Holy shit… (the chapter)

-
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
-
Holy shit indeed, love Toriko's brutality.
Shigematsu and Teppei, wonder who else NEO sent to fight them.
-
Aaaaand Komatsu dies.
Again.
-
Teppei, Shigematsu, and one of the Head Chefs of the Bishokukai. That damned Joa dispatched the top tiers.
Heracles apart, I knew the capture of AIR seemed too easy, and now we know why.
-
Teppei, Shigematsu and Kairu… good lord. Did not see that shit coming at all.
-
Evil Teppei is such a badass, and, I won't lie, I did chuckle quite a bit that he targeted Komatsu and went all out on him from the get-go. lol
-
Teppei just pulled a Killua on Komatsu there, with Komatsu being Jones.
-
Next chapter: it turns out Komatsu's death was an illusion, that Air gave him the super healing powers to make a new heart or both.
-

Dont forget the Cure Water! Plenty of ways this could play out.
-

Has 2 hearts already.
-
Don't forget Atashino also known as the greatest surgeon in the world is there too.
-
At this point, Komatsu could lose every organ in his body simultaneously, including skin, and not be in any immediate danger.
-
I've never seen an organization so excited and secretive about going to crash a salad party
-
O_O
Just… so much holy shit going around. But yeah.. we'll need to see what sort of plot armor shows up this time.
We got Air that heals the body
We got the best surgeon in the world there
We got Heal WaterSo... plenty of ways for him to live.
What makes me happy is how brutal the manga is still. :D -

Besides his lungs or something.
-
@Purple:
Besides his lungs or something.
Air that's been inside Komatsu picks up his DNA and faithfully recreates its master.
-
I'll just leave this here: the brain is the last of the human body organs that ceases to function when the body dies.
@Purple:
I've never seen an organization so excited and secretive about going to crash a salad party
I know, right? That was too awesome, and brutal.
-
Nekketsu was right about the backstabbing:ninja:
-
By the way, what I said in the Jojo thread goes tenfold in here:
I realized that this series is much better if you imagine that, instead of being full grown men, the main characters and villains are all like the Rugrats going on an imaginary muscular adventure.
-
Komatsu's monster uses the healing knife and voila !
-
Well fake teppei or whoever (clone or not clone is confusing) did say "go to sleep" before rippign his heart out. So he'll probably survive.
-

Assuming the brain itself doesn't die first, which is something probable after you've just had your heart ripped out

Of course he'll survive, main character and all. The interesting part will be HOW.

No worries, he ate some of AIR and Coco described in full detail the effects it has in the body.

Generally you need a heart to distribute the air around, but yeah I can see that reasoning saving Komatsu among other things
-

Plenty of ways he could be brought back to life:
- Through AIR insane healing properties
- Atashino with her unmatched surgery skills
- Heart transplanting
- Cure Water
It would work through a combination of 2 or 3 of these points.
and if all written above fails,
Last resort: CENTER
-
Despite knowing that Komatsu isn't dead, it was still pretty epic seeing that scene. Rip out heart and crush it is really cool looking. Also liked the scene of them being able to control part of their devils. Great chapter overall.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "among other things"
Among among other things, they could just go the surgeon simulator route and just shove the heart back in
-
It might be fun to have a "revive Komatsu with CENTER" arc. He really got to show off his ability in this one, so possibly that's because he's going to be out for a while.

They can somehow make the heart regenerate back to full, and then push it back in. Makes me think of the Simpsons episode where they go to China. A monk pulls Homer's heart out of him, then pushes it back in. The twist here will be that nobody washed their hands when putting it back in, so Komatsu will have a super Ebola virus in him, because in Toriko, everything is crazier than in the real world.

I was thinking of just sawing out and grabbing all of the other organs in the way with the precision of a surgeon with no surgical gift and just putting the heart into the leftover cavity but I guess this works too
-
What a heartbreaking chapter. Guess that explains why the villagers look so weird.

I like your idea better, I was just thinking of the scene of the Simpsons and spouted some nonsense. I was hoping I made that clear with the Ebola part, but that didn't work out. Though Ebola in their world must be crazy, assuming it's actually a thing.
-
All this talk about how is Komatsu going to get out of this and no one commented on the fact the chapter revealed how he got Gourmet Cells in first place.
-
Cure water is the solution
-
Eh, I find it slightly annoying that fakeTeppei told Komatsu to go to sleep before he rips his heart out. Is that really standard around there for neutralising people without killing them?
Komatsu either got Gourmet Cells by his long time high class dining, or it was injected into him, either by take during bubble fruit arc or by midora sometime during the timeskip.
I don't recall if it was specifically mentioned that any of the ingredients they hunted explicitly had gourmet cells, but I think most of them were of high enough level to be so. -
Teppei didn't even said i killed you. He is just knocking Komatsu out. In Torikoverse it's a bit different as we all know.
-
BTW, I would like to point out that alot of you are impatient. As this chapter shows, the author has a plan and is sticking by it.
And yes, I'm refferring to the Blue Nitro not showing up. Obviously part of the story.

Anf since when can teppei zombie talk?
-
Toriko is that kind of manga which can have a plot as absurd as it is interesting, and that kind of manga when you don't really care about the plot itself, but you are enjoying it because of spectacular art and world building.

Nowadays people are impatient for everything. Just take a look at the OP manga thread.
Anf since when can teppei zombie talk?
Well, as far as I recall he talked even if just a little during Cooking Fest.

I agree that there has been a deal of impatience, but for Toriko it's been more about certain events happening, and less that they want to happen. Same can be applied to OP to a degree.

He's always been able to talk, probably. Just like all of the brainwashed Bishokukai and Zaus.
-
Chapters like this are the reason why I could never give up on this series.
-
who is that other other person? Shigematsu? The snake that impaled Mansam during the cooking fest is there
-
I just recalled something. Didn't Joa wanted Komatsu alive because he has the book of recipes? If so it's no wonder Teppei said that.
-
Komatsu isnt dying, Shima is like Kishimoto when it comes to killing main characters…

And Oda… tear
-
as far as I recall both toriko and naruto had character deaths
it was oda the one who took forever to kill relevant characters
