Nobunaga is an Enhancer and he has been mentioned as one of the expendable members, so i guess its something simple.

So the raw is out here:
http://www.mangamint.com/hunter-x-hunter-357-0
! So my first theory about Hisoka holding back and having some form of regeneration came true. Second theory relating to it being a clone (after it looked like his main body was done for) was not true. Overall theory of Hisoka holding a huge amount of plot armor holds strong though. This is probably leading to a Hisoka vs Chrollo rematch where Hisoka wins though. If Chrollo wasn't going to kill Hisoka in the last situation where everything was going for him, he has absolutely no chance in any sort of a rematch scenario.

That is not raw.
It´s translated (at least right now). And can we stop with that bullshit talk that "Hisoka was holding back"?
The conditions weren´t favourable, but that´s because his opponent created the perfect scenario to limit Hisoka´s offensive option.! Hisoka lost the fight.

well, it seems Togashi is going well. He's serious about running a marathon then
-
Let's go back to the Zodiacs Togashi:getlost:
This chapter was hilarious, the circumstance of Hisoka bringing himself back is crazy.
When I Think about it, I hardly did care about the Phantom troupe to be honest… except for Chrollo,Nobunaga Bonolenov, Uvo and Phinks, so I'm not really bummed about the death of Kortopi and Shalnark. -
Kortopi died as he lived…I guess.
-
Hohohoho, this is getting good!
-
Marvelous, such a magician way to trick the audience. And now a killing spree, this boat ride is gonna be fun as hell.
-
so, Hisoka having a plot-shield is confirmed. he suffocated, hahahahahhaaha. did he thought before using his bullshit technique "nah, it's fine, I'm not gonna explode, I'll just die due to the lack of oxygen"
and
Hisoka : "hey, nen. my dear friend ! Would you bring me back to life after I die please ? that'd be nice. "
nen : " yeah, sure. "and wtf is going on with Machi's reaction ? "hoy, so you're not dead. ok. "
but well, I'm happy we're gonna move on from this fight. next chapter let's go back see the Zodiacs or whatever but not Hisoka again.
-
Well, that was friggin cool.
I´m not bummed out about this outcome. It´ll make things more interesting towards the end of the DC arc.
-
and how does he intend to make sure his opponent isn't deciding where they will fight ? It's gonna be on this ship right ? aren't there even more people in this big boat ?
anyway, I hope he'll die there ( yeah I know, he can't, he has a goddamn plot-shield ). He's probably gonna be greedy and will want to fight Kuroro and Gin at the same time.
-
and how does he intend to make sure his opponent isn't deciding where they will fight ? It's gonna be on this ship right ? aren't there even more people in this big boat ?
I guess he'll ambush them, maybe some of them before the cruise? He can take on any appearance with texture surprise anyway, so being on a boat with a lot of people is actually an advantage.
Wonder what Kurapika's gonna think about all this.
Edit: btw, this whole situation is completely insane, the possibilities in this scenario are huge. -
and how does he intend to make sure his opponent isn't deciding where they will fight ? It's gonna be on this ship right ? aren't there even more people in this big boat ?
Because he is going to be attacking them randomly.
-

Wonder what Kurapika's gonna think about all this.We don't know if he can change his face actually. But yeah, Togashi has pretty much confirmed he can by saying he intended to use something similar in the story while talking about a guy using this technique in Hisoka's OneShot.
-
Now Hisoka kills Kalluto to get the Zoldycks involved while Gon decides to go on a cruise to recover from his above average traumatizing childhood and Killua embarks just for the sake of getting away from all those weirdos…
-
Hisoka pretty much ripped off Uchiha Madara's technique.
-
What I liked is that Hisoka was genuinely thinking he was gonna die.
About his nen.
| i dont mind the hearth and lungs revival. But to constantly have 2 nen powers activated, is fuccking intense. unless the texture is a one time use and he keeps his arm and leg always activated with the gum, kinda like aokiji with his leg.
| -
Hisoka's Bungee Gum stuff is all Nen, right? So what happens when he cant use Nen or something? Do his wounds reopen?
-
Wow… I'm literally speechless... No hidden last move or super special mode. He just got curbstomped. I must admit that the way Hisoka came back to life was very contrived. But after that was literal fireworks. I appreciated that the first 2 he went after were the ones who's abilities played a critical role in his defeat and who were essentially defenseless.
I assume that this going to turn into a 2nd free for all on the boat to the dark continent. Between the war of succession and Hisoka's hunt for the spiders, I feel bad for the civilians on that boat haha.
edit: Also, I just realized that the call Shalnark couldn't answer was most likely Chrollo calling back after realizing that Kortopi was dead.
-
There is Gin on this ship. Beyond Netero will also be there. Don't know how big is the ship but it's gonna intense be anyway. The best arc of the manga !
-

