If the Shichibukai are so strong, then why havent they found One Piece?

the distance to travel the lenght of one part of GL takes less then a year. If WB has had more then 22 years to reach Raftel shouldnt he have done it by now? Either OP isnt on Raftel or there is something protecting Raftel.

Even if all the Yonkous are the same strenght they werent allways there. when Roger was killed Shanks decided to go of on his own and gather a crew, it took some time for him to "climb the ladder" so he couldnt have been standing in WBs way.
WB mentions that there was only a few of them that knew of the sea back when roger was alive, (or that the ones that knew about it are diminishing in numbers depending on whos translation you read). which to me suggests that the other Yonkou might not have been there to stop WB.

That much is evident. But Shanks is made to be a leader first and a swordsman second. That, from my point of view, puts him a step above Mihawk.

Mihawk is very strong, but to be honest, we haven't seen him do anything that any of the other strong characters of One Piece can't do. Blow up giant ships? Ace, Luffy, and others did that. Cut people up? Too many people to count have done that. Dodge bullets? Sanji did that.

Shanks has a flawless team of high-class individuals. Lucky Roo is apparently very fast moving for his size (Most of that is a rumor, but there is evidence in the first chapter of the manga), Beckman is the smartest man on the Grand Line (i.e. world), Yasopp is the best gunner we've seen so far in One Piece, and who knows what Rockstar can do? Plus, his mere aura can cause most pirates to faint.

Mihawk is the world's greatest swordsman and an inspiration for Zoro, but Shanks is a world class captain and an inspiration for Luffy, our hero. They're still equally important to One Piece.

Therefore, Mihawk = Shanks.

Now, on topic:

The Shichibukai seemed more situated in the first half of the Grand Line, whereas the Yonkou maintain control over the second half of the Grand Line. The MHQ seems to be spread amongst both halves. That's what they could mean by balance in the powers.

i agree to all except the words in bold,i don't know if mihawk will play a bigger part in the story later but shanks is more important than mihawk,way more important,if mihawk loses to zoro say tomorrow then all he is needed is to balance the powers

while shanks motivated luffy for the sake of the new world and has his plans and actually cared for ace,if mihawk doesn't show us something more than his fighting skills (which aren't shown till now not even in 1%) i will believe that he was important only for zoro in the story as WB till now shows that he is important only for luffy

Maybe you have to discover it. It like none of them has been to skypiea. Its like if you want to do what Gol D. Roger is doing you need to travel that same road. None 1 in his crew reads the phonyglyphs like robin. He may be on the same strength wise as Gol D. Roger but he isn't traveling the same path. The only person walking that path is luffy. Pirates other then Gol D Roger has been to Skypiea its just that the fools at Jaya didnt belive in the island in the sky. Remeber the ship the raider attacks in the very beginning? and that the citizens of white and whitewhite sea know the exchange rates of the 2 currencys in their heads?

Whitebeard has had 22 years on him to sail GL whichever way he chooses that is aproximetly 11 travels if they take a year to get back to the beginning and a year to the end. that should cover all the passage ways.

we cant be 100% sure noone in whitebeards crew speaks/reads the old language but its likely so i wont argue about that.

first of all the spirit was his ki,zoro used his ki in two occasions,the first was with the breath and the second when he made his fighting spirit so strong that it could project images (demon ki),it is something that even brook can have,all swordsmen from a level and on have it

True but couldn't the same be said for other high quality pirate crews such as Teach or Whitestache's?

Jesus Burgess threw a building at Ace. Lafitte is also apparently fast moving seeing as how he got to Barano Island fairly quickly.

Ace is Ace. Shanks offered Marco a chance to join his crew.

And is Yassop really the best gunner? Going by pure feats I'd say Van Auger matches or exceeds Yassop.

And we don't know if Mihawk had a crew or not. What if he also had a team of strong folk?

That's not true. Did you forget the ship Wiper attacked and destroyed just as they got there? Other ships come there (By accident, usually). It was just Bellamy's crew that did not believe in the White Sea or Shandia.

I remember that put i didn't think that was a pirate ship from the sea. If the ship did make it up there it still technically didn't make it to skypiea.

I think you're right, but I think Gan Fall said that the raiders also take down a good portion of the ships because Deserters attempt to use them to flee the White Sea.

