Japan Travel for One Piece Fans

Hey! I’ve been doing some research since I’m heading to Japan for a trip soon. Here are things for future travelers looking to do One Piece related events in Japan! These are events and places that aren’t limited events (which usually occur in the summer months).

Mugiwara Stores. Several of these throughout the country. They’re basically Disney stores, except for One Piece.
Jump Stores. These have merch from all the Shonen jump properties.
Kumamoto Statues. In Kumamoto, there are big gold statues of each of the straw hats spread around the city.
Toei Animation Museum.
For Figures: Tokyo's Nakano Broadway & Akihabara, particularly Akiba Culture Zone & Radio Kaikan.

There used to be a real life Thousand Sunny, but I think it’s not operational anymore. Same for the One Piece Tower theme park in Tokyo. Do you guys have any other places to add to this list for myself and future travelers?

Yeah, my mind and body are stuck in a time capsule so I'm still chasing after my dream of going to see Merry at Odaiba, which is now apparently Thousand Sunny, which is now apparently no longer in operation as you've said. That includes the real Baratie too, huh? Ugh.

I'll keep updating the first post as things come in and as I see things while on my trip. I'll be there for several weeks: Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka. Hoping to find more to add to this list. And yeah, there's always summer OP limited events. I'm personally kind of looking for year-long ones, though. (Or something that'll be active in May, haha).

Definitely could use a Japan local / Greg's help!

So, this year will be the first in-person One Piece Day event in quite some time. Previously they did stuff at One Piece Tower but Covid brought an end to those events....and One Piece Tower T^T I dunno if they'll have tix or something so...that'd be at your own risk.

The USJ show is a given but you gotta be ON IT to get those tix.

Anything more general to do regards OP in Japan to add to my short list above? Hopefully year-long things?

I highly recommend going up to Mt Aso if you are going to Kumamoto, it was one of the greater experiences I had visiting and you won't regret it. I think the Usopp statue is where you can take a bus up there. I recommend more than a day for Kumamoto alone, even if you drive.
You can catch the Sunny train if you want, it's pretty cool.
Shame the One Piece tower is closed, it felt like the definitive OP experience when I was there.
