Who are the best/worst parents in anime/manga?

Oh and the mom in my avatar and sig is totally cool.
And her husband is the only example of the "ever-absent legendary person shounen dad" archetype I'v seen who's actually a decent parent. He has a legitimate reason for being away (fighting Gunpla Mafia as Gunlpla Police masquarading as Gunpla Hobo. Yes.) and spends all of his free time with his family.

As anime dads go, Hohenheim wasn't too bad…
-
-Miyamoto Musashi's dad from Vagabond was pretty much the worst dad you could have…. what kind of dad makes their
child want to kill them? That's crazy yo!-Killuas mother is pretty sick in the head... Illumi kinda acts like a parent to Killua so he could count as well
As for good parents, we have:
-Gorou Kanzaki, Jins 'dad' from Zetman, not biological but he still cared about him alot, sacrificing many things, maybe out of guilt, maybe out of love, but he tried.... even after his death-That mother from HxH who still recognised her daughter even after she was turned into a chimera ant, and accepted her... that's some deep love yo
-Vivi's dad
-Ace's mother (loads of sacrifice there)
-Nanjiro Echizen from Prince of Tennis is a pretty cool dad... he's just chilling all the time true, but he's just cool

The mother of Sasuke from Ponyo. That driving…

The mother of Sasuke from Ponyo. That driving…
A crazy storm with large dangerous waves? Ain't nobody got time for that.

In the second world of Mirai Nikki,
Worst Mother: Yuno's Mother
Worst Father: Yukki's Father -
I assume you guys don't know Mistsumasa Kido from Saint Seiya.
Quick summary: you are this EXTREMELY rich old man who travels around the world fucking as many women as you possibly can. When you are visiting Greece, some dying guy gives you the godess Athena who reborn as a baby. Since you impregnated many women around the world, you decide to build a complex to train all your sons so they can become future warriors who will protect Athena (oh, yeah, suddenly all the women who bore your kids die - a coincidence never brought up in the manga, but c'mon - leaving them orphans and then they are sent to you). So you put your small kids through 6 years of rigorous military training while they are treated like shit by your personnel never knowing you are actually their father and after that, when they are around 7~8 years old, you send all of them to different parts of the world so they can receive even more insane training in hellish places away from everyone they grew with.
Another 6 years pass and only 10 of them come back alive while 90 died (yeah, you had 100 kids) and not a single one can even talk shit to you because you died peacefully in yout sleep in the meantime so you could become the role adoptive father of Athena and be seen as a great man for the rest of the manga. -
Shinji from Evangelion has a pretty terrible father. Gendo, was it?
-
We already talked about Gendo on the first page, where we all came to the conclusion that he was actually a misunderstood super father who let his son pilot a giant robot, hang out with a bunch of chicks, and reunited him with his mother in various forms and was overly distraught by the loss of his wife while trying to let his son be happy that he ended up creating distance between his son and himself.

Oh I just read the first page and that comic strip.
My view has changed 180 degrees.
Hated Shinji anyways so it wasn't too hard. Also, Yotsuba has a pretty awesome dad, right?
