Glad to see you ended up liking it so much.
What did you think of Valentine? Hero or villain?
As Johnny said quite nicely, Valentine was a better person that him. His motives were right but the way he choose to "grab the napkin" was erroneous, just like Pucci in part 6.
Yeah, SBR suffers from Araki's lack of planning and disregard to any side-plot set in motion. Still, I think it is JoJo at its best and overall almost perfect. The big two flaws, in my opinion are:
! the way Sandman was handled with the whole Soundman bs and the fact HP was killed without ever achieving anything (even her death served no purpose whatsoever).
The first race was the biggest flaw of SBR.
I feel I should read part seven again with fresh eyes. After marathoning the first 6 parts and kept going till I caught up, I think I was really getting fatigued so I started to pay less attention to an extent. I don't remember that much and I'm not as impressed with that part as most people here seem to be. The premise was neat and there was some great stuff, but just didn't stick compared to other parts. Still better than part three and five at least for me.
This part seven talk is cool and all, but
It's arriving today
3 hours until it airs, someone ought to post A STREAM LINK
Hype is unbreakable.
ALMOST.
I finally managed to finish Stardust Crusaders anime. Just a few minutes before Diamond is Unbreakable begins, too. Now that’s a relief.
It took me two whole years to return to it after getting burned out by the tedious non-Egypt arc, so I was very weary approaching it again. And yet, it turned out to be a mostly enjoyable watch. Sure, the problems of the third part are still there. The supporting cast is just as underused with exception of Polnareff. The stands are far from what Araki develops them to be in the following parts. Jotaro is still not the most engaging protagonist to get the majority of the screen time. And yet, only the Seth fight was outright bad and only the Thoth gag was stretched to three episodes. The rest, even at its worst, was at the very least entertaining.
Abdul, after his great return in the Judgement fight, sure got the short stick of this part, but even then he was great against Bastet. The same can be said about Joseph, but he also does very good against both D’Arby brothers, showing a glimpse of his glorious part 2 self. Iggy, despite being a dog in an Araki manga, is still a standout. Most of his appearances are wasted on not very funny gags, but at the same time Pet Shop fight is one of the most chilling and ruthless in the whole third part. Fucked up bird, that he was. Polnareff is my mvp of the third part. He even makes the cheap gags work. His action bits are the best bar none. And he is probably the emotional anchor for this part, the whole Vanilla Ice fight is just a huge tearjerker. Poor Kakyoin is written out right in the beginning, and returns only to die, but I will be damned if his stand against Dio isn’t one of the most iconic sacrifices of the genre. Music helps it though, because even if it’s not as good as the 2012 anime, Kakyoin’s soundtrack is the best in this part. Jotaro himself hogs too much screen time, and to absolutely no one’s surprise, it helps him interact with most of the cast, have varied fights and develop a character. He is such a nerd underneath all that cool facade. Have to mention the D’Arby brothers again, because both of them help Jotaro show off in some unusual ways. And the Dio finale, well, it’s iconic for a reason, not much to say there, although I do think it is more engaging before the angry lesbian part of the fight.
Stardust Crusaders still is the weakest part in the franchise, but for many, many other stories this is still a height they struggle to reach at their best.
Now on to part 4. I really hope it proves to be not as challenging a show to enjoy.

Decent quality stream here.
Josuke's voice was just so much better before.
What has me hyped rigth now is if the new opening was shown, I'll get excited for the actual content later.

Don't expect it.
Neither of the previous ones had it up in the first episode.
What a fantastic first episode.
No opening and ending to nobody's surprise. But the episode itself was satisfying all around. Pace seems good so far, they made a few pages into the fourth chapter which is a little faster than Stardust Crusaders first episode.
Also, David Production couldn't help themselves and added a Rohan cameo already.
What a wonderful duwang.
Great episode! Next week we'll what they have done with the op and end