So, let's talk about Kaidou since Sabertooth's thread got closed.

Considering that he was in the New World, he's probably one of the two other Yonkou: The Wanze looking dude or the Crescent-Moon Gary looking dude. For the most part (except Mihawk, who we've seen coming and going from the New World frequently), the Shichibukai seem to keep to the First Half of the Grand Line, at least from what we've seen.

Also because I think Dadan is the final Shichibukai, Portgas D. Dadan, but anyway…

Also, Moria won't lose his position. He's doing nothing a normal pirate of his ability wouldn't do. Crocodile lost his position because he was committing treason against the WG, his employer, by attempting to incite a revolt and a coup. He was arrested and stripped of his power for going against the very people who gave him the title in the first place.

I´m pretty sure that turning the entire world into obedient zombies is not in the interest of the World Government.

Crocodile was also pretty undercover until he got found out which was all thanks to the Strawhats doing. True there is no Marines following them now, but once all the shadows are returned it is not too far fetched that many of the victims will return home and tell what happened. This a theory of mine but is simple.

Some time ago the Shichibukai had a fight with the support of the world government against the first Yonkou in the new world and all them lost, in that time Shanks wasn´t Yonkou yet but with the years he defeated the former one and took the position of one of them.

Because the 7 renegade pirates were outcasted of the new world they got the contract of hunting every other pirate without any government penalty and received the title of Shichibukai, the official pirates of the world government.

Now the real plans of some of the Shichibukai are to take off one of the Yonkou and the balance of powers will be shattered now that Blackbeard is going to side with the Shichibukai one.

This a theory of mine but is simple.

Some time ago the Shichibukai had a fight with the support of the world government against the first Yonkou in the new world and all them lost, in that time Shanks wasn´t Yonkou yet but with the years he defeated the former one and took the position of one of them.

Because the 7 renegade pirates were outcasted of the new world they got the contract of hunting every other pirate without any government penalty and received the title of Shichibukai, the official pirates of the world government.

Now the real plans of some of the Shichibukai are to take off one of the Yonkou and the balance of powers will be shattered now that Blackbeard is going to side with the Shichibukai one.

This is the stuff that only dreams are made of…........

well theres no way he is going to realize that dream since people burn up in sunlight and then the zombie containing that persons shadow die as well.

You can say there are people stronger than moria, but you can't say shichibukai. We have no idea how powerful the other shichibukai will be, all we know is Mihawk>shanks (or equal to appease you shanks fans).

Will you stop trying to get a rise out of us? If anything, it's Shanks > Mihawk because of Shanks' importance to the plot. You seriously overrate Mihawk because of an inane title and think that because Shanks uses a sword he's automatically weaker. Give it up.

Kaidou is probably a Yonkou. He kicked Moria's ass in the past, so it's obvious that the Yonkou have some sort of edge here when it comes to strength. They're holding the fort in the New World, while the Shichibukai seem rooted in the first half of the Grand Line. Therefore, relatively, they're equal and a balance exists.

We have yet to see this new Yonkou OR the final, unrevealed Shichibukai and Yonkou, of which Dadan is probably one of them.

I considered that, but the Shichibukai have a sort of loose truce with the marines considering that they're technically supposed to be working together (but don't). Besides, Kizaru seems like he'll be some off the wall person, possibly someone we've seen before.

So yeah, I doubt the WG would want a Marine Admiral attacking a Shichibukai. So that leaves the Yonkou as the most likely choice.

Dont put words in my mouth. I'm just pointing out a reason why a Shichibukai wasn't able to find one piece, i wasn't directing it at Whitebeard.

Theres no way Mihawk can beat shanks. Do you realize he is in possession of a pirate crew of enormous proportion. None of which have been captured by the government. The weakest one probably being the rock star dude with 80,000 dollar bounty. His first and second in command should be close to him in strength. Mihawk will not be able to defeat shanks because he has to get through his crew first. Mihawk wouldn't be able to defeat such a large number of people. If he could he wouldn't have become a shichibukai.

How old was Mihawk when he won the Title. What were the conditions. What was going on. Until all these are answered you can't flat out say Mihawk > Shanks. 2 yonkou not known could be swordsman and be stronger than Mihawk. Where was shanks at was shanks concerned about the title. Its funny Mihawk has the title but shanks has an amazing crew and is emperor.
