@CosmicDebris:
They didn't' teach sex ed in my school until High School. We had a video little thing about puberty for girls in sixth grade, but that's it. XD
I started teaching myself about through books and stuff (and porn :ninja:) when I was 11.
The story of how the GSR learned aboot sexual education.
My school was deeply christian, so ANY discussion of sex was considered sinful. So for most of my middle school years, I went around just learning from what others classmates secretly told me. When I was in the eight grade, I went down to my grandmum's house where she had a few penthouses out. After getting caught looking at them, my parent's sit me down and asked my to tell them what I knew aboot sex and they would fill in the blanks as best as they could. This went on for aboot three months, I asked and they told me, or my father would show me in a porno. If he couldn't fully discuss it. Many people would consider these actions as weird, mainly since I was around 15 at the time and my parents would buy porn to help me understand. I believe one reason why they done this was because my parents were never told aboot sex, and in effect, my father could never follow his dream of becoming a professional wrestler since my brother and I was born.
I look back and thank my mum and father for doing that to me, many of the people that I gradurated with now have children and such, I remember hearing that at senior prom, condoms were being handed out by the high school nurse but almost all of them were discovered unopen in the trash later.
Honestly, no matter what religion or race you are apart of, sexual education should be taught in schools, and at an early age. Something that I have only hinted at in a few previous post I will reval here, my little cousin was raped by a twelve year old and she is just six. The 12 year old said that he watched a porno and thought that all girls were sluts. His parents should of explained to him aboot sex before he got to be so old. Maybe then, my cousin would still smile.
Something that makes me mad is when personal opinion outweighs education. Since a lot of the horrorific things that happen in the world now could be at least halfway prevented if people took responibility and tried to educate people over sexual dieases. Look at Africa, one of my friends who is a missonary went overthere to spread the good word and the things that he told me after he got back just made me go damn. Woman would be there one day then missing the next. They would have sick children that had STD's all over the church hospital because the parent's left them for dead.
Sorry if this has been a long post but I just figured that I should post my opinion over this whole topic.
