I'm both regretting and not regretting refraining from ordering the 7th dragon figures. They are beautiful, but honestly that is it for me as I don't know the series. I wasn't willing to spend money on a series I don't know or love. I admire photos of them greatly, and sometimes wonder about buying them but it's simply impractical for me to buy figures like that, need to draw the line somewhere!
I do play Kamitani games so I'm glad we're getting Dragons Crown figures. However, I'm hopelessly wishing for Oswald from Odin Sphere or Kisuke from Muramasa. Someone needs to have the balls to make more male figures…
On another note, my Naruto RAH arrived today to join Sasuke. I've caught up with the older RAHs I want with the exception of Edward from FMA but he's not hard to find (just got Roy, AMAZING!!). Excited for my Guts and Mikasa. Somehow I think owning the RAHs makes me want other renditions of those characters less. The RAHs are just so good, (almost) everything else doesn't reach that level. They're expensive, but in a way they end up saving me money if that makes any sense...?
Yes, I understand your feeling maggie but I do it the opposite way. When a figure sculpt/design is so good even though I know nothing about the character, I try to search what is the series it came from. That way I came to know (and watch/play) the Fate series, Kamitani games, Persona games (yes, I'm late), Crows x Worst manga. I don't watch anime much, so this hobby of figures collecting often serves as the gate for me to know other series than OP. :)
Regarding RAH, my Saber RAH just arrived at the post office. It would be my first RAH. Generally I don't like action figures as much as fixed one. The joints, seam lines kill it for me. But let's see. Probably I would love them just like you do, maggie. :)
