What a disappointment Naoya turned to be, and here i was hoping but a cool battle like his father had

Choso is really, really growing on me, his little speech about big brothers was neat. That´s why I hope the author doesn´t kill him, but it will most likely happen eventually.

The Kubo Interview with a good translation: https://edomonogatari.wordpress.com/2021/03/14/akutami-kubo/
-
Kubo: I hate to say this in front of the man himself, but none of the female characters in Jujutsu Kaisen are my type. They’re all pretty formidable, aren’t they? When characters of the opposite sex get preferential treatment, they usually reflect the creator’s tastes, so that must be Akutami-sensei’s type.
Akutami: No, that’s just me taking the easy way out… I’m aware I suck at drawing women. In fact, I often put on the brakes before I create so-called “ladylike” characters.
Kubo: While your male characters come in all types, I feel like your women largely fit the same mold. Could it be that you have an aversion to creating female characters who conform to gender roles?
Akutami: That’s not quite the case…
Kubo: For real? And you don’t have a preference for the “strong female” archetype?
Akutami: Well, it’s not as if I prefer any archetypes in particular. If you were to ask me about my favorite female characters, I’d freeze up. Besides, I don’t know if the readers even want to see any ladylike or seductive female characters from me.
Kubo: I’m sure Jujutsu Kaisen readers are perfectly content with the current roster of women in the series.
How would you two respond if Todo asked what type of girls you like?
Akutami: I wouldn’t. He’d probably beat me up.
Kubo: I’d answer, “Busty ones.” Ah, that’s not my type in real life though. I only prefer big boobs on fictional characters.Don't change much of the context, JJK female characters don't appeal to Kubo.
-
Kubo: It’s true that I started to actively kill more villains during the Arrancar arc. However, those weren’t calculated decisions. I mostly relied on my gut, which I suppose was for the better.
Hahahahaha, my man.

! Kamo took Yuji's mother's body. And double agent Yuta.
I appreciate the updates you make to this thread, but can you make a note of this being the next chapter spoiler? I wasn’t sure what you were referring to in the post and I’d rather read the chapter than find out about it as a spoiler. Again thanks for all of the updates make, it keeps me on top of JJK.

well that certainly explains why choso is his brother. and possibly yuji's crazy strength

Tournament Arc
https://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/viewer/1008923 -
strong HxH vibes from this one
-
Doesn't feel much like a tournament, it's a straight death game.
-
Damm i wasnt expecting Brain to be actually one of Itadori's parents, wonder the reasons behind that
also who might be that guy on the same page as Tsumiki
-
Ah yes so this is where he was inspired by Bleach
-
Nobara might be my favorite from the series. Probably one of the most manly female anime characters I’ve seen. lol
-
No chapter next week.
Spoilers are beginning to appear. I hope we have more info on a certain status on the chapter than the spoilers tell. -
Volume 0 movie. I genuinely thought they would made The Star Vessel Arc a movie.
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-03-26/jujutsu-kaisen-anime-gets-film-this-winter/.171149 -
isn't it an one-shot….? is there enough material for 90 minutes???
-
4 chapters long, they can show a bit of the attack on Kyoto too buff some time.
-
First time I hear of Volume 0. Where can I read it? Also are there other things like Omakes?
-
“Volume 0” is Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School, what was supposed to be a one shot that stayed for 4 issues.
It’s basically, Yuta, Panda, Maki and Toge as first years.
-
Please go read Tokyo Metropolitan if you haven't, it's pretty good and there's enough time between now and the movie that your memory will erase parts of itself so you'll enjoy the movie like a fresh experience.
Anyway, it was a honour to experience this 24 episode anime ride of the decade. I can't get over how insanely good the adaption is and I'll probably rewatch it in a few weeks and then once more at the end of this year.
A lot of passion was put into this project and it really shows. I'm glad JJK got the recognition it deserves and I hope we'll still be around here for season 2 -

! Punished Maki, mark me as scaroused. And yo Tengen why you so fucked up?
-
I hope Maki's new design grows on me
-
I bet Kubo loves Maki's new look.
-
I'm only in doubt if she lost an eye or is covered with bandages…
-
Pretty interesting chapter all around, but Tengen design is a little meh to me, wich is weird because this series monster designs are usually pretty damn good (I felt the same way with Mahito´s perfected form)
I really like Maki´s new design, it reminds me of Mukuro from YYH. I hope Nobara also gets a cool looking scar, though Megumi´s expresion makes me worry a little, but I doubt the author would kill the heroine of main character trio.

