On the subject of Kira, I assume that the Duwang anime will be split into two parts like Stardust Crusaders was. I wonder where the break will happen; do you think we'll leave off on the cliffhanger of Kira?It also just hit me; April 1st is the anime debut. All of the subs and streams will be entirely in legit Duwang translations. April fools.

Immo, the last episode of the first part should be
! Kira´s first appearance and Shigeki´s death.
It´s pretty much in the middle of the manga and it sets a perfect tone to the second half of the series, since it points towards Kira being the main threat of the manga, being the assassin that killed Ghost Girl and Ghost Dog and is competent enough to kill one of the MC´s friends -

!
Josuke looking fabulous as ever.
-
What a boss.
Between him and Swagamoto, there might be too much swag this season.
-
Opening art cover
!
-
Have they somehow further upped the inherent fabulousness factor? Josuke is looking incredibly swag on these pics.
-
I think it's more dandy than swag.

Question guys, I have the manga of part IV but I'm debating if I want to watch the anime first so no spoilers or just read the manga first to appreciate the upcoming anime more. I can't decide…
And is there an exact release date yet so I can plan for it? I'm in eager anticipation I've heard this is one of the best parts of the whole series!!
-

It can work either way. The main reason I would say read it now is there will probably be discussions when the anime is going on what to expect for later parts, so if you want to be a part of that then reading the manga would be good. If you just want to talk about the actual episode then you can just wait. Advantage is if you decide you really want to find out what's going on because the anime is going too slow, you can start reading then.

Gahhh_,_ what will probably end up happening is there will be a break in the anime and I'll break down and read the manga. Once I start getting some JoJo in my life, I can't stop watching/reading until it's done, kind of like when I first watched the first three parts. It's so addicting and high quality stuff. Plus they'll be spoilers galore.
-
Read it now and read Duwang. All other ways of experiencing Part 4 are false.
-
There's also the fact that with the manga of part 4 already being completed those week and sometimes two
week long waits would get to be too much leading to you reading the manga anyway. -

But what about the inevitable Duwang subs?
Duwang brought to life!
…actually, imagine a special Duwang dub. That will never happen. I made myself sad.
-
Im not a big fan of the Duwang version, sorry guys.
-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! Amazing news! Glad I held out and didn't buy the crappy WB DVDs!!!!!
This does raise a few questions for me tho…
First, being Viz I HIGHLY doubt this'll include dubtitles like the WB one did, but did Viz confirm this at the panel? I mean, the only reason I could see them NOT doing this is if there were some kind of deal with WB where the P1-2 set has to be basically a repack of what we got before or something. Dumb requirements from licencors happen often. If you buy the Fullmetal Alchemist Blu-rays from FUNimation, you can't watch them in Japanese without subs. If you change the language to Japanese, the subs are locked to activate and can't be turned off. They did this because Aniplex didn't want Japanese fans importing the US Blu-rays. Similar restrictions could be in place with WB.
Second, assuming that's not the case and Viz is Free to do whatever they want, will they just reuse the dub at least or will we get a competent redub?
-

Who knows, maybe a special feature in Viz's home release?
-

That would be too expensive for a joke track.
-
Duwang subs wouldn't be too expensive lol
But no way they do that regardless.
-
Awesome news about more Jojo Omnibus are coming. I only got the first volume of Jojo, Part 2 omnibus, but I like it a lot. I'm also happy that Viz is going to release the anime release the anime. I'm wondering if they going to rerelease season 1 (Jojo parts 1 and 2) to fix the problems from the Warner bros release.
-

I'm talking about a Duwang DUB. Like them doing a whole alternate voice track with English voice actors saying lines like "ABAJ" and "I get a feeling so complicated".

The announcement apparently does include "Season 1" in the release, but no word on exactly what they'll be changing yet. being Viz, I ASSUME we'll get actual subtitles tho instead of dubtitles.
-
I will say I enjoy the dub (I borrow the dvd set from a friend of mine). I admit I held off getting season 1 was mostly because of the subtitle problem. But I'll get the new release when it comes out, since I don't mind waiting for it. Lol.

