But…Deadpool again for the next one? That's...odd.
I'm not surprised at all. He's a very popular character in today's geek culture lol. His matchup might be Dante, the Mask, etc.

Moving faster than the eye does not mean he's moving close to light-speed.
Zoro has dodged and reacted to bullets and close range cannon fire. He's also able to fight on par with CP9 members who move that fast casually.
Which was also before timeskip, his jump in power since is huge.
On the issue of timeskips and so on, some people complained that Erza didn't get any post-TS feats taken into her equation. But I can't really tell whether or not her powers have scaled up since then. She wasn't affected from the 2nd origin unlock from what I can remember and her feats in battle since just seem to be something she's always had. I could be missing some indications of new powers, since my reading of Fairy Tail for the past few years has been less than enthusiastic.
"I will claim this bounty for my guild! For my strength! For my friends!"
"Bring it on! You're not the only one who fights for their friends!"
That single makes this entire battle 10/10 alone.
Also, I guess you could say that the difference between Zoro and Erza is that Zoro came from One Piece…
! And he's going to stay in one piece.
!
And Deadpool's opponent is…
! Pinkie Pie :P
! Anime fans tend to get the most salty when their guy loses. Goku c Superman, Kirby v Buu etc. I was expected cataclysmic saltiness from the Fairy Tail community, but they seem to be taking the loss well. They pretty much all agree with the outcome.
I knew Zoro would win, though. I don't know much about Erza, but Zoro's just way too powerful to lose to someone not Dragon Ball-tier.
^
Hell even dragonball tier fighters like yamcha and krillin couldnt do shit against Zoro, lol.

Eh, I wouldn't go THAT far. Power scaling actually suggests that they're at least Ginyu Force level at the end of the series. But I don't want to get into BS power level discussion with a series like Dragon Ball where you can only rely on statements and vague power comparisons with little visual difference by the Frieza saga lol.
Lets be honest, readng into all these fantastical series based in no way on any real life logic and making battles with some "research" is a pretty dumb idea in the first place. Putting up characters from totally different properties just doesnt make sense and is purely fan fiction anyway on who is gonna win, done by the creators of such videos.

I hope that you're not finally realizing this now lol. I just watch Death Battle once in a while to get entertained by the animation what insane calculations they delude themselves into thinking is even plausible for the creators to consider when writing their series. All in all, it's good fun and people shouldn't take these too seriously.
Except for Gaara vs Toph. That was a load of BS lol.

You need to see MatPat's videos one of those days.

They could just have gone with Crocodile if you think about it.

I've seen that suggestion a few times. But there's no tension in such a fight because of Crocodile's intangibility. It only amounts to whether you think Gaara can manipulate a being made of normal sand or not. If not, it's just a stalemate.
Fight was way to short and somehow they didn't seem to has much as fact use for the scalling as usual. But mostly the fight was short and not that entertaining.
I thought it was well animated overall. I would give 30 more seconds of weapon clashing.
Also, it is really hard to try to scale facts on a FT character when Hiro himself doesn't give proper explanations anyway.
It was good but I just thought the fight was way too short.
Well I for one enjoyed the fight. At least it was longer than thier latest DBX which was ultra short as hell (and half assed).
You think the 'Too Many Pinkie Pies' episode will come into play with this fight?
You lie. If not . . . . .
It's 100% real! It was confirmed in the latest episode of Deathbattle cast (which will be uploaded to thier YouTube channel sometime today).
Edit: Here's the episode. They announce the match up at the 29:10 mark.

Oh no, I always knew it didn't make sense. It's just that a lot of people take this way too seriously and try to bring up their facts on why one character should win etc. and it is always hilarious.^^

The salt is indeed hilarious. I will never not be amused by the ridiculous calcs that people make sense out of while the author's thought process was just "let's make this guy faster than a blink because it's badass" lol.
Exactly, lol.
I mean if you think about it, Batman is unbeatable, because all you need to say is, he planned for everything already. xD
It's especially hilarious when there are done overly complicated calculations about gag series or gameplay-driven video game universes - which basically are completely defined by the Rule of Funny.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfFunny
Like calculating and then arguing how powerful Yoshi must be in order to turn Raphael the Raven into a stellar constellation. Or basically any calculation about Kirby. Of course, he is that universe busting monster destroying planets with his bare fists and having suction as powerful as real-life black holes.
Exactly, lol.

Well, that gets into a whole other discussion about battles. Whether prep time is allowed or if they are random and/or first encounters. Because Batman had actually lost plenty of times against villains for his first fights, most notably Bane. But if he has prep… Yeah, he is kind of God lol. But without it, well, that's why Spidey beat him in a previous Death Battle. XD
Erza vs Zoro was kinda lame though, it was too short and not really that exciting animationwise. Wish they would have done it in 3d or better 2d animation. But probably would cost too much.
The animation was top-tier actually and I don't think this would be anywhere good in 3-D, I can already see how ugly Erza would become. Also as though these calculations seems useless because this universe isn't like that universe, it is the sole factor that makes Death Battle leagues away from Cartoon Fight Club, One Minute Meele and their own DBX. At least they are making these fights based on something instead of putting two similar fishes to kill each just because people wants to see them fight. I mean, if we were to go by Boomstick, Doomguy would have beat Master Chief.
That was f**king glorious hahahaha
! I'll admit that I knew it was gonna end in a tie (since all the joke battles in this series do), but I still enjoyed the hell out of this fight!! XD
! I do wish it was tad bit longer though.
I… I'm speechless.
Oh that's a pretty widely requested battle I look forward to it
Ooooh, the first female adventurer vs her male counterpart.
A shame this wasn't made a reality in PS All-Stars, but at least Death Battle's making up for it. Looking forward to this.
Yeah I figured they would go with this match up. A highly requested one indeed.
I'll definitely be looking forward to this! :D
Speaking of highly-requested battles, I do hope they do not make Sora VS Pit because GOOD LORD this matchup makes no sense at all.
Ooh, now there's a matchup who's time has come.

I've read online that one of the reasons it gets supported is because Square fans want revenge for Link beating Cloud.
A great Death Battle to start off the new year!
! Scrooge McDuck? I hope he's pitted against Howard the Duck, that would be a legendary battle to remember!
I have no idea who his opponent could be (though my Skype friends assume Wario),
but Scrooge is a certified badass. From reading just one article about him I already found all this:
! >!
!
!
!
!
And Scrooge's opponent is…
! Shovel Knight…Didn't see that coming.
And Scrooge's opponent is…

…
Wait is it because of the pogo attack? Sure shovel knight collects money, but I think it because of mcduck used a cane pogo attack in the ducktails game.
That's awesome now that I think of it.
I was really sure his opponent will be Mr. burns…
But Mr Burns is like a twig.
The show constantly mocks how frail he is. He's like Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Grandpa.
Grandpa: "Some thieves broke in and stole your cards!"
Yugi: "And then they attacked you?"
Grandpa: "No, there was a slight gust of wind and I fell over!"
I am not even mad.
Like there was any doubt.
Not that I don't love the loser of this battle.
How does this even makes sense?

…Bane uses steroids called Venom. My God. They're actually going to do such an obvious mismatch fight just because of a pun. At least Batman vs Spider-Man and Quicksilver vs Flash make sense thematically despite the results being obvious. This is just sad.
How does this even makes sense?
!
…........................
They can't be fucking serious about this. O_O