Tengen's Q/A
https://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/viewer/1008925
! Hahhaha there's two objects capable to break the prison and Gojo destroyed one of them. Pro gamer move Gojo
-
The info-dump was a little heavy and the new character at the end of the chapter feels a little too convenient, but still a good chapter. I still don´t like Tengen´s design, but his personality makes up for it. Looking foward to the death game, a little weird that are aiming to get 100 points considering they will be killing other human beings, most of them being victims of brain.
-
Can anyone explain what the hell is happening these last dozen chapters, I’m so confused
-
Can anyone explain what the hell is happening these last dozen chapters, I’m so confused
Just like in everything else he has ever gotten involved with, Satoru Gojo was the MVP of the plan to seal Satoru Gojo.
The Kenjaku Namo has been articulating a plan to evolve mankind making them beyond sorceress and curses by using a culling game to create the conditions to utilize the non fused Tengen as a catalyst to do what he did in Tokyo to the whole world.
-
Actually he destroyed both. Also, I wonder at what age you grow your second set of eyes.
To be honest, I didn't understand most of the explanations, other than Kenjaku has some plan involving Tengen and the death games, even though he's not the GM.
-
Basically Kenjaku wants to make everyone evolve into curse/curse users throughout the world, like the chaos that is happening in japan now, by using Tengen because Tengen "has merged with the world" to stabilize his current state (if not stabilized, he will become humanity's enemy). So if he used his powers of cursed manipulation on Tengen (which is basically "the world"), the world gets fucked up too. Tengen merged with the world because the young girl vessel back in Gojo's flashback died and only one suitable candidate is available in, I'm not sure but probably five hundred years.
"Fate(cursed energy)" would have hindered Kenjaku and put his plans at a standstill if not for the abnormality that was Megumi's Father. Who is free of cursed energy(fate) and disrupted fate by killing the vessel girl which in turn created a domino effect leading into Suguru's defection(this is an important thing for Kenjaku's plans because of his ability: cursed energy manipulation that is needed to turn the world into Chaos).
Kenjaku then manipulated/control Suguru and obtain the Prison Realm (the only thing capable of stopping Goto).
Six eyes is op as shit.
-
F to all the Six-Eyes that got killed as a baby.
-
The anime and that my prefered vpn has 1.5 (or 2.5) free gb a month, and that viz is like 2€ a month let me catch on.
Nice.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
So, Gojo's sealing caused… 2020
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
It feels like he took all of bleach and naruto, and made a proper meal with those ingredients, with Gojo as haughty All Might.
-
Sprinkle a little HxH on the power system and you might be onto something.
-
Oh yeah, the mechanics explanation of "why do you explain your power to the enemy".
The thing is that they over repeat the"oh they explained their power to me, it means now it is stronger", but it is a very versatile style, you want your characters to analyse the enemy and show smarts? let them study it themselves, you want a clear and concise explanation? go to the weird interviews in-betweens, with examples on "how to slice an elephant in 7/3 ratio", you just want the wiki format? expose, you want a wiki format with a twist? expose leaving a loophole hidden.
It has also the chainsawman/last saiyuki (yup, that poor 20 chapter story) about the fears of the collective gaining strenght, that ties back to persona, and from there for sure to something else.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
The one thing that i really really disliked was that the goto plot twist required volume 0 for it to work, I got completely lost with that, believing that the inventory arc didn’t made sense.
-
Well apparently it was because the short series that was volume 0 got such great feedback that it was turned into a series in WSJ. I kinda of agree - also had reading volume 0 before been way into the series - Goto still kinda works, i think somewhere before shibuya it's mentioned that Gojo Killed him.
-
If they did, I skimmed over, I was under the impression that their last meeting was in the middle of that bussy street, and then the director asking him about why did Gojo let him go, while that scene was happening I was wondering "why did he kill him and then lie about it?".
Then I had to buy volume 0 to understand ¬¬, and it wasn't that good, I'm not sure how it actually fits with the plot. Is it half cannon? Is this new Rika something else enterly? Why Miguel has to suffer Gojo?
The one thing with "Gojo was the mvp on sealing Gojo", maybe he has a master plan as well, and it was convenient to get rid of the known curse erasure tools.
-
Miguel has to suffer Gojo because Gojo is Gojo and impose his Gojitude into others.
And maybe this time Rika is bound to Yuta not by curse but by volation.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Finding third year Hakari.

Oh, the HxHiest or World Triggeriest chapter of "lets understand the rules".
-
Someone on Reddit picked up the seventh-thirty on that last page as you know it, a hint to a power that our dearly beloved Nanami had.
Also glad to have you here maxter, I could see how you didn't really enjoy Zero but if Gege knew JJK would be this big he would probably do Zero a lot more differently.
I think he just really love Geto so he brought his design and mannerism back despite the possible confusion.
Turns out the fans love him too, I think he was number one in a popularity poll or something.Personally, I enjoyed zero because of the concept of Rika.
I hope you liked Hidden inventory, that was my second favourite after Shibuya. This chapter with its exposition felt like HxH but the last few pages felt like something out of the current HxH arc(that forever afloat ship)
With new characters(and this time distinctly middle age and human) and their monologues being introduced with different powers reminds me of the princes and their guards whenever they were introduced.
I like it. -
I also kinda caught the 7/3 thing, but there was a gintama character that said that all time https://gintama.fandom.com/wiki/Kurogoma_Katsuo and I guess it refers to something else.
I can apreciatte 0 for being cohesive in itself, but the fact that it seems like required reading outside the main material just sours me up to it, specially because it made one of the manga's big plottwist confusing. But then again, they could have said explicitelly that "Gojo killed Geto" and I missed it because they said it before I memorized Geto's name, or worse, his last name.
I'm here just waiting to see Nobara's new design.
-
These latest chapters have been great, thats what we needed buildup for a bigger arc now hopefully Hakari appears next week before the break
I expect Maki to get a really cool weapon from the Zennin and/or Juzo, and this new guy got Nanamin technique huh? wonder if he can achieve a TE.
-
I thought this band retired or something holy crap what a nice surprise
