Do you think any of these villians has a chance, making a second appereance? I have a feeling atleast one will:ninja:
Ener, Kuro, Arlong, Kreig, Croc?
-
-
Croc might. It's been speculated that we may see them again in Impel Down. Hey, maybe he'l be there to greet Lucci?
-
@Final:
Do you think any of these villians has a chance, making a second appereance? I have a feeling atleast one will:ninja:
Ener: Not really - at least not until we see the conclusion of the moon story.
Kuro: Possibly. It's possible that he chased after Luffy out of revenge for ruining his plan.
Arlong: Maybe. I bet he gets referred to a lot in the upcoming arc, though!
Krieg: Probably, but it's more because it's alluded to that Gin said something along the lines of meeting Sanji again on the Grand Line (assuming his survived the poison).
Croc: Well, I don't know on this one. On the one hand the creepy silhouette picture of Impel Down is consistant with various other silhouette pictures that Oda likes to use as a way of saying "hey, look what's coming up!". It would be nice if the Straw Hats helped Mr. 2 somehow, but I don't know if he'll come back or not.
-
Sure, they all will meet again at the Pirate Summit! Both Enel and Ace pretty much said somthing along those lines.
-
1. Arlong will probably be mentioned in the upcoming
[hide]arc.[/hide]
2. What is this Impel Down in which you are speaking of?
-
It's the WG's underwater prison. It's close to Enies Lobby, behind the gate of Justice.
-
Yeah it's an underwater prison just past Enies Lobby. Apparantly it's the most dangerous prison the World Government has, each cell and pair of handcuffs is made out of Kairoseki jsut in case, andall the prisoners there are so miserable, they want to bring more prisoners in, so more Pirates can suffer the same as them.
-
Sure, they all will meet again at the Pirate Summit! Both Enel and Ace pretty much said somthing along those lines.
Wait when did enel say this, and how would he have known about it?
-
Here's to hoping the WG forces the previous villians to work together in order to capture the SH. Sorta like the Thunderbolts or the Suicide Squad. I know these sound cliche, but I think it'd be a fun, short arc.
-
Yeah they should do something like that, but i really dont think it would be a short arc since oda likes to prelong things.
-
Arlong will likely be mentioned several times in this upcomming arc. arlongs defeat may (infact probably will) factor in quite heavily to the reaction we see from Jinbei
if we see noone else from the past, i would like to see Gin again… I wouldnt be surprised if he is even leading a crew rather than following krieg still, but you never know how things like that will turn out.
-
Sure, they all will meet again at the Pirate Summit! Both Enel and Ace pretty much said somthing along those lines.
Will you give that a rest? Pirate's Summit is a FIGURE OF SPEECH. It's NOT AN ACTUAL PLACE. For the love of Roger… It's like saying, "Let's meet at the top".
-
Pirate's Summit may be a place
it could be a tournament/meeting whatever.
likely it just means "see you at the top" and we won't find out until later so ALL of them are speculation that is possible.
As much as I'd love to see sometihng like in Movie 4, to be honest it's not a very likely meaning. Also keep in mind not to use just the english translation. You need to look for puns and such in Japanesze, and other possible translations.
Now, they said Merman Island but Nami had memories of Arlong. So what is it, Merman or Fishman? Translators should be careful how they translate now, since we got proof of the differenced between Mermen and FIshmen, we don't want to mix them up again.
-
Having a Suicide Squad in One Piece would be hilarious.
I at least want Lucci and Crocodile to meet up.
-
The word for merman in Japanese is Ningyo. Oda reversed it and uses a unique word. Gyojin. So technically, fishman is correct, because Gyo = fish, and nin/jin = man.
Kokoro refers to to her as an Shiraiu (An Icefish) Ningyo. So apparently mermaids are referred to as Ningyo, the male are referred to as gyojin.

