ummm is this fan art? Regardless though it's awesome.
-
I just learned that there is a character named Jonathan in Dracula. This may be a coincidence, or maybe Araki got inspiration for Jonathan's name from Dracula?
-
Looks pretty official to me. That Gio Dio art piece I mean. So, did they finish translating part 5 and 6 yet? I remember back in the day I read 1-4 and some of 5 then jumped to 6.
-
Part 5 has 2 more volumes to go. I hate to sound like a whiney bitch considering I know it can take time to scanlate and stuff, but I really wish they would hurry up. It's taken them like a year to do 3 volumes.
Though whatever, I am still grateful to them lol.
Also katana Jon, in the part 5 game what exactly is the second option or whatever. Just choosing whatever character you want on a certain level or is like a vs mode. I don't think it's a vs mode because I have heard a lot of fans say they wish it was.
Anyway, I would unlock it, but I am kinda stuck with trish on the plane battle. How much do I have to get that guy down to to activate my stand? I can get him down almost to half, but then I die >>
-
Hmmm bizarre
i don t find any scanlations of part 6
and part 5 is almost finished
so if you can redirect me to somewhere where they have it
it will be appreciated.
thanks in advance. -

Has anyone made up some Stands? I've made up loads, some that are understandable and some that are plain bizarre. Post the Stands you've made!
-
Wasn't there a thread like that?
Anyway
Eye of the tiger: The stands power is based completly on the human. It's has an apperance of a boxer with green skin. The power of the stand is doubled if the human fights along with the stand (ie. if the stand threw a kick so did the user)
Power: E-A
Range: C
Knowledge: E-A
Defense: E-A
Speed: E-AStand: Fallout Boy
Ability: This stand has the ability to teleport and grab any item in a matter of seconds as long as it's in the state/providence/ (Whatever it maybe called in that part of the world) It can't pick up things if it's too heavy. (like 20 tons)
Power: B
Defense: C
Speed: A
Range: A
Knowledge: C -
in the part 5 game what exactly is the second option or whatever.
Yeah, Another Story (think that's what it's called) mode just allows you to do certain fights over with different characters, four for each stage. For example, the first stage in Another Story is the second fight against Bucciarati and you can pick either Mista, Narancia, Fugo, or Abbachino.
I've been replaying the game again lately and am having a blast with it, trying to get S ranks everywhere. I'm up to the Grateful Dead fight on Another Story, and trying to finish the first fight with King Crimson on the main story mode with full health for the 200/200 score there. Everything before those stages are already 200/200, so I'm roughly about halfway done with it.
And about activating Trish's stand, I think you just have to do a couple of the Secret Factors on that stage to get Spice Girl out. I don't remember though, since I haven't done it in awhile. And I'm definately not excited about trying to get S Ranks on the Notorious B.I.G. stages.
-
Nurlock have you played the part 1 game also? If so do you know how do you beat bruford underwater? I am stuck.
Also it's safe to say Part 5 game >1
Though if I really had to complain about one thing in this game it is the misspelling of bucciarti.
and the stupid level with the reverse controls >>Buccelilati. Urgh X-x
-
Yeah, I've got Phantom Blood too. Beat it not too long ago. Basically, the way I beat Bruford was blocking by one of the spots with air bubbles until he got close enough and then hit him after he tried something on me. Try to keep an eye on him with the camera. It worked pretty well once I got the hang of it, but it was damn tough. And I'm pretty sure the fight's over once you do the R2 move on him, but I can't say I'm 100% sure of that. Best piece of advice I can think of is to just play defensively with him.
-
Wasn't there a thread like that?
Yeah, but I thought it'd be better if we just condensed everything into one topic. Like, for the Jojo fans.
This is probably my favourite out of the ones I've made up.
Megadeth
Power: A
Defense: C
Speed: C
Range: A
Knowledge: CMegadeth has two forms. The first form is a sentry-esque robot that is slow and chunky. It looks similar to Notorious BIG and is equipped with a laser fitted to the front of it. It can also track enemies using a sample of their skin/hair/whatever.
Its second form (Brought about using a Stand arrow, like Another One Bites The Dust) is a humanoid cyborg equipped with dual machine guns on its arms, several missile launchers (Name: Hanger 18) and a powerful laser hidden in its skull that can wipe out an enormous space of land (Name: Countdown to Extinction). Megadeth can switch between these forms at will.
Here's my "final boss" Stand.
Freebird
User: Akito Law (Bad guy in my fanfic thing)
Power: A
Defense: A
Speed: C
Range: C
Knowledge: BFreebird can create a small dome of energy (Like The World's time-stopping effect) and transport targets into another dimension. In this dimension, every object except Law is turned into glass and is extremely fragile, but breaks apart into jigsaw puzzle pieces.. Time doesn't pass in Freebird's dimension and as an effect of this, targets and Law don't die until they are brought back into the real world. For example, if a human was taken into Freebird's realm and had a hole punched through them, they wouldn't die until Freebird grabbed them and teleported them back, in which time they could pick up the pieces of their body and build themselves again. However, if they were teleported back they would die almost instantly.
The time gap between Freebird's dimension and the real world is huge. For every week in Freebird's realm, a day has passed in the real world. -
There's some three-part Zeppeli/Joestar family poster coming out this month between (I think) the single volume version of Part I, the Phantom Blood movie guide, and this month's Ultra Jump, and all I gotta say is that I hope someone provides the internet with a nice scan of it, for it would make one kick-ass desktop. Here's a couple camera pictures of the first two parts from a Japanese blog:

