any plans for working on whole cake island arc?
Zou 01 will have Chapter 801 added before Whole Cake continues.

Is onepace.net down?
Whoa, haven't been here for a while. It's so great to see how much you guys have done,Dressrosa is done,so is Zou and Wholecake is on its way.Thank you,you are the saving grace for One Piece :)
By the way, what is up with the website? In the last few days it was often down.
I'm not sure about the site. Every time someone mentions it, I check, and it's up.
Guys you are heroes! The anime is so much better when watching One Pace. In my opinion you should focus more on the new arc, the old arcs are pretty good and are not far from the manga. The new ones in contrast are horrible and the episodes have way too much filler moments in them.
Love your work, keep it up!

i believe they have to wait for the OST to be released to do new ones.

The OST has been released since the end of July. We were finishing up Dressrosa first, and now we're adding Chapter 801 to Zou.
After that, Whole Cake Island will continue. Syrup Village will conclude sometime soon as well, because Feeso is the editor on that part of the project.
Damn, finishing Dressrosa One Pace version is like the end of an era. It's crazy to think about how long of an arc this was and the ramifications of that on our fandom experience. When I started watching One Piece in early 2013, I didn't know it then, but the Dressrosa arc had already begun in the manga. By the time I had switched to the manga and caught up with the story, in fall 2014, the long conclusion of the arc was just picking up with Law's flashback. It was a really exciting time to have caught up just in time to experience that part of the arc as it came out, but the Dressrosa arc wouldn't finish until almost a full year later, and the anime of course finishing the arc in 2016. For so long Dressrosa was pretty much the dominant experience of "current One Piece" that even now it's shadow looms large for me. Of course, people who had been into One Piece far longer, or those who caught up later & experienced the arc after it was already done will have had a much different experience, but from 2013-2016 Dressrosa - for all its good and bad - was One Piece. Just a random thought lol.
Great job as always guys, I'm really excited to see you take on Whole Cake Island!
Good thoughts Rocko. Yea, seeing as it was the current arc at the time I "caught up" Dressrosa will always have a special place in heart, but it has it's fair share of problems.
On an unrelated note now that's it's finally over I've deleted all my old Dressrosa edits during that awkward era where the team wasn't working on them any more. So all those links will be dead. I might go through and delete or edit them later when I have time.
It's been a long time since I wrote here last time…
Still haven't seen the finale but I'd like to celebrate you on finishing the 2 years long Dressrosa arc.
Something I noticed while watching Syrup Village 04, Kuro's "WHAT'S WITH ALL THIS!!!?" shot.
Couldn't you just use the original shot then fade back from white screen to snoring Luffy?
I'm sure the original Kuro's expression looked a lot more dynamic and also pretty faithful to the manga.
Or does it have something to do with technical stuffs about scene changes?
Off the subject, but the episode reminded me of how CRAZY the direction/animations looked in Episode 14.
I watched it on TV in real-time and Kuro really creeped me out.
A big thank you to you all guys!

The fade felt really off being in the middle of the episode and I couldn't retime the lip flaps due to the zoom out, so I felt using the other shot was best.
Good job as always guys!
Always looking forward for your work.
When do you plan on working on whole cake arc?
Keep up the good work

When Zou 01 is released, Whole Cake will resume.
I think i remember you guys saying that the funimation download has the music on 1 audio channel and the voice/SFX on another audio channel Were can you download the funimation files? What editing software do you use, and how do you get both audio channel to apear in the editing software.

You can find torrents on nyaa. Cloaknsmoke rips are probably the best recent rips.
You'll then need to demux the mkv to mp4, making sure you leave the English 5.1 track checked.
Then just drag that mp4 into Vegas, And you will see the tracks.

What's on what track, how many tracks? Is it 2 tracks with music on one and voice/sfx on the other?

You will be able to tell in Sony Vegas by deleting the tracks and seeing what remains.
Cloaknsmoke unfortunately hasn't uploaded anything since the timeskip.

I still have all those edits both the single and combined episodes, those were dark times
Any upcoming episodes soon?

Any upcoming episodes soon?
The Zou 01 redo is in the QC phase.
Syrup 5-6 are both timed and will be released in the next few days, along with the entirety of the Syrup Village batch.
Thanks for the fast response. Really appreciate your hard work.
I know u said whole cake comes after zou redo, so any rough idea time wise when will that be?
Sorry for the many questions.
I decided not to watch the anime version of whole cake and wait on ur version since it's 10 times better

When the Zou 01 redo is out, we'll begin work again on Whole Cake, so it'll be about a week.
The plan has changed slightly, though. We've decided to change our naming scheme (again) and have the releases be [One Pace] Chapter xxx-xxx [720p][crc32], with arc batches still being named the arc.
We made this change so that we can edit the latest episode, and then go back and conquer the backlog. We'll eventually apply this to all of our older edits as well, but this is to let people know about it before it comes as a surprise when the next release hits.