Ener- has left the building. There's no way he's ever going to come back.
Kuro- possibly, but unlikely. Of all the East Blue Pirates, he's the least likely to go to Grand Line.
Arlong- dead.
Krieg- probable, maybe seen with Gin. However, it depends on how Krieg took his defeat to Luffy; if it impacted him, he's probably not ready to return to Grand Line.
Croc- possibly. During Goldenweek's Miniarc I'd probably say yes, but at Impel Down? Croc didn't escape when he could, so my guess is he's not motivated by revenge or a desire to go back to the pirate life; like Mr.1, he welcomed his incarceration.Overall analysis: no.

You really dont think that oda would not let them come back? All he hast to do is make them get stronger out of nowhere like the SH did to beat CP9. It wouldnt be that hard.
-
Remember the bit where everyone found out about Luffy's 30 million berry bounty? Kuro was there… >> <<
-
I think that was Anime filler.
But seriously, with Butchie and Siam dead and Jango a deserter to the marines, Kuro has no officers, the bow spirit is torn off his ship, and he's already "Dead". I think he's pretty much done pirating, unless he somehow runs into foxy and manages to get more officers from him.

Ace, you didn't pay attention to Hatchan's mini-arc did you?
The fishmen (Arlong and co) are not the the same species as mermen/mermaids. We SAW a female fish-women in Hatchan's mini-arc. And Oda states in one SBS they are completely differnt speices all together.
Its not:
Ningyo = female
Gyojin = male.Its:
Ningyo = One species
Gyojin = Another species -
Croc might. It's been speculated that we may see them again in Impel Down. Hey, maybe he'l be there to greet Lucci?
Why would Luchi go to jail? He's a goverment agent. And he could be dead for all we know.
Ener: No, he's just to powerful. He could probably conquer the world if he wanted to, unless Luffy notices. But he should just stay in wacky mini-story land.
Kuro: Unlikely. Kuro was beaten, but he still is presumed dead by the marines, which all he really wanted. He no doubt is enjoying his vacation somewhere with a bruised ego.
Arlong: NO. Thematically that would be awful. Much like Arlong Park, Luffy wiped him out of Nami's life.
Krieg: THIS I think could happend. Gin did hint at wanting to meet agian on the Grand Line.
Croc: The way Croc acted in the mini-story was the way of a guy who knew he had his chance and failed and accepted that. So if we actually meet Croc again he'll probably be on pot and very mellow.
-

