fight. Brilliant I tells u, brilliant.
And yeah, the win was legit, I just felt that it was kinda stupid how she was scared unconcious, but on the other hand, Ussop performed well the whole fight, so I'm mostly satisfied. Hope he continues fighting like this (hopefully becoming a main fighter).

That was a transvestite in YYH. It was a guy dressed as a girl. Yusuke grabbed his crotch to make sure then pummeled him after confirmation. Still I dont doubt that Yusuke would pound a girl without thinking about it. But since YYH was trying to appeal to a female demo more than the average shounen the situation never came up.
Also there are tons of male characters that beat up female characters in Shounen. Have you never seen Naruto before? Neji nearly beat Hinata to death. And Hinata was a shy, introverted girl!
Hope he continues fighting like this (hopefully becoming a main fighter).
Usopp isn't already? Last time I checked the main fighters were Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp. Just because Robin and Franky are stronger doesn't mean they're in the forefront of battles. Those four always seem to be leading the charge or seeing the most action from what I've seen.

@AO Kiji: I wouldn't consider Ussop a main fighter since he hasn't had a fight since Arabasta (a fight in which he got beat up the whole time). But I'm thinking he'll be a main fighter now tho (I hope), OP could use of dose of strategy to make the fights more entertaining. This fight was a welcome edition.
And I doubt Zoro's out yet. Remember, once he's puts on the bandanna, it's go time.

Having one on one duels isn't what I consider a frontline fighter. I consider that group the big four because they're always in the center of the action when things go down. Not to mention Usopp is never left to guard the ship, keep someone safe or do any of the stuff Nami, Robin and Chopper usually do. Eventually Oda-sensei drags Uso along with the monster team and gives him big parts to play in the battles. Even if it isn't one on one duels.

With all that talk of Strawhats getting rid of Moria and the gang quickly so we can move on to the Fishman Island arc I'm wondering if people forgot about the fact Thriller Bark got caught into a weird sea current… I highly doubt Oda would have mentioned something like that if he didn't have something in mind, Moria could very well be part of the story for a longer time than we first thought, which would be logical all things considered as he's a Shichibukai.
An alternate interesting possibility would be if moria gets taken down this arc but doesn't return Odz' shadow with the rest of them.
If you're speculation is correct that Thriller Bark will run aground of fishman island then I could certainly understand Odz' being a great tie in as he runs rampant though Jimbei's kingdom. Hell, Luffy and co. could end up allying with Jimbei to take out Odz and the 9 fishman crew (with a musician as first mate) that he collects on his way to becoming Pirate King. A battle between Odz and jimbei would be epic. (drools…)
If Fishman island is protected from sunlight by being underwater, in reverse mountain, or some other plot device, Luffy could travel there freely despite lacking his shadow. Also, Odz, with his distant dreams of glory, seems much less tied to Thriller Bark than does the zombie master Gecko Moria, who is already battling luffy. Moria should go down this arc, but I could certainly see Odz being postponed to the next one.

Yes, but that made Neji the "bad guy" and provoked righteous anger in the "good guy" and the reader. You're right that there are plenty of guys beating up girls in shounen, but only evil villains. The very act of beating on a shounen female (as cute as they all are) brings forth the ire of all male shounen readers. (Remember Spandam?)
So because of this natural reaction of the reader, shounen stylistically never lets "Hero" characters beat on cute females. Bad guys can do it to show how evil they are, but "heroes" can only beat on guys and ugly women (thinks of alvida.)
Even Neji had to show that he got along with Hinata before he could switch over to be on the same side as the hero character.

If that's what u mean, then yes. Each creator has an editor that works with them. I imagine thats how Chopper was created, the series was becoming a massive hit and they wanted a cutesy character to market to children and make a billion plushies of, so the editor probably discussed the idea with Oda-senei and Chopper was born.It doesn't happen constantly and they don't exactly force them,but basically if a creator is ignoring certain demographics or groups that the editor thinks is the series target audience or an audience they're ignoring that they should appeal to, he'll give the author a few nudges in the right direction. Like telling them they need more fanservice to pick up the older teens or a certain character is REALLY popular with girls, he should make more cameos soon or things like that. The author can always be an artist and totally rail against any and all suggestions stubbornly though. And some editors just kinda let the creator go there on way and have pretty much total control with little to no suggestion on the direction or pace of the series. It depends on the editor themself. Each editor is different and has their own approach.
Also, it's a children's comic from Japan.
Why are you comparing it to cultural engravings and burritos.

Imo Neji beating hinata doesnt count simply because of the fightingstyle. the only visual effect of him hurting her was that she spitted blood. every other character gets disfigured or bruised in someway.
