old man? Geezer? More like trolldad (the ever trolling)
Tower of god
-
-
An entire chapter for settle a character and achieve a step. Good style but didn't impress me.
-
Koon and Rak
-
I enjoyed the last two chapters a lot actually.
I´m glad the game didn´ last long, and the chapter before this one felt very big (in a good way).
-
I'm feelin ToG is ruined for ever… I hope SIU stosp with the people getting betrayed or chieted. I mean it was great with Rachel in the first season, but it's becoming an annoying cliche of the story.
-
Yeah I'm definitely over the whole 'FUG controls everything, plot moves at their discretion' thing. Have them do whatever offscreen for a while, I want to adventure in the Tower!
-
I feel like the Rachel/Baam conflict is speeding up a BIT too much. I'd rather an interesting and original trip on the Hell Train with_out_ the problem of Fug/ whatever the fuck Rachel is doing.
-
Long time no see Baam's fighting style. I'm thinking that a good Thorn burst leaving the old man incrusted on the Hell train while Rachel watching Baam getting to them would be pure hype Then gets defeated an nearly boarding on it.
-
Hopefully Baam grows out of Rachel at some point, the Tower seems far too interesting for the plot to be driven entirely by this relationship.
-
Slowness… it's like Kubo were drawing ToG.
-
My glob, from where this guys came? Baam take out the Thorn for show and Beta took his glory moment.
Rachel goes to release the princess, if it's true the motive that was told to Daniel to go along.
Koon and Yuri are the ones that i'm missing but this is so slow D:
-
Protagonist takes out super secret power up weapon to show off the fruits of his training and have a really bad ass moment. Is interrupted by random person who shoves a random backstory out of nowhere, takes away all the glory and impact of the protagonist and also causes the enemy to run away.
The ineptitude of this writing is staggering…
-
Yes. It was pitiful.
-
Meh is all I can really say with this season so far. The power levels are really screwed up now if season's 2 weaksauce team is going to save Ran. lulz, if we're really going to get another Hwa Ryun rescue arc.
Baam takes out thorn
Baam: So I have a 10 minute limit when I pull out the thorn.
Daniel: Cool?
Boro: So uh what have you been up to Daniel.
Daniel: Blah, Blah, Blah.
Baam: So I guess I can listen to this exposition while Rachel gets away.
10 minutes later Daniel's pocket rings
Rachel: Uh time to go.
Baam: Well I guess I'll show how badass I am now with the thorn tomorrow.
Chapter ends with Rachel staring at the train since we need filler panels every week to show us Rachel is still heading to the train. -
Tower of God has been pretty terrible lately.
weakened Baam curb stomps someone stronger than a B class regular after taking out the thorn, and the thorn was probably only needed because of his initial immunity to the freeze
Later
Baam, at full strength struggles against a supposedly above average veteran D rank regular
During the Yellow ball game, Baam, for some reason, doesn't use Blue Oar
*Even though he was the thorn out while chasing Daniel, Baam, for some reason, doesn't freeze him.
-
Fodder's revenge, indeed.
Was refreshing this chapter, because all what we had seen until now has been raw strength only. Felt very good.
-
!
! This chapter started kinda dull, but the end felt really refreshing. -
The Prince is back
-
Meeting for cliffhanger, expected.
Wangnam's antimatter and Rachel's trolling (<3) was the best of the chapter.
-
I liked the Wagnan's antimatter Monster Balls explanation.
Now it is the time for us to discover if Baam really grew up or if he is still hypnotized by Rachel's fanny spell.
-
So how are you finding the story at this moment?
I think this is a very delicate moment to the whole story, since it's touching the main premises. Baam is having a hard and critic moment there, and I hope SIU will manage to solve it in a believable way. I hope, for instance, Baam doesn't look as the pathetic guy who couldn't survive the betrayal of his beloved. That would ruin the character. From these chapter, I see Baam is still psychologically elaborating what happened back when Rachel pushed him out of the platform. That's believable, because Rachel has been someone very much important to him, and it's not easy to break with people like that. But this is the moment when he has to jump out of the egg and be able to mentally break his bond to Rachel… I pray to god SIU don't come next chapter with shit, hesitation and weak plot twist or delays... Mainly because it could be great... Crossing my fingers.
