As long as Diavolo doesn't punch a hole through Dio's bad leg.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!
-
-
Considering Diavolo can literally see the future and his ability essentially nullifies all of the World's effect I'm gonna give this one to Diavolo. He can just punch a hole through Dio's head for an easy win
-
King Crimson is possibly the most physically strong Stand in the series. It does in one punch what Star Platinum and The World need a lot to do.
The moment The World stops time however none of that means shit because DIO can Kakyoin Diavolo immediately.
-

Couldn't King crimson just skip over the entire 5 sec duration of the World?
-
He'd have to time it. It is not like he can activate it once time has stoped.
-
But he would be able to foresee Dio stopping time, as long as he knew what to look for. My question is what would happen if Dio could stop time for 12 seconds and Diavolo skipped 10 seconds of it? Would it skip immediately to then being frozen for 2 seconds? I imagine Diavolo would be able to do what he wanted during the time he skipped like always. But if he didn't manage to kill Dio in that time then he would be a sitting duck when time did freeze, but 2 seconds isn't a lot of time still.
-
Wouldn't Epitaph be used to see the future to avoid the time stop? Then Dio would get donut'ed brush it of as he is not a mere mortal and kill him. Or a '99 Dio, Egypt survival, with extended time stopping abilities be able to fully doge the time erasure?
But would King Crimson be able to identify time as being stopped,or would he just think that nothing happened the first time, resulting in the boss getting dount'ed?
Damn it all, what DOES work now?! -
Epitaph is basically worthless in all situations where Doppio isn't the one using it.
-
which stand is stronger stand platinum or this crimson king ?
-
@Cyan:

I'm convinced that Diavolo actively forgets that he has Epitaph most of the time.
-
@Cyan:
Bruno seeing his future/past self is still a fucking weird moment that never comes up again.
Like that weird flashback with Josuke and his mom being helped by present day Josuke in part 4.
-
In the end it wasn't himself but a random dude. Or universe displaced Josefumi.
-
Oh don't worry I've long accepted Araki loves to pull bullshit out of his ass that he winds up never really explaining to a proper degree if at all.
Plus the ambiguity of Mikitaka is an even worse mystery of DiU.
-
Certainty will lead to the death of literature, both because it removes the reader from the equation, and because the audience starts demanding it when its not needed. Like ketchup, you add it to make something taste like that, not considering at all the dish Bellow.
-
I also have to wonder if there's any people who started the anime that still think that Giorno is actually still the main character at this point
Abbachio literally tells Giorno to sit down and stop acting like he's actually involved -
I just want the memes when this ends of "and fugo?".
-
I completely forgot the part where Giorno makes a second Coco Jumbo.
-
I actually felt that made a bit more sense in the anime but maybe they just added a bit more explanation. Stands are biological to some extent, so if you could clone a stand user I suppose the stand might be cloned too. That's just another overpowered usage of Gold Experience though, and it's never brought up again like a lot of other stuff.
-
And why didn't the boss know the turtle was gonna suck him up if he could see the future?
-
The seeing the future thing might need to be somewhat intentionally activated. Though wasn't he looking the opposite way of the turtle-brooch? Maybe it has some kind of sensory limitation kind of like when you use your eyes to see you can't see all around you and only have a limited field of view.
-
Wasn't King Crimson supposed to be a short range stand? How were Giorno & the rest affected by King Crimson when they were outside and far away from him?
Goodbye Fugo, we will probably see a small cameo of him at the end in the anime unlike in the manga.
King Crimson look really weird at some point in this episode…
-
From what I could make sense the erasure of action->consequence is limited to the range but the timeskip is not.

The time skip is probably limited (I feel like if the whole world was skipping that would cause too many problems, especially for the boss who wants to remain unknown) but stand range limits and ability range limits are usually separate. The World is also a short range stand but the time stop is not limited for instance.

I think
! if that was the case Polnareff’s trick wouldn’t actually work. Diavolo most likely uses his stand very rarely for anyone to take notice. It’s not like MiH levels of timeskipping.

All time Stands are assumed to affect the whole world because it would just raise too many questions otherwise.
-
I remember-
! that Narancia is going to die at some point in the story
… but I completely forgot about Fugo leaving the group.
The seeing the future thing might need to be somewhat intentionally activated.
I am glad that King Crimson's ability is not passive hence needing activation; otherwise we would be having another Juha Bach that can only be defeated by the most inane deus ex machina.
-
If King Crimson can just indiscriminately affect everyone else outside of his range, it does make you wonder why he needed to get closer during the Metallica fight…
-
Diavolo wanted to get closer to Nero because, just like in this episode, he wanted to be absolutely certain he would be able to kill his target before revealing himself. He even says this during the fight. Even if the ability does have a range (which I believe it does, though time powers having a range is strange like other people have said), he was in range while fighting Nero a lot during that fight since in this episode his power seemed to affect at least the entire island with the church on it. He just wasn't confident he'd be able to completely finish him off until he was right up next to him. And like I said, even if the time power doesn't have a range, King Crimson's physical attacks do. He could skip time for Nero from across the battlefield but that doesn't mean he'd be able to pull off a good attack from that range.