Yes he has to keep his nen turned on indefinitely or he'll revert back to his original state
-
I don't have an issue with how he was brought back, he was gambling.
He basically deduced how he was going to die, programmed his nen to give him cpr/shock his heart, and hoped his body remained intact enough for it to work.
-
I'm okay with this outcome. I was not expecting for the retaliation to being so soon lol. He might regret leaving Machi alive later..But he seems to actually be fond of her.
-

Just quoted this one kind of randomly as im catching up to the thread but a couple of things 1. Gon and Killua were already said to be fighting geniuses with incredibly rare potential as stated by Wing as well Hisoka.
2. Hisokas revival doesnt set any new precedents that Kites and to an extent Pitou's deaths hadnt done already. My only gripe is that reviving his heart and lungs shouldnt make him anything more than a brain dead puppet, depending on how long he was dead before his nen kicked in his brain would be killed due to lack of blood and oxygen flow. His body not being blown to bits makes sense given that he protected himself with nen and the bodies of the puppets acted as a buffer but the bodies and the combustion effect of the explosion sucked away his oxygen. Other than that though it was obvious that Hisoka wouldnt be written out of the story so easily. And of the first two victims it was Shalnark and Kurtopi, Shalnark has some character but Kurtopi isnt much of anything. No big losses yet lol. -

This makes me think Uvo and Paku have been replaced by new members since I don't think he wants Machi dead. I think your right about Machi liking Hisoka any other Spider would've killed him straight away. I mean she wasn't in his toy box like the other Spiders, and Hisoka seems as interested in Machi as he does Chrollo. Hisoka must be the person that the Spiders have ever hated. If weren't for him Uvo, Paku, Shalnark and Kortopi wouldn't be dead, wouldn't lost his nen.
-
Machi is the only other thing that maks lil'Hisoka goes schwing
-
So Togashi really let both of them live? Dissapointement indeed.
I'm not really sure why Hisoka is chasing the spiders. Doing something out of spite doesn't really seems to be his style and he has no particular to want to kill them all.
Phone guy is dead. I kinda liked him.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
He should have killed Machi if he plan to kill them all.
-

A man gets his priorities straight when he comes back from the dead.
-
The resolution was pretty weak coming from an author who likes to explain everything to minute detail.
-

He wants to weaken Chrollo, so he can fight him again without disadvantages.
EDIT: Art quality is all over the place once again. It's nice at the beginning, then bad at the middle and slightly better at the end.

He still wants to fight Kuroro but this time he will not let him prepar for the fight. And he has a thing for Machi since Heaven's arena, he will save her for last, and also he needed some spider to pass the message to the other.
-

Well, maybe he intends to fight Chrollo again, so he intends to weaken him mentally by killing his friends/partners and also reduce his reportoire of nen abilities.
It's rather suspicious that Hisoka killed Kurotopi and Shalnark first, cause Chrollo used their abilities the most during the fight with him. -

The point is, there doesn't seem to be an obvious merit in letting her live just to pass the message. He could have passed the message any way he wanted, including killing her and writing it on the wall with her blood.
Btw, still not sure why he didn't let her stitch him up a bit. Now the whole troupe, what's left of it, knows he can "regenerate" himself.