I noticed that the other week when I was going through Fishman Island on the site. Caught me off guard when it happened. I really appreciate the work on this. Found out about One Pace a couple weeks ago after catching up with the latest episodes and finding myself wanting a "kai" cut when I got to Luffy VS Sanji parts 1 and 2.
Thanks for the heads up! Just curious, but what is it about the Zou cut that made you guys decide to redo it? Also, is a Marineford cut on the works at all? You've done such a good job with Thriller Bark (tho Bink's Sake filler is a soft spot of mine lol) through till Impel Down, I eagerly await your completion of the Summit War Saga, whenever ya'll get to that.

Zou 01 is being redone to include Chapter 801, which we didn't include with Dressrosa.
In general though, there are some bad cuts throughout Zou that I'd like to fix someday. It's going to be limited to the first episode, for now, but the entire arc will see second versions of each episode at some point in the future.
Marineford has not been started yet. It will be done when the editor for the section, Sewil, has the time to do so.
Have you finished those whole cake island episodes?

Chapter 35-39 has been released. Under the previous naming, it would've been Syrup Village 05. Chapter 40-41 will follow in the next day or so.
http://onepace.net/2017/10/21/chapter-35-39/
Edit: Here's Chapter 40-41: http://onepace.net/2017/10/21/chapter-40-41/
That finishes off the Syrup Village Arc. Expect a batch release in the coming days that uses the new naming conventions, and it'll also include some minor fixes within the episodes themselves.
Thanks for the latest releases <3
I don't see the Dressrosa batch on nyaa. Are yall patching (v2'ing) some episodes before release?

You can find that batch on our website's watch page. http://onepace.net/watch/
No V2s are planned anytime soon for Dressrosa.
Oh okay. Thanks!
Will you be uploading or re-uploading the Baratie Arc or Arlong Park Arc?
We have not worked on those arcs yet, and they aren't currently being worked on.

Thank you very much for your hard work, this is much appreciated.
One Piece anime has become pretty much unwatchable lately. Horrible pacing, too many dragged scenes.
It would be very nice if someday we were able to watch One Piece in its entirety in a format that was more faithful to the manga. That goes for newcomers to the series as well as veterans as myself who may want to re-watch the series without the unnecessary stuff.
One ark I would personally really like to see done by you is the Jaya-Skypiea ark. I see that you have done the first few bits of the latter. Is anyone actively working on it right now?
Thank you very much again for all your efforts.

Unfortunately, nobody is currently working on those arcs, but they will be worked on in the future.

Oh I'm sad to hear that, but nonetheless I'm looking forward to when the project will be complete and we will be able to have the whole anime in a shortened, unbloated, more faithful to the manga version.
Thank you very much for your reply and once again keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to all your future releases.
As a non-manga reader, I found the new naming extremely confusing. Not sure what was wrong with the old one?

The point of the new naming system is so that episode file names aren't tied to arcs. People are free to put the files in any renamed directory they please, whether it be a saga, a different arc name, or whatever else.
The benefit for the team, is that we can edit the newest episode without worrying "Oh, is this [Arc] Episode #10? Or is it [Arc] Episode #9?" Even if we pinpoint it down, it could change later once we catch up to the backlog, depending on if we have to make any 3 chapter paced episodes because of Toei.
Arc batches will still release and have all the chapters bundled into folders, and the site still indicates which arc is which, but it doesn't make sense for the old file names to exist anymore if we're trying to do the above.
Chapter 801-803 (Zou 01 revised, with 801):
http://onepace.net/2017/10/24/chapter-801-803/
it makes sense, in the ideal of making the episodes a bit better as well. depending on the story flow, merging more or less chapters to make neater episodes is also a valid idea.
if we didn't have lip-matching issues you could do so much more to speed things up, worry about cake island being a gong show as well. I do like when you manage to splice together reactions shots in artsy sequences so you see them all at once, instead of each 10 second pan of shocked faces
how goes it on the drum/garden batches?

when are the episodes/chapters not tied to arcs?
the entire one piece series can be separated into arcs.

"Episode file names".
For example, "Dressrosa 01" becomes [One Pace] Chapter 700-701, which is more akin to how the actual anime does it. It's not "One Piece Dressrosa Arc Episode xxx, it's One Piece Episode xxx.
We also want to be able to edit and release the newest Toei episodes, while also releasing the backlog. With the new naming system, we're able to do that, and don't have to "guess" what Arc Episode # it is.
I see you guys are use 3 digit for chapter # which is good for anything below 100 naming wise but shouldn't you guys be using 4 digit as we are already getting closer to chapter 1000.
@AMT:

I'll worry about that in ~3 years.
I will remind you in 3 years then

how does the old naming prevent you from doing it?
how does the old naming prevent you from doing it?
Because we have to "guess" the episode number. And that's impractical to do because there could be changes as we edit the backlog.
If we "estimate" 843-844 to be "Whole Cake Island 11", and then we have to make 2 episodes 3 chapters when we do the actual backlog, we will then have to rename that episode.
Having it as simply "843-844" prevents that from happening, because the chapters usually stay consistent.