-
! The way the Thorn reacted is telling me Baam's done with Rachel.
-
So how are you finding the story at this moment?
Shitty, but worth reading.
It is shit because is the sole word to define the actions of childs with powers getting along and being social. Worth reading because SIU made it, i'm amazed by his world and rules… and the only development that i wait from this is the level of Irregular that Baam and Rachel wear.
"Unacceptable"? You got to be kidding me. That was years before, now this is just a little piece of the cake... good chapter, exactly pointing to what i want.
-
Bam is gonna rage like a mother fucker. It's about time he confronted his feelings towards Rachel and can finally move on – even if ends up as Bam climbing the tower just to spite Rachel or joins one of irregulars with their pursuits.
-
Finally….
ALL HAIL BAM!!!!!!!
DIE RACHEL!!!!!!!!!
-
That amazing last panel…
Motherfucker just fucking exploded. Say your prayers, Rachel!
-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
That's a good really damn good chapter!! This increase my weak confidence in ToG.
First: the chapter is directly connected with the mos important premises of the story. (1) There is certain world (the tower) in which there is a promise to get your dreams come true if you access certain place. (2) There is certain couple: she wants to go there and get her dreams come true; he wants to be with her. (3) She left him and goes to that place, but in her way, he manage to accompany her but, the big golden premise, she betrays him and stab him in the back in order to get her dream come true.
No matter what, that it's ToG core. Those are its essentials. So, now it wouldn't make any sense at all if Baam just kills Rachel. Because if that happens, SIU wouldn't have done nothing with those fantastic premises he has settle up for his story. Let me put this in perspective: It's ok if Baam kills Rachel (I don't think that will happen), but not now. First, the story has to take the time to give a decent solution to Baam's feelings and existence. Give if a thought: if, after the event in which he was pushed for Rachel, he just come and kill her that would make of him an irrational and mad vengeful character. "You try to kill me, then I kill you…" Not way to make a good story with such a trashy plot line.
Now, but to have an scene when Baam gets mad about what happened was something heavily needed. And that what we have had: he first asked her, "what did you do?", and since she seemed to give no shit about it, he's going mad: "you're not going anywhere". Now we make wait the decent development:
4.) Baam will "torture" Rachel asking her what is she doing and why did she do what she did.
and there SIU has a chance to write some good chapters...
5) Or Baam kills Rachel or spits in her face and leaves her behind.
6) Baam and the others go for the the tower…Also we needed to see Baam's Thorn in action, and I think the last crazy blow shows not only that he can, against the fears of all the people who know something about the Thorn (Koon, FUG), that he can manage it. It was soooooo gooood to see Baam enraged and using the Thorn!!! (Maybe in the future he even can just show he don't need a thorn to be a truly powerful irregular.)
I'm hyped, can you see?
-
That was a pretty good final two pages. A shame it was preceded by 48 pages of unintelligible drivel.
-
Wait… where it was said that Hell Train takes you to a place where your wishes come true?
Kind of dissapointed but oh well...
-
@Shobu:

Well the hell train is used to get higher up in the tower, so it takes you to a place which is closer to the top where wishes come true
-
Thanks Miz, but that appears to me as a assumption.
Okay, this really deserves the title of Bleach's thread: nothing happened this week.
My bigger dissapointment is Koon, why the fuck you are not moving? only throwing advises. Rachel mute as always and Baam is hearing his Kyuubi. Daniel was the best with his phrase and the purple aura that reminds me of the foe in the previous arc.Let Wangnam catch a pkmn, please SIU.
-
It wasn´t that bad.
Koon used his lighthouse to do things lighthouses do and there was some decent action.
