I don't dislike this chapter, but it completely negates everything. All it did was offer convenient excuses as to why the last chapter meant next to nothing. -

That's one more sign the arm of the oni isn't all that beneficial. It's dangerous for both the enemy and the user, and even anyone gets close to the demon's human vessel if the later can't either move or fight back. I think I said it before, Toriko wasn't himself when he went bonkers at NEO.

Hundreth fakeout, but to Shima's credit, a less egregious fakeout than what I expected/feared.It wasn't bad. I mean, jut the sheer exaggeration of it all makes it worth if only for how incredibly far fetched everything is. Shimabukuro is constantly waving his "sword" and telling everyone it's the biggest sword in the planet. The galaxy. The universe.
I DO think he took it too far this time around, since obviously no one is gonna ever move that fast in 1 milisecond, no one is gonna burst craters by sneezing, no one will decapitate people accidentaly by pointing a finger at them, yet they'll obviously be at this (and PAST this) level os absurd strength and speed very soon. . .but. . .yeah. Wathever. Dragon Ball was slightly guilty of this too.
And last minute poison dolls. . .yeah, again. I guess I'm not one to complain when 2 or 3 months ago we had last minute decapitated sweating string-clones deus ex machinas.
But what I've never liked about Toriko is how the "new fighting styles" they learn ammount to "you'll keep doing the same attacks as before, but faster, stronger and less consuming".
Enbu training will probably come down to = Bigger Kugi Punch. Stronger Fork Armour. Two Armed Devil strikes. Just like Food Immersion was supposed to teach Toriko to use a less "flashy" style, less predictable, using less motions to do an attack. . .and that meant "More Damage for Less Calories! Win Win!". Same thing in DB again, like when Popo basically told Goku he fought like an amateur by doing a gazillion unnecessary movements and relied too much on his physical senses and yet it all came basically down to "Goku just learnt Ki Sensing!", and kept fighting in the exact same way he had been doing till then.
Might be just me nitpicking here, so yeah. Move on!

- His brother single handedly(at least at the time was what he knew) Killed all of his clan.
He still thought that he would be able to kill him with a chidori, and went to the dark side because of the loss.
In this case at least Toriko and company got a power Boost and defeated the Vice-president of IGLO, so their egos got super inflated, even though they are indeed stupid for believing that they would be able to defeat Bambina.

Chapter 295, Toriko and the kings showed themselves not concerned after the hermit told them Bambina was rumoured to be stronger than Heracles which in a sense is understandable since they had just been given a boost from eating AIR. Also, Coco, Sunny and Zebra still had to go through the same shit Toriko went against Heracles. This time however the four got a reality check, a severe one at that, that crushed their conviction and hurt their pride (case in point, Zebra), and as they had never before experienced such a thing, they couldn't stop shaking in fear. The difference was so abysmal they no longer think of themselves capable of challenging Bambina again, thus they are taking a break to muster up strength, train their asses, but only to act as the Monkey King's playmates, not opponents, because they stand no chance, they know Bambina is out of their league.
The whole thing was brilliantly displayed, I think the author should be given credit for.
