To each their own taste, Lao G sucks as a character to me, then his POP pfff out of the blue, good thing they dropped it though i wouldn't care much if they made him, and it's the same with the upcoming BB's and genderbender.

I'm just being honest here, I have a thing for well-sculpted male bodies just as I have for well-sculpted female ones. :3 But to put you at ease, the nice abs are not the reason why I'm gonna buy it. I'm gonna preorder Sanji coz he's my fave Strawhat and I passed on many of his POPs coz to me they were too boring or the sculpt was just not good enough. :) So, of course I'm gonna preorder a Sanji with this sculpt and what's even more important, with a serious look on his face. No grin, no smile, no goofy hearts. Yes, thank you, that's what I like best about this figure. If it were any other male character (well except for Croc, duh), I wouldn't consider buying it, coz it looks huge and probably takes up precious display space. But it's Sanji and I like Sanji. I would buy it even if they had given him a winter coat to wear. Of course I would have preferred an action pose, but even IF Megahouse would try one with Sanji, they'd most likely mess it up anyway. They're no Banpresto. :D

Why does Megahouse continue with the fanservice POPs instead of producing characters like Buggy or Cesar or Lao G or whoever? Because it seems that it's profitable enough for them to do it. People buy it. Men buy the bikini girls coz they're hot, women do too coz some might think they're beautiful. And the best for Megahouse is, even people who don't know the source would buy a hot bikini girl. There were people commenting on the genderbend Law, saying that they had no idea who 'she' was but that 'she' was hot and they'd buy it. They probably wouldn't buy Lao G. And even as someone who knows the character, I wouldn't buy him. He's not beautiful or interesting to me, hell I couldn't care less about that character, sad as it is for some. If it were a great sculpt, maybe I'd buy him when sculpted by Banpresto as part of the Scultures line, he'd be cheap. But paying about 100 bucks for some weird looking grandpa? Naaa~ ^^
I'm sorry for everyone that has expected new great sculpts of characters that didn't have a POP yet but I for one have given up expecting Megahouse to deliver something awesome a long time ago, sadly. But it seems that once in a blue moon even Megahouse manages to deliver something that I'm intersted in. ^^ Like the Kabuki Luffy or the new Sanji. I never thought Megahouse would go out of their way and try something new (meaning, no Sanji just standing there trying to look cool but failing coz somehow the sculpt is off).
Figuarts ZERO is also going on the same route. I've never seen a new announcement for some time. Everything is Luffy, Ace or Sabo. I guess they are focusing on other franchises like Digimon and don't want any shelfwarmers. With the new arc, who knows. Maybe they'll focus again on different new characters because they are a thing now.
I honestly don't know what you guys expected. One Piece's overall popularity keeps dropping and Megahouse will obviously only make fanservice stuff that sells at this point. Fandom is really the only thing to blame here. People just want sexy stuff, no one cares about good character design and originality.
We can forever complain about important characters of previous arcs never getting proper figures, but let's be honest here, none of us believe they will sell. And neither does Megahouse.
That being said, at least Sanji's sculpt looks great. Nami and Law look terrible sculpt-wise, their anatomy hurts my eyes. Law has gigantic hands and Nami's waist just brings pain to my insides. Both of their faces kinda make me want to barf.

Pretty cool variations of sculpts we have here. Too bad only one version of a character will be mass produced. I really like フージーターズ Barto because of the body language being emitted, and the pose for 山口 Law. Can't decide with Urouge tho.
I have definitely lost faith in Megahouse, and that's sad after putting so much money in the POP line and thinking about taking it on to One Piece's end and beyond.

Megahouse way to show up prototype and propose different characters lowered quite a lot with the past few years, this year expo and events were barely empty one piece wise, they randomly just threw us few figures, then they just got focus on more girls, reason why they are now throwing a gender bender line, thinking it might work it out and if it doesn't then they stop it and move on to their valuable sale aka Nami.
What bother me the most in this story is the poor value they are giving to international customers, they literally skipped us this time with 3 POP announced exclusive and only the Luffy V2 and kabuki announce as regular sale (not sure for kabuki 100%)
They are the one responsible for the bad sale of their figures with first re-release a shitload, then offering some characters that wasn't important then giving up halfway the Film Z line, starting their numerous bikini nami's and hancock and then the exclusive started to get more and more.
It's getting harder to keep up buying, preorders won't even worth it at this extent, unless i really don't bother paying the price but i doubt Luffy kabuki price will be ok, which now leaves me with more choice and good quality Banpresto prize figure,shame on Megahouse.

