That episode was really great.
Oh man…This wasn't marked as a final season was it? I breezed through the latest batch.
52 episodes in a 78 episode commitment. Dunno when the next season comes out.

Huh.
Man, they threw some money into that final fight.
Also, finally a season ends NOT on a cliffhanger.
They still have like 20 episodes to go though…. what the heck is left? Are we actually going to go into Queen Merla territory for the last season?
Regardless, this remains about the best possible version of this franchise given the premise.... and that might at least partly because they've focusing very little on the actual magical giant robot, they don't even feel a need to force it into every single episode.
! Also its nice to see that Lotor was still a villain to the end… but a villain that THINKS he's a hero and doing right. That's always way more interesting than doing evil for the lulz or just the sake of conquest.
Lotor.
! I don't recall much of the original series. But this version I was really rooting for him. I suppose he's still alive and that his mother will find him powered up and or insane.
Shiro.
! It's sad and very creepy they had so many clones of Shiro. I don't get why they needed so many. In the end his original body dying but his consciousness living on and then making his hair all white I suppose is okay. But it won't be the same Shiro who was like the worst D&D player lol.
Lance.
! I'm kinda glad it seems like Lance may actually have a shot with Allura and that she's at least a tad okay with the idea. It would be nice if they don't have to keep doing the jealous rival thing every time a new dude talks to her…
Hunk & Pidge.
! I feel like Hunk doesn't ever really get major plot stuff. He's easily the most drama free. But he only seemed to get some stand out stuff with taking control over the bickering Galra. Pidge really had nothing this season either. Her main stuff seemed mostly resolved.
Allura & Coran.
! Oh man. I felt bad that she actually kissed Lotor. There was no way she'd just accept his excuse of the greater good stuff. Coren is normally not the type of character I'd like but he's amusing still. I feel bad he had to blow up the castle.
Keith.
! He definitely had the most going on. But weirdly I wasn't fully interested in his plot stuff. Also Lance comments that he's bigger looking…I didn't see anything in his design that changed. I do like that we got some flashbacks about his mother's life but it seemed weird cause...Why would it pick those memories? But I did like that we got a flash of evil Shiro in the mix. I guess Keith is going to stick around as the Black lion paladin now. Shiro really should retire...
This season was pretty good overall. I'm looking forward to the next season.
I don't know how fair it is to judge this season as a "season" when it was just a handful of episodes clearly meant to be paired with the handful that came before it… during which other characters and plotlines got focus.

In a blink or you'll miss it thing
! They spent two years going through that time thing, rather than the… I dunno, couple weeks everyone else had. His design didn't change that much but that was there way of addressing that.
He wasn't much bigger but he was bigger.
! As for the rift picking that stuff, we can maybe assume he was actually getting weeks or months of info at a time rather than the two minute edited clips we were getting... and that it was picking those bits because that was the last time both of them were together.
! ...I just cared about the wolf.

! I suppose that all could make sense. I just wish they either chose to add a smidgen more dialogue about what was going on with the flashbacks. Especially since it was very one sided and it only chose her past and never did the future stuff again.
! The wolf felt extremely unimportant lol. Is it something that was in the original?
I just wanna know what are they gonna do with that cow once she run dry on milk.
And I don't know if it's just something the brazilian dub invented, but unless I missed something on season 1…
! Lance is cuban?

No, I just think it looks super cool.
I just caught up on the six seasons in 10 days. Thoroughly enjoying the show. I barely remember the the 80's Voltron. Wow, that season 6, though.
! TBH I am hoping Lotor stays a more complicated villain, I don't want him to be just another Zarkon with pretty hair. Though I guess his connection to Altea makes him a little more complicated by default.

Yeah, he said that in English too. And he has a bunch of siblings with Latino names. Apparently Hunk is Samoan and Pidge is…Italian? Not too many Italians with the name Holt....
Season 7 is out guys.
Episode 4 is the best episode ever.
And back to a 13 episode season.
Only got through the second episode, but only 13 episodes left per the original commitment.
Only 2 eps into the new run.
Wolf is my favorite character.
Aaaaand finished it.
! Yep. That certainly looked like a series finale. With that Thundercats feeling on it.
Daaaamn. That was a good season.
! I totally thought that the power source was gonna be Lotor. All in all that was a very depressing and kinda hopeless feeling season. But I liked the episode with the diety playing game show host lol. The little bit of giving Shiro a boyfriend and then having him die was sad. Lance and Allura having squishy feelings was nice. The additional characters weren't too bad. But jerkass pilot guy was kinda annoying. I wanted a bit more from the rest of the cadets. And the Admiral straight up sucked at her job.
! It does feel like the series could end there but it's open ended enough with just a few questions left that could be addressed. I liked the kinda Easter egg of where the lions all crashed on earth towards the end.
I was very pleased with this season.
Good season.
Once again they threw a crapload into the animation budget for the final episode fight.
! Don't get where the random last enemy came from or why it was so powerful though. I understand you have to do SOMETHING with Voltron and not just the lions but….