Yeah, I remember, but I wanted it now, not next week. Oh well.
Great episode, david didn't disappoint.
Did anyone recognise the song that played while Jotaro was in the cab? I think that might be the ending.
Awesome. David delivered. That breakfast scene intro though, lol. Totally caught me off-guard.
I went WTF when Josuke punched through both the woman and the hostage-taker. Been a long while since I read the manga so I've forgotten about that part, but it was a good WTF.
The music is great
I think the music from when Josuke got mad about his hair being insulted is his theme
I really hope the 1st DiU Anime Soundtrack is not like the SC Destination Soundtrack cause the Destination soundtrack felt like the team in charge of mastering it were are on drugs or sloppy for a good chunk of the tracks.
But considering the 1st Episode…
It was well done, I really want to hear the DiU OP soon but I know we won't hear it until next week.
Right off the bat, we have Kira foreshadowing…and I'm already in love.
We have another week to guess what will be the ED song lol
That intro.
Great episode, Josuke being amazing can't wait for next week.
They really changed up the names and dialogue of the Duwang anime. How the hell did they get Koichi Hirose from Guanglai Kangyi?
The hype is real, though I don't look forward to what will happen in the next episode. I remember one of the reasons why Josuke was awesome besides his great hair, which is how he has to be creative with his stand to actually do stuff to people, such as putting the knife in the guys stomach. Only thing is how it felt really forced with the girls explaining that you shouldn't insult the hair. Seems to be redundant when we had three other examples this episode letting us know this one quirk. Beyond that I feel this is going to be epic.
Liked it .
The episode starts and I'm like, "oh they are showing me Josuke's mom making breakfa… oh snap".
Dat foreshadowing indeed. Also was there a Rohan cameo I missed, or is someone just trying to prank me?

yea they did do a shadow cameo tease of Rohan

It must be copyrights!
A Grandmaster Flash song for the ED would be neat.
A beautiful breakfast Duwang… chew.
Can barely wait to next friday.
What a solid episode. Ive read the first couple chapters of the manga so in my opinion this episode moved kind of fast. Still great though. I really cant wait for next week and the opening theme debut!!
Watching the episode now. Outside of Kira, I noticed the mention of the radio tower, which makes me wonder if that was the Superfly tower
I just watched and… I forgot how much anti-social Jotaro is, he scolding those girls seems pointless in my opinion.
Another weird thing was the continuous change of colours.

Just imagine going hippie mode and watching this on shrooms/acid. Itd be cool/scary lol.

Well the manga did random color changes. But these seem to be tied to mood.
But man I love how stylized this series is. The backgrounds seem even more manga like.
Those black shadows they use to censor are still annoying.
Wasn't just Rohan..
Oh wow
! That is like 5 different character cameos. Well done David Productions. Also I see some people think that's Polnareff because of the hair but it is not, its Keicho Nijimura
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
So I did the maths and it seems like episode 25, which will most likely be when Part 4 goes on break like part 3 did, will be:
! Sheer Heart Attack. If most story lines are 2 episodes only and then some like eat Italian Food, Actung Baby and the Lock are only 1 then they can end it on the fight against Kira with Jotaro and koichi, which would make a good season finale imo.

They have a lot to cover. I expect most storylines will be two episodes long like with Stardust Crusaders and then a handful that are just 1 episode.
! Yeah. Ending with Fatty's death seems fitting.
! Next week's episode doesn't have the (1) after it, so Angelo will only take one episode. However, they might only cover 4 chapters because the last chapter of Angelo's fight is only exposition regarding Keicho. I think they will end next week's episode with Angelo turning into a rock and start the third one presenting the arrow and Keicho. Just my two cents.

! I was counting this episode as well as part of the Angelo fight seeing as he is introduced. I think the Lock, Actung Baby and Tonio will all be one episode long as well. Maybe the shape shifting guy? I'm not sure.
This episode was perfect!!! Seriously, I loved everything about it.
Well, almost everything, I think Josuke and Jotaro voices lacked emotion when needed. I don't know if the VA are the ones to blame or the voice director (?), but I hope it gets fixed soon.

! The Baby and Tonio will surely be only take episode long, because their arcs are only 3 and 4 chapters long in the manga. 5 chapter arcs (Echoes/Lock, Surface, Ratt and Reimi) are trickier. In Stardust Crusaders they (Alessi, Hol Horse/Boingo and Petshop) had two episodes each, with a little bit of filler and rearrangement (Hol Horse/Boingo started with Shooting DIO!?, Pet Shop ended by presenting Young D'Arby). I think that one single episode would be too fast, and that they'll give those arcs at least one episode and a half: so the same episode will end Echoes/Lock and start Surface, and they will dedeat Ratt in the same episode they find Reimi. Either that or they put in some more filler. I wouldn't complain.

Fire emblem is not one those, that's for sure.