sighs I can't believe people still speculate rather Arlong is dead or not, no one is killed in the present in One Piece! Only the past. Bellamy can be speculated about but Arlong was defeated by Luffy, so theres no chance hes dead cause Oda stated himself "Luffy doesn't kill!".
And don't go being a noob and going "The Arlong Park is the one who killed him!" cause that'll basically just be Luffy indirectly killing Arlong which is, again, no.
-
Arlong is thematically dead.
-
I doubt Crocodile let himself get arrested because he was tired of being an outlaw. Look at the guy, he was smiling the whole time while he looked downright depressed when he was in jail, it seems obvious to me he has a plan of some sort.
-
Or he snapped.
(16 characters speculate)
-
OFF TOPIC:
i've been dying to see usopp do this since like forever:
ON TOPIC:
i think only Arlong, though it would be nice to see Kreig so we could see the Mugiwara own the fuck outta them all in seconds. oh and Arlongs alive, it was stated so in an SBS i believe.
-
Why would Luchi go to jail? He's a goverment agent. And he could be dead for all we know.
Why would he be dead? We never saw cannonfire hit him, and Luffy's attack wouldn't do it. That's like saying….that Arlong is dead or something.:wassat:
Anyway, it depends on what the WG does with the CP9 after this. I was thinking they could arrest them as a scapegoat, then leaving the CP9 among the "pirates" they despised so much. Then Croc could be there to make life hell for him.
After all, since the SHs aren't going to Impel Down, how else are we going to see it?
-
Ener: No, he's just to powerful. He could probably conquer the world if he wanted to, unless Luffy notices. But he should just stay in wacky mini-story land.
Wrong .
-
It was never stated in an SBS. Someone asked Oda in an interview if Arlong was still alive. He was evasive, saying stuff like, "Well, maybe he got away before the building collapsed" or "Maybe it missed falling on top of him". He never actually stated that he was dead or alive. It's because Oda hates killing anyone with a backstory or a history.
There are some people in present time One Piece that are more than likely dead. Ms. Monday and Mr 9, for example. Mr. 5 blew them up, we had a whole cover-arc dedicated to Baroque Works and neither of them were seen or mentioned. Then there's Mr. 11, which was very minor, and was shot by a Billions agent, the fat guy that Luffy launched from the first city in Alabasta they were in (forget the name).
Shura, Yama, Hatori, and Ohm are most likely dead. Yama had his spine broken, Hatori had his head smashed, Ohm was sliced open, and Shura took a reject dial to the chest. Enel, with his powers, had to restart his own heart to revive after a reject blow. So, you can pretty much bet on Shura being dead.
Bellamy is speculation, but he's either dead or mutilated. I'm gonna go with mutilated, because of the nature of Doflamingo's words.
Siam and Butchie are dead. Siam is confirmed dead. Zoro was impressed that Butchie got back up after being sliced and Siam didn't.
And that's about it. I can't speak for anyone in Enies Lobby/Water 7 arc until we get a bit further, but it's a safe bet at least Nero is dead.
-
Why would he be dead? We never saw cannonfire hit him, and Luffy's attack wouldn't do it. That's like saying….that Arlong is dead or something.:wassat:
I'm not saying he is, but the last bit of speculation to make is him "going to jail". He's a government agent, end of discussion.
Anyway, it depends on what the WG does with the CP9 after this. I was thinking they could arrest them as a scapegoat, then leaving the CP9 among the "pirates" they despised so much. Then Croc could be there to make life hell for him.
Theres no scapegoat, "Luffy and crew destroyed Enies Lobby" says the newspaper.
The world dosen't even know CP9 exists. After all, since the SHs aren't going to Impel Down, how else are we going to see it?
Your saying the only way to see it is CP9 being sent there?
-
Wrong .
A guy who can create island destroying orbs out of cloud and blow people up from miles away could conquer the world.
-
Ener: Once you're out of the picture… things will be the same again... I will be invincible!!!
There will nobody left in the entire world to oppose me!!!Luffy: The ENTIRE WORLD...?!!
Oh yes there are!! There are plenty...!!!
DOWN ON THE SEAS BELOW...
THERE ARE PLENTY OF MONSTROUS GUYS WAITING FOR YOU!!!!
YOU'RE NOTHING-Pretty much.
-
If Ener werent an idiot, beleive me he has what it takes.
Unless the Marines have a Seastone lightning rod….that would fuck things up.
-
Says Volume 43's SBS:
D: Question!! If God Ener were to descend to the Blue Sea, how much would his bounty be? Also, what would happen if he did that? Would he rule the Blue Sea? P.N. Gorozoro
O: I see. Interesting question. Knowing how tricky he would be to beat, I'd imagine he could reach as much as 500 million. Luffy was lucky to be rubber. But like Luffy said, there all sorts of even crazier guys down on the Blue Sea. Ener would NOT rule it.
It really is too bad that Ener is such a fool. On the other hand, if he could have reached a 500 million bounty, it kinda makes you anticipate future adversaries even more.
-
If Ener werent an idiot, beleive me he has what it takes.
Unless the Marines have a Seastone lightning rod….that would fuck things up.
He's not an idiot, just overconfident. He actually expressed an interest in the history of Shandra, shown when he was conversing with Robin.
-
I think Enel should become a pirate. Being god must suck compared to being a scourge of the sea.
We'll see Croc again. He was too big of a villain to not be heard of again
-
I just got a random theory…what if Crocodile stayed so he can infiltrate into the World Goverment from its core? He is free from his seastone handcuffs and I'm sure he rather liked his former title.
But of course, theres some real monsters in the WG so he'd get his ass kicked most likely.
-
I hope Croc comes back. No OP villian since then has been able to equal him, he's the ultimate badass villian. Something tells me that when he returns he be more mellow, but I'm fine with that because Croc's so cool. Maybe he can start a new crew with his fellow BW members.
-