Chapter 52 is out.
The payoff to Araki's slow build-up is tremendous. Jojolion has been great throughout, but ever since Damo-san has appeared and the flashback began, it has been reaching all kinds of new heights.
-
Man Josefumi is such a likable character!
-
! Shouldn't damo's buddy have turned to stone and drowned when he fell into the water?
-
Damo might be the biggest asshole in all Jojo's multiverse. And that is something with Cioccolota in the group.
-
Damo ain't no joke.
-
Damo… this dick is extremely important.
-
That was a really good chapter. The one thing that weirds me out about all of this is that Damo seems to be the leader and yotsuya and the other guy seem to be his next in power. But like, both of them got killed pretty quickly. Heck even the twins got pretty messed up pretty fast. I would be surprised if Damo got away in the present day with what he is doing scott-free so who is the big baddie of all this? If damo dies now there is no enemies except maybe the beetle guy and how he is connected.
-
There's plenty of opportunities for it to be someone higher than Damo running the show.
Jobin could be the final boss for all we know
Or the stone men we know now could be reporting to someone higher up (why would you necessarily need to go out there personally to deal with some guys who stole some of your product?)
Or it could be Jesus.
-
Kars is coming back.
-
@Purple:
Or it could be Jesus.
-
Or for all we know, Josephmi could end up facing the ultimate hidden boss, Higashikata Jodiavolo with his stand, King Crimson
-

King Crimson: Lizards, which can cut out any moment in time but only if that moment in time involved the user, the user had not been hurt, the ground the user was standing on was solid, there are no large rocks in the vicinity, three birds are sitting on a tree branch nearby, the user ate a waffle for breakfast that morning, and finally only on Tuesdays.
-
Luckily he only goes out on tuesdays, after the right breakfast, and has a flock of trained birds to espectate his battles, and a wrecking crew to destroy any pesky rocks.
While yeah, Damo is being pretty high on the food chain, there still is the elder son of the Jojolight family.
-
Very impressed with these last two chapters. This Damo mothafucka is really, really scary. Nice character interactions between Kira and Josefumi, btw, and some clever storytelling, mixing present day and flashback. These chapters have honestly done more for me than the rest of Jojolion in its entirety.
Now, if someone could tell me what does Jesus' corpse have to do with all this, cause right now I can't fit it into the puzzle.
Edit: Btw, shouldn't Josefumi be at least a tiny bit concerned that Kira might have blown Karera to smithereens? We know she's alive, but they don't, right? And for all we know, Josefumi shouldn't be ok with it, right?
-

Johnny Joestar kinda brought the corpse to Japan to cure her japanese wife from an illness similar to the Higashikatas, but in exchange it tried to took away his son, George, and for saving both of they, he took his own life by crushing his head into a boulder. Kinda like that exchange thing that the Rokka Fruit does it…Yeah, being the first Jojo sucks.
-
There is the possibility that the corpse's ability has made its way into
- the Wall Eyes
- The rokakaka fruit
- the magic leaves
- Josephmi
- The Stone men
- The stone dog
- Jobin
- Amestris
- The gate of alchemy
- Jesus Christ Superstar

Yeah, but Kira seating on his deathbed is a more pressing situation right now, she's probably a afterthought.

Yeah, I mean, we had the whole backstory, and I liked it, but this whole conflict seems to ignore that, or at least directly ignore that, maybe indirectly it might have an effect on some stuff, but the way the presented and placed that flashback it seem that might take center stage. . .

But the Rokakaka fruit grows on a completely different island, and we're supposed to believe that it existed long before the corpse arrived on Morioh, right?
Another thing is that, at the end of the day, it's Araki, so I'm sure he'll forget tons of stuff and/or leave stuff unconnected. . .
Yeah, but Kira seating on his deathbed is a more pressing situation right now, she's probably a afterthought.
Yeah, well, but it's still blowing up an innocent onlooker in order to create a distraction. . .at least in the heat of the moment (pun intended?) he could've made a little remark? Oh well. No big deal, I guess.

All the more reason that the corpse may or may not be connected to anything on the list

Today I finally ended part 7..WOW..It all started in 2008 and in the end it was a great epic story. Some minior tings about part 7 that I like to point out:
Even if the center of the story was Johnny and Gyro, I would love to see other characters getting developed, like Tim or Pocoloco, especially the last one since he won the race but didn't get any highlight after the race was over. I already said that everyone had a good reason to join the race, but now I will say that everyone had a reason to get the corpse parts, even Funny Valentine and why not, even Diego. Talking about Diego, it was a odd feeling cheering for him in his fight against Funny.
Great flashbacks, even for minor characters, but sometimes we were introduced with information that didn't result in nothing, like Hot Pants knowing about Dario Brando or George Joestar showing in the end of the race to give the boots to his son or the future of Soundman's tribe.

Glad to see you ended up liking it so much.
What did you think of Valentine? Hero or villain?
