ok I'm just stupid I guess, how do you get rid of those mobs on Level 30 (!) Stamina on Stage 4? I'm always on bind for 4 turns.. meh
Level 40 I didn't have those problems and just got rid of them with "misses" when I attack the sea stallion first with gold pound ussopp.. why am I struggling I don't get it
One piece treasure cruise (7/11 Never Forget)
-
-
Those mobs have ridiculously high defense but only 4 HP. Just miss the attacks and you're done
-
thanks, do I miss every attack or hit the first perfect and then miss the others?
-
It doesn't matter, just focus first on the stallion, start with GP Usopp and miss all the attacks. All characters have a combo of 4 or higher so you'll kill the mobs, that stage is made to "trap" people who hit Greats or Goods. The fourth stage of all the raid bosses is almost the same
-
so no matter 30 or 40 stamina it's the same (in every raid). Thank you luffink, I have much to learn :P

not on every raid, some have 5 or 6 HP on stage 4

I'm gonna put autoheal no mihawk. his teams are the one that need the most, and most subs have 2-3 slots, and antichain/silence only needs 20.

45 copies of mihawk…ONE lock reduction socket...ONE
this game hates me

Keep trying. I went a couple hours straight without a single reduction, then got 3 back to back. It's tricky. Definitely recommend farming like 5 and then using them.

i kept going..result has been the same though..i'm clocking at 10 gems spent and around 60 copies farmed..still ONE lock reduction…really this is starting looking delibrate..especially once i got pretty much all the other sokckets and most of them 2 per times
-
Farmed 20 Mihawks, but I still need 9 levels more for his skill… let's spend one or two gems, see if I hit the level up and call it a day

Question, buds:
I've accumulated a good amount of gems, but I don't have any good STR characters (not even Arlong) other than alvida 1.0, which I'll be evolving soon. I've been using Chaka with a slasher team all this time.
Should I:
A) do a few pulls on the upcoming higher STR probability period?
B) wait for the next sugofest? -

Should I:

B) wait for the next sugofest?Depends on exactly how many gems you have. A lot of the time it seems best to wait for the next STR sugofest (which should be pretty soon) but both the sugo and STR boost seem pretty marginal in terms of anecdotally tested results. I'd go for 2 or 3 pulls now and save the rest for a sugo.
The other important thing is that you don't REALLY need to have a full rainbow team as long as it works well together and you have a good captain. As long as more than half your characters can hit any color for at least neutral, you're fine.

Good advice! Well, as of right now I'm still plodding through story mode (just made it to arc maxim) so having strong characters of every colour is kind of essential to me right now. I don't have any good all-rounder captains and I'm basically depending on friend captains, so yeah. But once I get through story mode I can see how I wont really need a rainbow team.
Im scared for when I get to the enel levels ahhhhhh
-
I'm pretty sure next sugo will be STR. QCK will be ending the same day the Facebook event will be ending, so by any means if Shanks 6* and Ace SW are related to next sugo, it will be just after the event. They can only reveal them and do a sugo on the last day of QCK but it looks unlikely because they would need at least 1 or 2 days before to announce inside the game.

I usually only pull during Sugos, but when I was first starting out, I did the occasional YOLO pull.. it either works out or it doesn't. :\
-
So, been playing for around a month I guess. Thought I was out of my newbie phase but…
Just did my first ever raid thing with 30 stam Mihawk and ended up one-shotting it pretty easily(and he dropped!) with a g3+g2 str team, but I feel like I missed something on how to handle that fourth wave. From what I read it just says to auto-attack them and they die, but it seems they had more than 4 HP and I was left with 1 mob up. Luckily I killed the purple guy first so Usopp didn't get bound, but yeah, any clarity on what went wrong would be appreciated.

Oh no way! Well, I'd be happy to get him alone so I'll do just that.

Gotcha, thanks!

Only 44 copies, at this rate I don't think I'll have enough to max Mihawk without some insane luck. :(

The mobs have 4 HP but the seahorse has 6 HP. It's typically recommended that you kill the seahorse first so you can ensure you hit it with a character who has a higher combo rate. IIRC the game usually autotargets it last so I'm guessing you hit with G3 Luffy or something and got tripped up.
-
Just to be clear, why do we let it miss on the mobs: when the enemy has too high defense, like the mobs in stage 4, instead of doing our attacker's strength as damage, we do the number of combo hits as damage. Since the mobs have 4 HP, any character will kill them because the lowest combo hit in this game is 4 hits. By considering someone who has 4 combo hits, if you do it Perfect, he will do 4 damage. But if you do great it will do only 3 damage, because you hit the other character too soon and the previous one didn't have time to finish his combo. If you miss, he will do 4 damage because he had time to perform all the combo. Since Usopp GP has 6 combo hit, just aim the elder sea horse with him, and let all the other mobs for the rest of the team. This wouldn't work if the enemies had 5 HP.
-
Or rather, it technically could work at 5 or 6 HP each but is unlikely to because most of the strongest characters you'll be using have lower combos.
-

There was no sea horse though? Just 5 dudes.
I understand the logic behind purposefully missing. It was just that it… didn't work as everything said it would. I'm thinking that the 30 stam Mihawk 4th wave mobs just has more than 4 hp for some reason.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Okay, actually had to go digging but apparently that wave does indeed have 5 hp each on 30 stamina. So that explains that.
-

Oops, you're right. It's 5 guys with 5 HP each on 30 stamina. I suppose you need to prioritize who can be locked for a few turns if you have more than two characters with 4 combo hits.