I really wish there was a smash cut to a traffic accident caused by King Crimson's awareness gap each time Diavolo uses it

The English version of the new opening leaked. It sounds pretty cool. Will probably sound better in Japanese than with the Engrish vocals.
-
Tons of spoilers for animeonlies.
-
I absolutely love the palette change at 0:51, but letting go of Fighting Gold for this song was… a choice.
-
I like this opening a lot more than Fighting Gold. And the only real spoilers in it are showing characters and stands, which they already did with Fighting Gold. Also seems like Doppio was the person talking on the phone in the last episode, which is what I thought, but it was hard to tell since even the manga never really explained who it was.

Well that and the entire ending.
-
Fighting Gold was to good for us. So sad.

I absolutely HATED this episode.
Oh my god it was utter trash from the moment the enemy stand appeared.
I have neever felt so personally insulted by a story before. But HOLY SHIT this was the worst worst story I have ever sat through.
First of all, the main characters, that have been fighting crazy unpredictable stands for 24 episodes, are suddenly acting dumb and stupid for no apparent reason.
Giorno explicitly states that they should be on the lookout for enemies or their stands and then 10 seconds later they all seemingly can't be bothered to check and double/triple check the moment Narancia says he saw an enemy stand.
Secondly, they all stand around like absoulte idiots as Narancia's tongue is cut off and he's the only one who sees it as it laps around them.
Third, no one fucking checked what Narancia was pointing at. At some point Mista literally looks straight at at the Stand in a wine bottle and still somehow misses it? What in the actual fuck is this shit, are you kidding me.
Then, once Mista starts lying they conveniently start believing the lies like utter idiots.
Next, Mista would rather burn his goddamn hands, at some poor attempt to make him seem badass and noble in sacrifice, than find a way to show his team he was being attacked. I mean y not fucking use Lil' bomber to spell out the words or have it shoot shit anytime he lies or do something other than act like a complete moron who hasn't been fighting stands this whole time.
And then you have them not immediately use moody blues to verify what happened to Narancia's stand. Are u kidding me? they would rather moody blues the goddamn bathroom and not the scene of the crime? NONSENSE absolute and utter nonsense.
Fuck this episode. I hope this arc ends soon and dies in a fire.
-
Yeah I don't remember this fight being as bad when I originally read it. Maybe I just went through it fast and some of the stuff didn't bother me as much because of that.
-
Hey in their defense Narancia acting stupid is nothing new to them.
-
They removed the scene with Narancia using the pen writing stuff in his arm.
-

this is actually kinda important because it showed how Talking Head reversed literally all attempts at communication and not just talking iirc
-

This scene operated on the assumption that Narancia knows how to read and therefore was cut for being implausible.
-

Narancia had to learn how to read so he could tell Fugo what he wanted off the menu at McDonalds or else he wouldn't get him anything

New opening is good, but I think I liked Fighting Gold more. On the other hand, the new ending song is so damn fitting, especially with the Latin verses being contextually-appropriate. It's my first time hearing the song and it's awesome; now I'm off scouring for more music from Enigma.

I liked the episode but everything you said was spot on. There's just no excuse for any of the members to act like there was nothing wrong going on with Narancia especially with him saying "Did I really just say that?" and him covering his mouth every time he utters lies. The convenience is just off-the-charts.
Btw, you typed Mista instead of Narancia.
this is actually kinda important because it showed how Talking Head reversed literally all attempts at communication and not just talking iirc
It would have also justified, even just a little, why the other guys were so convinced that Narancia was speaking the truth.
-
Yeah, the group being oblivious and not thinking that anything could possibly be the work of a stand is a bit infuriating. However, that scene with Mista, Narancia, and Abbaccio kicking the crap out of the random civilian was so hilarious it made the episode for me. Also, the ending scene with the shark attacking Giorno was just something to see animated. As for the ending credits, it worked well but I was too excited that for the first time in a JoJo ED I had heard the song before those credits rolled.
-
If Bruno stopped the car every time Narancia was acting like a weird idiot we would still be in Naples.
-
@Cyan:

I feel like after a while, Mista's arm could fall off while the gang was driving and Bruno would just turn the radio up and let them handle it.

Wait
! Is Doppio the original and Diavolo the split personality or the contrary?
-
! Nobody knows. The only thing that's ever said is that the original's name was Diavolo but that doesn't mean that's the original personality. And young Diavolo looked identical to Doppio. Doppio apparently means double though so that might be a clue.
