At first i want to laugh at your post, because of the spoiler. but hey!!.. i didn't see it's coming!
actually it's japan airlines company logos, with describing of Red Crowned Crane..
The crane is actually japan national treasure that known as a symbol of luck, longevity and fidelity. and said to have a life span of a thousand years.
that's describing the historical story of poneglyph still exist after 800 years old.
1.The Red slab means red crowned.
2.The bird is the crane.
3.and the sun is decrypt as japan rising sun flag.
so the main theme of the red poneglyph will lead to the japan historical theme.
if not egypt… hehe..
if it's japan then wikipedia said, "the Cranes are said to grant favours in return for acts of sacrifice"
maybe we should concern of these lines..

@W:
i am a little embarrass that I am Egyptian and I didn't think of that myself ,,,this pic blong to "HOURS THE FALCON GOD" her in Egypt he was a national patron god.
and here's the thing HOURS's father OSIRIS was killed by his brother to roll instead of him, and HOURS was a kid back then ,long story short, HOURS came back to take revenge.
it's an Epic story though
OMG can Oda be quoting from this story?
Yeah. What bugs me is the meaning of this ancient symbol.
Maybe the stories will lead to that very tale.
I wonder what next is.
