The Five Elder Stars.
I've read somewhere on the forum that they would represent certain Great Powers in our world/history, so I decided to try to get this thing worked out.
So far, I've only been able to find two real persons that you can almost claim that Oda certainly used as inspiration, and that would be Mahatma Gandhi, and Mikhail Gorbachev. The third one, who everybody seems to think would represent a random jewish rabbi have I only been able to find one candidate, and that would be Sigmund Freud. Since he's hawever not having that hair-style, I'm quite uncertain.
Anyway, the two remaining…
For the first one... The only person I can think of to match them up would be U.S. President Rutherford. However, I don't think that Oda's very interested in U.S. presidents, and that he would be inspired to use someone like Rutherford.
For the last one... Strange though it is, but the only candidate I could find for him would be the Meiji Emperor. The main flaw here is that this fellow seems to be blond, and not black haired.
Anyone have any other ideas?