Last season airs Decemeber 14th.

Yup and yuuuuuuup.
So the voltron fandom on twitter thinks this last season was garbage. 70% of why relating to klance

As to be expected. There was a scene where I was pretty sure they were trolling those shippers lol.
I’ve only watched the first season of this show a while back (I thought it was fine, but not enough to keep up with), but I’ve always wondered why it’s shipping fandom was so insane, even compared to stuff like Naruto and MHA. It genuinely makes no sense to me.

I think the shipping in this show maybe had a slight chance with how progressive it kinda already was. So klance shippers had slight hope. Unlike Naruto or MHA. I think most of those fandom know there would never be a same sex couple. Personally I have somehow managed to avoid the toxic Voltron fandom. I've only seen snippets and heard tales. But I never see how bad it supposedly is.

Y'all remember how in 2015-2016 SU fans got a reputation for being a toxic fan base
Well voltron took the baton and ran with it. Besides the occasional death threat to the writers, there was a time where someone taking a tour got pictures of some future episodes and tried blackmailing the crew so they'd make Klance canon or they'd spoil the series (in reality the pictures were that big of spoilers) but just the gall. Idk I'm not gonna say it's all bad obviously but the bad ones are really loud on twitter especially.
This season….Hit me in the feels way harder than I'm comfortable with lol.
Ending:
! Damn that was one progressive end lol. Where did that dude come from?
Personal Journeys:
! I like where they all ended up but I still want to tear up when I think about poor Lance.
Silly Things:
! Hah. Friggin Chip.
Boss Fight(s):
! Good lord that was intense. Honerva really recalled up the kill count. Way more than I would have expected from a cartoon not really aimed at older folks lol. I kinda felt like I was watching a Final Fantasy bad guy at one point. She really felt unbeatable.
Aside from the Lance thing. I'm happy with how this ended.

Kinkade? Huh. I need to find a screenshot now. I thought this dude was different looking. Oh that was Curtis. One of the other pilots.
Oh yeah. The guy in the chair.
Well, that was overall, far better than any reboot of Voltron had a right to be. The characters and story and animation were all solid throughout. They especially threw a crapload of animation budget at things when they got to season finale fights, some of those were super impressive. Still miss that the original theme song didn't work in any way… though they did do the occasional "dyno therms connected" and callbacks to the old show, explicitly so in the last season, but in such a way that it was never going to impede the new show. Fantastic run. Was it really 100 episodes in just a little under 3 years? Crazy.
It helps that, aside from the basic premise, they weren't beholden to the old property at all. Outside of the names of about a dozen characters and the presense of robot lions that turn into a bigger robot, there wasn't much being forced through from the old dated property. They felt free to go in many directions and do things with characters that just... didn't happen before. And they didn't feel the need to force a voltron transformation and action sequence in every single episode, and instead focused on character. (WIthout going through and doing a real count, I'd say Voltron as a full robot only appeared in maybe 20-25 of the episodes total, mostly the climactic fights)
It's not gone to the top of my favorites list, it's not the best anime, or even the best giant robot show, but it was definitely solid. A reboot absolutely 100% done right.
Can't wait to see what this studio does next. Hopefully an original property next time.
As for the actual ending? They got a little heavy on the technobabble and callbacks in the last bunch of episodes. Mighta been fine if I'd just gotten through marathoning the whole thing over a couple weeks, but over three years some of it was a little "wha? who was that? What's going on?" But overall a solid ending.
Can't wait to see what this studio does next. Hopefully an original property next time.
Does this counts?
Video unavailable?
Oh. I guess it's because it's not available on Canada.
EDIT: Nevermind, it's a website issue.

That is neat, as far as expensive 4 minute pitches go. Doesn't count till they make it an actual show though.
I like the cat.
I finished the series today.
To be short: it was a great experience, I enjoyed it much more than the original series.
The old one was childish, this had the perfect balance of fun and drama.
The series must be praised for its high quality art and animation, the action scenes were awesome!
The cast and range of characters were fantastic too.
I am pretty sad about
! Allura's death, but at least it really meant something.
Shiro's thing was a bit forced, but it wasn't a big suprise after Korra's ending.
And one last thing:
! I find it a bit strange to see Lance end up alone…
I watched Adventure Time too, and Finn had the same fate.
Both characters voiced by Jeremy Shada.
Interesting.
Shiro's thing was a bit forced, but it wasn't a big suprise after Korra's ending.
The thing about Shiro was revealed way back in the previous season tho.

Yeah, I know about that.
That's why I said it wasn't a big suprise.
It was forced, because no other wedding has been shown besides Shiro's.

! Well nobody else got married? Or seemed to wind up with anyone in general. And Shiro kinda needed a happy ending that didn't revolve around becoming commander since Voltron wasn't needed. I thought it made sense for him to have a romantic happy ending.
Finally got around to watching the final season. Didn’t realize the parallels this would have to Into the Spider Verse. Fitting given the producers are going to work on either the sequel or spinoff.