Yeah, I had killed the purple dude and green guy so no lockouts, just had to eat an attack. Mihawk went down hard and fast before he could attack though so it wasn't a big deal. Just nice to know I wasn't messing up or going crazy.
Actually took a decent bit of digging to find something to corroborate my experience since most of the guides for 30 are just "same as 40 but easier."
-
10 gems used,65 copies farmed,1 lock reduction orb acquired..basically wasted resources for nothing other than a couple pirate levels and green turtles..
-

He will always come back. Took me 2 times to max special and this recent time to max his socket. Just save them till Tuesday's skill up event and pray to RNGesus!

At 51 copies now. Ima prayin'!
At least I have been doing decent on GPU books. Got 10 so far. -
I wasted like 7 gems for 4 Mihawks in total due to my nooby playing style, but at least I've got my first Mihawk now! :)
Just now I saw the princess turtle thingy and got my ass handed to me right away. I don't have the team to get her. :/
Is that zweo-defense Helmeppo the one that drops from story mode or do I have to wait for the CobyMeppo fortnight event? Because story Coby turned out to be a big disappointment when I evolved him. ^^ -
2 or 3 gems spent+a snail refill+ a level up=28 Mihawks. I think the best achievement today is that I managed to not screw up even once.
Now… let's see how the Princess Turtle goes down.
EDIT: the characters in the strawhat event are totally random, right? So far I've got one Sanji and THREE Choppers
-
Fifty Mihawk's later….
My GP Usopp CD socket is done too. I'm considering starting GP#2 and Mihawk#2 :\
Oh, so YOU are Strings Pirates, you are the oldest captain in my friend list and I've used you Mihawk many times (I'm [TGC]THOSE PIRATES). :)
I used some gems on Mihawk too but got only 4 lock reduction, I didn't have time to play more. Funny thing is that if I had gone for matching orb I would have maxed him easily.2 or 3 gems spent+a snail refill+ a level up=28 Mihawks. You can quit the quest and redoit. I've done this to get Luffy or Usopp.

Well, I don't care much in this case since I wanted sockets for Monster Chopper, but it's annoying anyway.
1 gem, 4 tries, 0 Princess Turtles. God bless the RNG. Anyway, back to Franky
-
Got the 365 day, didn't know I was playing since day 1 (or so it seems)
!
Used 2 gems and got 3 Princess Turtle. What character should I give them to? There aren't any INT raids, much less I have Rayleigh xD

Weird, I was sure I started playing on the first day (or at least as soon as Bamco Europe announced the release on Twitter) and I'm still 5 days behind. And neither my "anniversary" or yours coincide with the official one XDD

i have a few questions for socket skills. let's say i managed to activate reduce lock duration :
1. do i need to activate the skill after i got locked or will it activate automatically?
2. will it work if multiple char got locked?
3. is it once a battle only or you can use it everytime you got locked?im curently farming kuro for gp manual and then i will farm afro for usopp socket.
-
This turtle Princess is BEASTLY!!!

1. It activates automatically once one of your chars gets locked
2. It reduces the chains of every character once they got locked
3. Everytime one character gets locked its duration gets reduced.Still farming Lucci and Kaku and they won't drop again. Man, I want those 2 evolutions so bad…

weird, I thought the aniversary was on the 8th.
I'm very close, I actually missed log in some days in the begining, and started playing on the third day :P

soo.. does that mean that unless the enemy locks you for more than 3 turns, your team basically lock-proof? (assuming you got lv 3 lock reducement). does the same thing applies to despair reduce skill?

As long as you get the 20 points YES.
That's why these 2 sockets are so beast. -

That's why these 2 sockets are so beast.I wanted to focus on the Heal UP but now the Despair Reduction sounds a lot more attractive, specially in 2x HP captains. Gotta remember that when I use my Doffy duplicates next week
-
The game release in USA was day 8, but it was released some days before in Canada.
Congrats Plaubflfoy, I'm still 6 days behind.
I got lucky, got 2 princess in 2 runs, but now all I want is to farm Luffy and Usopp. I need anti-silence lvl 1 for Aokiji, but still didn't get even 1 of that. At least my Usopp already has 3 anti-lock.
-
I've run out of Rayleigh Friend Captains(around 10 or 15) trying to get Franky with no luck. I guess I'll try to get Kaku and Lucci with G3 friends. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally hate Story Islands' drop rates
-
Ouch. Got double-himed pretty badly with a team that I had thought was pretty good. Sunk my potential number of attempts too. Still, I got two plus an elder out of two runs.
-
Those Princesses are no friggin joke…chewed up my double Garp team and spat it out
-
That's the damsel in distress trope starring the player as the damsel in distress. That basically sums up my experience with the Turtle Princess. I had to spent a gem because I did't think about the ridicilous amount of damage she deals and unfortunately nobody in my friendlist has a 6* Shanks.
-
And that happy-go-lucky grin she has whenever she binds you randomly… shiver
-
Gotcha, thanks!
Hey, looks like this is the case indeed!
Sure would be nice to pull some level 50s~
-
Hahahahahahahaha
STR characters with chances leveled up:
-Kid
-Log ChopperNot even Oars. Good one Bandai, at least I haven't got any of them yet.

Woooot! :D
Also, I was surprised to have beat princess turtle twice o.o I was like let's wing this, I used double Zoro captain, Perona, Helmeppo, gp usopp, and I forget the last, just some extra muscle. Worked fine, but I didn't get one. Oh well!
-
Upcoming sugo is a great thing, but i really hope that they would get rid of the east blue villains already like they did in japan…
I mean, most of them have their own fortnights, can be farmed with relative ease from the story mode and nowadays most of them are outclassed pretty hard by newer and better units.
And if it would be only those bosses like arlong, smoker etc. Who still see use, but NO, you can spend five (5) gems to get characters like GIN, PEARL, CHOO etc!
At this point they are completely useless, i think that some story mode fodder units are better than them overall.
Well, at least you can socket them now if you get like three kuro-obis in a row
