BTW am i the only who counts the Yonkou crew into this mixture? Ace was probably more strong then crocodile a Shichibukai so personally i think it would be better if it was Shichibukai + MHQ = Yonkou but im probably wrong

No, I am fine…My point to you that being a great pirate you must have STRENGTH otherwise your crew won't respect you..you won't have many followers and you would NOT make it to where you want to go!!! Strength is possibly the greatest asset you must have to be a great pirate...

It probably had to do with knowledge and intellect as well, which is where Roger excelled over Whitebeard and won against the final opponent, becoming Pirate King in the process.

I am curious to how Roger could have been caught. I still think that he had to have been overpowered because if WB was the only one to ever TIE in a duel with Roger, and WB is the current strongest man in the World than Roger must have been really strong.
I think it was either he gave himself in, he was betrayed(although I doubt he would have had a crew that was so low).. Or he was just beaten by a group lead by sengoku or something like that

Well, you see how strong Garp is now. Imagine how strong he would have been during Rogers age. He cornered him many times so obviously he's in the running to who caught Roger. So far, he's pretty much the best canidate for the person who would catch Roger.

So it's very much possible that whilst Shichibukai rules the first half of the Grand Line, Yonkou rules the other half.