They were the closest?

He's got a soft spot for her, not unlike Gon.
Doesn't mean he wouldn't kill them, but he would rather keep them around.
-
Togashi holy fuck that was brilliant
- he died (which is true)
- he survived ( which is true)
-
I guess the real battle is just about to start for Kuroro and Hisoka. But it has to be on the ship or DC when the remaining Genei Ryodan will assemble.
Just a feeling that the heart/lung massage trick at the end wasn't really that much of a gamble. Based upon Hisoka's personality of enjoying analyzing his opponent, to the point of casually letting himself gets gravely injured, that must be his trump card and he probably already used it before this.
The nice thing about this ability is that Nen always gets stronger after death, which kinda makes him the saiyan of HxH in a sense. He can do what I assumed new feats with his power now like the replacing/regenerating destroyed body parts thing.
He probably wants to hunt every genei ryodan asap to stop them telling others about his ability to revive after death.
-
The only reason I voted for Chrollo to win the fight is because of the way it was set up as a fight to the death. I agreed with everyone who said that Hisoka is a better and more interesting character, but he is also more transparent. He's a creep who gets off on fighting worthy opponents. He's a fully realized character and even though he's great, it wouldn't be that weird to kill him off to reintroduce Chrollo into the story. It would have been weird if after all this time of him being away, he returned only to immediately get killed by Hisoka. Even if he used some kind of trickery to escape death, that would have possibly been even worse. "I agree to your challenge, but let’s make it a death match, oops I lost, but also I’m still alive somehow." What a threatening villain!
Chrollo is still a bit more of a mystery and there are a few more things to be revealed about his motives, not to mention his connections with the rest of the Troupe, Kurapika's beef and even Meteor City (and possibly Gyro!) Hisoka seems like more of a monkey wrench to throw at the story at any time to make it more chaotic (nothing wrong with that!) Also, in the event that both of them survived the fight it's way more characteristic for Hisoka to be the one to cheat death, although that's probably the hindsight talking.
Now this boat is going to be an effing bloodbath. Looking forward to seeing that in a year and a half or so!
-
Hisoka nen got even stronger now right?
-

He's a sociopath. There isn't much sense in letting her live if he plans to hunt all of them anyway. Unless he meant everyone but her.
-
Poor Kortopi
-
Now I'm just confused at the narrative point to this. Is Hisoka spider hunting because he's salty now? It seems really weird for him to pick up that slack from Kurapika. At least now we're starting to see how this all relates to the upcoming dark continent stuff, but the fight still feels wholly unnecessary, unless the point was to get Hisoka made about spiders, which I still am not sure if that was something he was planning on doing anyways, or only now that he was beaten like a noob. Neat fight, but plotwise, this is about a ¯_(ツ)_/¯/10 for me.
-
Hisoka using nen to replace his missing limbs make sense given that this scrub could do it too.
-

Hisoka is likely eliminating them because if he doesnt theres a chance that Chrollo could borrow some of their hatsus again making him very difficult to defeat, that was the core lesson learned from essentially dying once in their previous fight: dont fiight Chrollo when hes the one who controls all of the terms of the fight. This was also illustrated by the one scene of Chrollo ducking Hisoka until he gathered more abilities (the no way jose scene). As for Machi he obviously has a soft spot for her which may come back to bite him later on or he'll kill her near to last.
Plotwise it also serves to get Hisoka involved in the DC plot and setsup possible Kurapica team action.

I completely forgot about that guy.

My personal theory is that he wants to keep his ability to revive after death a secret. The genei ryodan confirmed his death with their own eyes. Other folks could just treat it as he simply survived the explision. It is a sweet ability that can make him stronger everytime he dies.
That neck injury is suspicious though. He protected everything located lower from it.
-
For some reason Hisoka using Bunge Gum to stop his heart reminded me of this.
Jojo Spoiler

So how does letting Machi live fit in that theory? Especially since she's the only one who knows he can pull a trick like that.