The second option is "Another Story".
You can choose to play with different characters in each stage.
As for the battle on the plane, attack the chairs as you run for the back. Once you get all the way to the back, you'll see a cutscene.
B.I.G attacks anything that is moving.
-
Shit those 2 pics are badass!
-
anyone know of all the stands whose attacks are parts of songs / names aswell I know of 2
being
all of Killer Queen's attacks
and Magician Red's Crossfire Hurricane
and
Phantom Blood = This Weekend!

White Album Gently Weeps(While My Guitar Gently Weeps)
-
Hey, what's going on with Steel Ball Run? I downloaded the 17 chapters from ignition one, but when I went on a Jojo forum, they had chapter 18, but it had nothing to do with 17! Anyone know what's going on?
-
I think it's because Araki restarted his chapter numbering system when SBR moved from Weekly Jump to Ultra Jump. Don't quote me on that, though, since I haven't read that much of it.
-
Well if you want to know what happens in SBR go back a couple pages in the thread, there's a link to an sbr FAQ
But basically what happens in chapter 18 is
! Mountain Tim shows up on the scene and it shows that he can seperate his boddy parts and hold them together with rope. It's pretty sweet.
-
So what are the refrences to JoJos B.A. have u seen/know of in Japanese anime, mangas, etc.?
The ones I know are-
SNK: Kyo kinda reminds me of Jotaro for some reason.
Benimaru is based off Polnareff, but that was known anyway
In KoF 2002 & NeoWave, Chang's HSDM has him do a funny parody of The World's Toki-yo Tomare -
My favorite reference thus far (Buso Renkin):
!
-
I like the "references" in Devil May Cry 3, with Quicksilver.
So fun pairing it with Beowulf. Or you could use Doppelganger and pretend you have a Stand.
I like yelling "Kingu Curimson!" when I use it. :3
-
My favorite reference thus far (Buso Renkin):
Awesome. I have no idea how I didn't catch that.
There is another reference in Volume 2, according to the notes at the end, but that's all I can figure out.
Capcom LOVES Jojo to death.
Rose (Street Fighter Alpha) is based off of Lisa Lisa.
Pocket Fighter has the characters BECOME Jojo characters.
Ibuki has Chaka, and Ken has Hol Horse. -
There's also some references in different Castlevania games.
Zephyr from Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin is Dio.
In Aria of Sorrow there was a monster who gave you a soul that caused a Stand-like thing to come out from behind you and it did the ora ora punch thing. I can't remember the name at the moment.
There are some other things in some of the more recent Castlevania games that seem like they could be references, but I'm not completely positive.
-

The Cagnazzo. There is also a Stone Mask you can equip in POR.

