The people who have been able to survive now have the God Tongue, the main enemy's daughter, on their side. Training and improving your cooking under them will surely matter in the long run.
They needed this to have any sort of chance during the exams coming up. Also a big morale boost etc. This mattered, alot actually.

but the exam is not about they becoming better chefs..it's about conforming or die.
they still decided to not conform,so they are still as fucked as before..sure they are gonna partecipate instead of maybe directly avoid the competition,but they can do nothing on their own..either azami's plan has some faults on its own,or there's no way they can win..apart from maybe repeating over and over the same thing souma did with the corrupt officials during the last shokugeki (the "you bad guy are gonna make it a fair match because of pride",with the difference that this time the big bad guy is actively aiming to take them out of the picture,and will probably not accept that. -

The first years are highly skilled so their dish will not be inferior. Erina doesn't need to train them. But Central wil deliberately point faults with it and get them expel. Simply because the first years are rebelling against them.
It's a comform or die situation.But as the God Tongue, if Erina say their dish meet Central's standard, what can Azami say about this? Azami assume that Erina will be supporting him but she's now rebelling against him. He can't expel her so he is in a dilemma.
But it is likely they may go the "food is too good that Central can't resist and pass the first years". I hope not since it's lame and Azami look like an utter joke. Also, seeing Erina telling her dad to f*ck off will be glorious.

It's truly great that Erina is getting a lot of character development. But I really don't care at this point.It really all comes back to Azami and the fact that the author neglected Erina as a character for too long.
Also, even though I know Soma x Erina is the end goal, I really am so meh for them. And this chapter was full of them. -

I got a feeling that Tootsuki just wanted to plan a school trips for their students BUT the school motto require them to expel people for every school event. So they decided to combine the school trip with the final exam for the heck of it.
I know it just started but this arc seem more interesting & going back to its root than the previous sub-arc…Hopefully, it is at least entertaining and fun like the training arc. But Azami is still around...=.=

Hi. Here's another one who still enjoys this manga as much as when I read the first chapter. I don't mind Azami at all because dude is lost in his revenge, and you certainly cannot expect anyone who's hellbent on that to have a reasonable cause for any of his actions.
