I do wonder where he managed to get off to… assuming Baam doesn't try to fight Koon's dudes anymore, this'll be a good bit of setup for emotional investment in the Gongbang. Since we assume that Cassano will be there, maybe representing the 'evil' group within the factory.

Its about time, that baam gets some more challenging opponents again. And I hope, that horyang is really dead. Never liked him and it would give the series a more dramatic undertone. Though its extremely likely, that he is just heavily wounded and the bunny girl just lied about his death.

The company's release of S2 Ch49 is out and they talk about some of the official romanizations. They already decided to change room to bang and Lahel to Rachel but are still deciding if they should change the character names to their official spellings or just leave them as is to not confuse people.
Room = Bang
Koon = Kun (He's based off the Soccer player Sergio "Kun" Aguero)
Androssi = Androthy
Lahel = Rachel (Rache is "revenge" in German)
Zahard = Jahad
Hatsu = Hatz
Rak = Rac
There's some more but that's some of the major ones. -

I started reading this recently. Got off to a very slow start (the intense claustrophobia didn't help) but I got hooked when the tests began proper. I loved Part 1 but I'm not a fan of Part 2 so far, although the occasional appearances of the old team help. I also flipped out when Koon ran through the door. I'm badly hoping that he will recognise Baam / Baam will call out to him, but I'm afraid that Baam is going to do some "oh I can't contact my old friends or they will be placed in danger" stunt and pretend to be a stranger and avoid Koon. :(
I also miss the Gator. Badly.~

I started rereading it, just to see what else I catch. I pretty much just skimmed through most of the foreword notes, since I thought they were just useless ramblings. It also feels less draggy since I don't feel compelled to read everything.

So if I got this right, the entire purpose of this arc was so that could FUG could tell Baam: "We still have all you're friends and we can kill them at any time, we can convince any regular to try killing them at any time, and we can make them kill each other". That about right?

Someone in FUG (Probably the regular Poken) Set this all up so they could kill Koon off for whatever reason, and get Baam to join a new team.
Right now he is being forced to join up With Xia Xia, Cassano, probably Apple, and whoever else in on their squad. That is if Xia Xia survives…she just blew up the hand while they were all still in there, maybe she has an escape route. I don't know why they just now started to do all of this since he has been fine on his normal team for the last 2 years (post the Urek incident)

Maybe the translation was too bad or the next chapter may clear some things up, but I also did not really understood what happened and what FUGs reasons were.
If they wanted to kill Koon, then why involve Baam? For only pushing Baam into another, stronger team , that all is far too convoluted. If they wanted to detonate the tower, why not doing it as soon, as Koon came in?

It seems as though FUG indoctrinated XIA XIA a little too well and she's doing what she thinks will make Viole the best slayer he can be (namely by killing the up and coming son of one of the 10 families), she seems to be rather low ranking so it's unlikely she knows about the deal Baam has with FUG, I know there was a message on the lighthouse but I don't think it was her, rather another FUG member hacked that lighthouse so Baam could get that message.
And as far as credibility goes, this event probably ups theirs because they have now proven that they can create a situation where they can easily kill one of Baam's friends, I don't think this explosion is going to kill anyone so FUG can tell Baam that was just a demonstration of what could happen if he ever really did screw up. -

That would make sense. So, their goal was a demonstration and on the same time would get Baam into a stronger team (the author said, that this arc was kind of an intro to the workshop battle arc, so maybe he will face his old team with his new FUG team).
On the other hand, they could have proved their determination in another way, without letting Baam meet his best friend -no matter how short- and without Koon realizing, that Baam is still lives.
Or Glowstuff is right, that there are different factions in FUG. It seemed so in the karaka scene. -
Regardless of FUG's intention, they should have realized that blowing the tower up is useless. They gave Baam that lobster thing after all, so it will protect him (and maybe Koon and co. as well).
What I want to see is Baam use Urek's attack and kill Cassano and Xia Xia.

I just caught up to ToG recently, so I'm not sure how the releases/updates work. Is there a proper, fully translated version of this up yet? If no, roughly when can one be expected to be released? I'm in no hurry, still leisurely re-reading old chapters. :P

Wow… I didn't actually think that Rachel knew about FUG, but that they're giving her a team and she was playing with Koon all along, thats pretty major. So she's either a part of FUG as in an officer or maybe a Slayer candidate (she is an Irregular after all), or Headon's involvment with FUG is way deeper than we think it is, although some guardians are against FUG as evidenced in Karaka's chapter.
At this point it's hard to tell how much Rachel knows about Baam but it could easily go either way. -

! I am so happy with this outcome. I was prepared for Koon to go completely missing for years, sending Baam into a downward spiral of intolerable angst/anguish. But it looks like it's going to be more exciting than that.
! What exactly do you guys think happened with Baam/Koon/pocket? My friend and I figure that either Baam somehow shielded Koon when the explosion happened and then left his pocket beside him, or Baam used his pocket to search out Koon, found him alive, and then used the pocket to get his teammates to help.Handsome man save me from the monsters.