We also wasted no time with Aka or Boro.
I like Daniel, and that hoodie dude with the spear thing provided good scenes.I´m just getting scared with Baam. He´s actually making Rachel look sane for once.
-
To me this is a very critical moment to the story, since it's touching the main lines of the plot: namely Rachel and Baam relationship and also Baam's condition of being an irregular in the world of the Tower. In this moment and arc, SIU could ruin his story for ever or make a bit more sense of it. I hope he develops Baam in a decent and believable way. It's clear he doesn't know all the readers know about Rachel: that he made a deal with Headon which included betraying Baam and pushing him out of that platform, that she stabbed that Koon's minion, that she doesn't give a shit about Baam,… in one word, that she's a despicable bitch. He only knows that she taught him a lot of things and took care of him for a long period of time, and then that, what wasn't predictable at all, she pushed out of that platform. So at least, his behaviour is kind of logical: first he has to ask: "why did you do that?" and second, to get violent and try to make sense of what is happening with Rachel, since he sees she doesn't care much about him.
-
Oh… she pushed him again xD
Greeeaaate info about another Mad Dog.
-
Well if he falls, then it's like if Rachel would have thrown him to the trash of most wasted characters ever. But if he recovers in the fall and do something about it…
-
Finally uncovers the revolution road meaning, neat.
It appears Wangnam will meet Yuri, that's something to hype.
I had the thought of Enryu speaking with Baam, instead the Thorn itself, moar hype.
-
I really liked part 2 chapters with Wangnam and I was always a bit sad that he quickly lost his space to Bam.
I get it, Bam is the MC, but Wangnam left a lot of mystery behind and that can't be developed unless everything is about Bam.
Ffs, even Teddy got more development than Wangnam, or at least back story. -
Well this chapter was unusually good. Things are moving ahead. Let's see:
- Who is the demon talking to Baam. It means he was created for Enryu by someone? That's strange and interesting.
- Finally we see Koon's conections playing. Maybe someone at the top of his family? Also interesting.
- And the other slayer is a nice promise. Let's hope it won't be dissapointing as it happened in the past.
-
I was getting bored by the chapter unil the Bam Dream sequence.
Until then it was really slow paced and seemed like it would drag until next week, but then it got really good.
I hope Wangnam gets some time. Also, Aka is boring the shit out of me. Every time she shows up it's always the same lines.
"I though Daniel was dead", "I cant believe he joined Fug", "How will he revive what's her name?"
Seriously, this is all she says since she was introduced. She seems like a totaly dispensable character. Boro could perfectly play her role right now. -
Break next week. SIU's wrist is hurting again.
-
i am presently interested in Roen most.
-
The fuck with that puzzle, don't even get it. Rachel and Ryun are creepy but awesome <3
Hoaquin must be that guy who plays in Fiorentina. In the series, looks like that princess with the Colorless December. Just a guess.
-
@Shobu:
The fuck with that puzzle, don't even get it. Rachel and Ryun are creepy but awesome <3
I think it doesn't work. The lines doesn't sum 12.
-
Ok, why the fuck are these people even letting Rachel be a part of their team?
Am I missing something? -
Ok, why the fuck are these people even letting Rachel be a part of their team?
Am I missing something?Don't you get that God means betrayal in this world? They need to be betrayed to climb the tower, that's the logic and turtles.
-
Man, I'm really ready for bam to conquer this "thorn" in his side so we can move on. .-.
-
Man, I'm really ready for bam to conquer this "thorn" in his side so we can move on. .-.
Meh, he only started feeling the Kyuubi inside of him a couple of chapters ago, and considering the pace SIU has drawn his chapters recently, I am expecting this to drag on.
-
Rachel Vs Hoaquin.
Indirect psychological warfare weapons only, starts!
I'm officially hyped with that intro to Hoaquin.
-
I barely got a sense of danger from Roen story.
-
Hoaquin sounds very similar to White. Maybe an underling, but the stories kind of match up.