I'm very new to Jojo. I got two volumes of it for Christmas, but I'm having trouble finding any more volumes. I'm really liking the excellent job Viz did with it. Seeing as how a handful of others have done this, I shall now create my own stand.
The Blues Brothers
Power: C
Defense: A
Speed: C
Range: A
Knowledge: CThe Blues Brothers are actually two stands. They can move independently, and have 300 feet of movement range. However, they MUST at all times be 25 feet from each other. Their strength is that they can multitask and and take hits very well. Seeing as how there's two of them, I'll be taking twice the beating as a person with one stand, so it balances out. Other than that, it's a stand with average abilities.
Their appearance is that of two men wearing black suits and sunglasses. Surprised?
-
from another forum
Besides being short (like 90 mins), I think it also did not explain the story that well. Here's some stuff I read:
1.Dio becomes ferocious vicious evil monster to a simple dracula (btw I love his new costume..with the heart buckle.)
ie: Dio doesn't make that much of an impact..2.Somehow,Dio isn't like Dio. Maybe he looks less evil,I don't know..
3.Dio's castle springs up from the ground. What is this…the Technodrome?
4.Erina is expressed like a strange "Moe" character.(I always thought she looked too gaudy for a doctor's daughter in the 1800s..) Well, her voice actor IS Mizuki Nana.. and in the 'official movie guide book',you can see 3 pages Mizuki Nana in her pretty dress..while the other two VAs have more interviews than photos.
5.No extreme battle with Tarkus and Braford..they are dead before you know it. There's no Poco and his sister anyways. And no Jack the Ripper. And no Speedwagon.(sob sob)
6.They tried to condense it too much. Too much condensed even excluding SpeedWagon..geez I wonder how..
7.Diar doesn't throw the hamon rose. Only Tonpetti shows up,no Diar or Straightz.. My guess is Zeppeli. He has a rose on his chest..
8.Did not explain the concept of Hamon that clearly.(I was like "wha..?" on this one.)
9.Many of Jojo fans are saying 'the movie destroyed the original story'.
10.'Super short!' <-I read that a lot.
'need xtra 20mins!' 'will there be more in the DVD?' and so on.11.'What am I seeing? This isn't Phantom Blood!' <-I read this a lot too..
12. 'Although it completely destroyed the original, I guess it's okay as a whole movie..' is something positive(?) I read..
/cry :(
I hope if they ever decide to do something more with this series they skip the entire OVA nonsense and go for a full on Anime TV series where they can avoid cutting all the best parts.
-
The Cagnazzo. There is also a Stone Mask you can equip in POR.
Yeah, that's it.
I was wondering about the Stone Mask. I thought of JoJo when I got it, but I didn't know if I was the only one.
-
No Jack the Ripper OR Speedwagon!!!!?!?!? dies a little inside
In regards to the buso renkin/jojo thing, what exactly is he saying? I can tell it says Burabo… meaning/attack?
-

He's saying "Bravo, ah, Bravo!"
His name is Captain Bravo, and he's imitating Polnareff.
The joke is that "Bravo" is also his catchphrase. -
There is another reference in Volume 2, according to the notes at the end, but that's all I can figure out.
Those notes in the Viz version just say he got the idea for Papillon's "transformation scene" with just his underwear from Santana in Part 2.
-
Alright I am going to get something off my chest.
I HATE SPEEDWAGON!!
He's always annoyed the crap out of me because he practically he nothing (exciting). I don't know why people like him so much.
-
Please leave the thread.
-
He's not exciting. I haven't read all of part 2, so maybe he'll impress me there, but in part 1 I got nothing. Will was much cooler.
-
No, I think you misunderstood.
Please leave the thread.
-
Maybe I should have added in my opinion to make you understand.
-
^Well TBH I never cared for Speedwagon much, but he DOES have a somewhat vital role in the later Parts mainly due to his Speedwagon Pharmacutical Foundation or whatever it's called.
I mean heck maybe Josef countinued working for/with the Foundation after Speedwagon's death, and if it weren't for this foundation, they may never have found Josuke or Giorno…
Soooooooo what I mean to say is that as a character he may not have done much in Part 1 at least, but his foundation has played roles in later Parts. -
Speedwagon could throw a hat so he's cool.
-
I like those characters (speedwagon, poko, smokey, the little stalker-girl in part3, the alien,…) in Jojo
they're part of the story even if they don't do much. -
Two stands I think would be interesting
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Power: A
Defense: D
Speed: B
Range: B
Knowledge: CNot to good with the description but 2 attacks
-Humanoid Stand
"Freebird" - Left hand reduce the gravity on any object that it touches (thus making it lighter)
"Take Your Time" - Right hand increases the " " (" " heavier)
and
Under Pressure (revamp from last thread)
this is a Humanoid stand close range thats as long as the stand is out, the amount of pressure on everything with in a 10m radius accumulates at a fixed rate.
oh and
Soul'd Out, Voodoo Kingdom - http://www.sendspace.com/file/htqocc
and from this month's UJ
-
Lord, Jonathan looks like a fruitcake.
Still, it would make a pretty cool wallpaper.
-
they forgot Ceaser aswell
-
Caesar sucks so nothing lost there.

Awesome all the Jojos are togather and Jolyne looks more cuter

@Cap'n:
Caesar sucks so nothing lost there.
OMGz dont insult characters from the comic!
wait…wait.... braces for impending irony
-
Hey are you trying to compare Caesar and Speedwagon
leave the thread

Taleran, is there a bigger version of your signature? I haven't seen that image before, and it looks pretty bad ass if I do say so myself.

Recently I just ordered the part 6 tankobans because I had cash and I have to say
MAJOR SPOILERS
! I feel bad for enropio at the end. He's the only one to survive the universe reset and when he sees he friends in the reset world he just bursts ok crying. It's a really sad seen
Also star platnium's stand stats were all A's in part 4 right? If so he got nerfed in part 6