I remember someone explaining that aside from having the licence of a series, the companies also need to buy licences for every character they want to make. If that's how it works, no wonder Megahouse gave up producing new characters but continue doing the ones they had before over and over again. So, tons of Namis would save them money in the end even if she didn't sell that well (which I doubt), since they don't have to buy a new licence. ^.^ Doing Cesar for example, they'd have to buy the licence and risk that he won't sell that well coz well … I guess the completionists and the hardcore fans would get him but others probably wouldn't coz they concentrate on characters they like or simply the main characters. I imagine that genderbend Law is something like a super genious move to Megahouse then ... ^^ got the licence but by changing the gender, they also attract male figure collectors. Megahouse hold the license of one piece therefore the characters include,it would be stupid to buy the license for the show and have to pay for each character a total ripoff.
Megahouse is just lazy and start to go on the easy route, remember when Megahouse shows 4/5 prototypes and 3 colored version now it's 1 colored and 3 prototypes,how many POP were released this year?

You don't have to think too much about it, it's like asking why some girls are watching shonen shows to ship the guys together, because they love homoerotism, yet One Piece is still a shounen, but those girls likes it more for the sake of their numerous "OTP"
It's all about taste and vision, some think recycling is useless while some think it's important to not use much primary material.
As some are hardcore fans, some are just enjoying lightly the show, some don't care about the story only certain character, it's all about point of view.

Yeah, I dunno about this Luffy. Dissapointed he can't wear his hat and the lack of accessories for an 8,000+ yen figure is not value for money imho. What's it come with, like 2 heads, 2 left hands and a hat! These are starting to resemble MSP's more than typical POP's…........

I hear ya there!! Has Luffy Vs Mingo even started yet?? The Anime has really slowed down and the way the story is all tying together now makes it impossible for Toei to create long filler arcs. The Z's Ambition Arc and Caesar Retrieval Arc were too short in my opinion. I wonder if we can expect an arc between Dressrosa and the arrival at Zou!

I think first you should enjoy the show for what it is and not the goods released ?
The lack of interest is due to the long arc,dressrosa isn't the greatest arc but it is interesting.
The fact that the anime is slow is because there is a little gap between the anime and manga.

There is female characters in haikyuu!! And this is about a volley club so reason why there is mainly guys.
Also i don't get what change that there is only male in a show and the homo shipping,it's a shounen not a yaoi to begin with,the fact there is only male is not an excuse to me.

Most of yaoi fans are just interest in shipping anyway yaoi genre is good as it is(since sex is the only ending in these genre and even worst)
Free is not a shounen,this is one of the only sports anime that was made for girls audience with all the fanservices which imo kill the potential of this serie so much…

he is indeed exclusive and limited, cost a million i don't think so but something around 5/7k is probably the good price for it in the aftermarket.
the most important thing would be is it a bootleg or legit, don't hesitate to compare the one they are selling with official photos and the one people post.

There is many one piece items in my local supermarket, glass,mugs,figures(dxf mostly) the last time it was Law 15th anniversary outfit and franky shogun dxf, there was dbz one out there too, manga is popular in France!

Yeah, they have been adding a bit of anime/manga figures but for a few months now but my B&N didn't carry any One Piece figures until recently. I've seen Sailor Moon & DBZ Figuarts, and only last week I saw the Dramatic Showcase Shanks and Luffy set. Aside from that they had DBZ Film Z WCF as well as One Piece (Punk Hazard) WCF. And Luffy/Ace Cry Heart figure (but they only had the Luffy portion at my store).

Been off the scene for a little while, doesn't look like I missed much…........Banpresto are defo taking over now with their SCultures line. I remember when Enel and Nami first came out and how awful they were!! Now they are probably the best figures on the market!!

I usually see it preowned but unopened for less than $20, new one shouldn't be more than 3000 yen which would translate into ~$22-24 if you bought it from Japan.

Haikyuu!! is a shounen series just like One Piece and released in Shounen Jump, therefore aimed at boys and not girls. It also has female characters. The reason you don't see much of them is not because the author doesn't pay them any attention but because yaoi fangirls have taken over the fan scene and they prefer the boys …
Now on topic, I guess. Those new Scultures look great and even though ai wish the other Barto had won, I'll definitely preorder this one here too. Law is a must have to me too. He just looks too amazing to pass. :) Urouge ... while he looks great, I don't really care about the character that much so I'll most likely not get him.

Kimono Nami and Robin look fantastic, sculpt wise at least. I believe I've seen painted Kabuki Luffy, too. The only thing I'm tired with now is MegaHouse's limited-exclusive BS. Currently every second figure announced is not a regular release, sigh.