To address this, see:
Arlong is thematically dead.
…which is precisely what I was getting at. As far as the story goes, Arlong is never appearing again outside of flashbacks or talk, so he's dead insomuch as his influence on the rest of the series goes. Oda's desire to "not kill characters" isn't really as clear-cut as people say; from Oda's actions, he actually does have tendancies toward wanting to kill characters but he does so to not upset young children under the premise of "a failed dream is as good as being dead".
The only characters Oda has explitictly said are still alive have reappeared later in the manga, either in a ministory or the main story; everyone else's whereabouts are left a mystery. Oda evading the question of Arlong's situation indicates this; he's left Arlong's fate ambiguous and up to speculation, where young people assume he's still alive and older readers think he's dead.
Brilliant, I must say.

It's a pity for Monday and Mr.9, since they were interesting/decent characters and I'd have loved to see they get rewarded for their comeradrie in Arabasta. I agree, though.

Satori. I'm not sure if he's dead or alive, though; Shura definately is. I think Yama is dead not because of his spine being broken (since good doctors can remedy that, though I'm not sure about medical treatment in Skypiea…) since Spandam might still be alive after Robin did the same to him as she did to Yama. However, falling from that cliff probably finished Yama up pretty well.
I honestly can't remember what happened to Ohm; I'd better read up on it again.
@Fire Fist:
And that's about it. I can't speak for anyone in Enies Lobby/Water 7 arc until we get a bit further, but it's a safe bet at least Nero is dead.
I doubt it. From Spandam's words Nero was always messing up, and since Jyabura is a "nicer" version of Lucci (though still pretty savage) I wouldn't be surprised if he beat up Nero quite frequently. CP9 don't die that easily, as indicated by Enies Lobby fights; Nero's douriki was probably around Califa's, if not about a hundred or so points less.
-
I think Croc has a VERY good chance of coming back in later chapters. We have seen how smart he is. Also, on a slightly different off note. WHY IN THE WORLD DID THEY LET CROC KEEP HIS HOOK?? YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD REMOVE ALL DANGEROUS WEAPONS FROM PIRATES, ESPECIALLY ONE OF THE SHICHIBUKAI! Plus, Croc has the most impressive fighting record with Luffy. 2 out of 3 battles were his.
-
Would you rather let a guy keep his hook when he can't do anything with it, or have to look a guy with a bloody stump every time you approach the cell?
-
I'm just saying, a former Shichibukai member with any weapon sounds dangerous. Anyway, I think he has plans.
-
I dunno, I think Luffy's defeat of Croc changed him, hence why he didn't want to leave prison–there's nothing for him out there.
I think that Croc being badass and owning Lucci in prison is a little more likely. After all, Oda's wraps up the villians fates in some way, so I doubt that Lucci will get away with his life or freedom after this event.
-
Well, whatever happens, Croc doesn't seem to be worried in the least.
-
I think none of them will ever show up again.
They're all weak now… -

Dude, theres just no way a high class Government agent who isn't supposed to exist is going to be thrown in jail for being defeated in combat.

Ohara shouldn't have existed which is why the WG made up a lie about Robin. Maybe they'll just say he's a murderer or something and throw him in prison.
-

Except for the fact that he's allowed to kill.
-
Except for the fact that he's allowed to kill.
Well, the world doesn't know that! Despite blaming Enies Lobby on the SHs, the CP9 is still a loose end, after all Paulie and Iceberg has seen them–their identities are compromised. That's very bad for a secret assassin.
-
All I can say is, wait for the next side-story, then we shall know what become of our beloved sociopath and his cohorts. My guess is that CP9 recover sand goes on some more missions. Or it's based on what Kaku is up to.
